Didn’t that O’Reily kid just sign a new deal or was rumored to be on the brink of doing so?
-
Hato + Rogers would make this a solid 8.5 out of 10 window. Probably as good as we could’ve realistically done. New top class keeper would be the only blemish if we can pull off those two deals above.
-
Another forward of Ekitike’s profile doesn’t make any sense for us anymore. Do t know why our name is still being put out there. João Pedro has instantly stepped in and looked lethal and at home and Delap has looked promising as well. Why would we spend another £80m+ on another striker? If we have that kind of money to throw at another attacker it should be Rodrygo or Rogers.
-
Liverpool will get Isak in the end. There’s no chance he turns down that move and will push Newcastle to let him go I think. They’re going to sign TWO £110m+ players in a single window. Let’s see how the hundreds of Liverpool pundits in the media react now that their beloved club who always does things “the right way” unlike City and Chelsea are spending insane money and bringing in 6-7 players in a single window.

I actually think he would get decent minutes rotating with Gittens on the left. Not saying that’s what I’d do or want to see, but I can definitely envision Maresca using him quite a bit early on as we get Gittens up to speed and used to the managers ideas.
-
Bayern pushing hard for Luis Diaz. I assume that unfortunately means they aren’t after Nkunku anymore. Seems like he’s going to stay at this point and that Jackson may be the one to go eventually.
-
Tend to agree with this. Unless it was just Maresca sending a message to NJ that he needs to grow up and that he will be buried in the bench if he doesn’t work his ass off. But I think it’s more likely that he already has multiple suitors and we didn’t want him to get injured before a big move.
-
Kind of strange how he seems so highly rated on the internet yet hasn’t really been linked with anyone this summer and no big clubs have moved aggressively for him yet.
-
Weird how we haven’t heard a peep about Veiga. Either about staying or going. It probably makes sense to keep him since we aren’t even linked with another LB currently. But at the same time the entire reason he left on loan in the first place was because he wanted to start games. I didn’t watch a second of his time at Juve so I have no clue what he did there.

It’s hilarious to watch how depressed United fans are these days. All of the other big boys are loading up and have all signed multiple good players when they’re already miles ahead of United. Meanwhile, they’ve signed only 1 player in Cunha who nobody else was after and have been “negotiating” for Mbeumo for like 6 weeks. As I said though, Cunha and Mbeumo are annoyingly good signings for them considering their position. Two attackers who have caused us loads of problems when we’ve played against them. If they can pull off just a decent striker to upgrade Hojlund they’ll be much improved and dangerous. Maybe an Ollie Watkins?
-
Badiashile is fine as a squad player. He isn’t a calamity waiting to happen any time he gets the ball like Disasi.
-
True. Surely that’s not the plan!
-
Put a pause on the CB stuff for now since Tosin and Trev look super solid and Levi has gotten better and better recently. Wait until the next window and assess. Perhaps there’s a better CB market by then. Maybe this Sarr kid we brought over from Strasbourg is a proper player. Instead, we should get ourselves an absolute animal of a LB who can rotate with Cucu when he needs a rest and for the lesser comps. Someone who can run up and down the left side all day.
-
Never thought I’d see the day where a club like Newcastle could go out and spend €75m on a player that’s not even assured to start. From what I’ve been reading the last hour or so it actually seems like they don’t plan to sell Isak?
-
All 5 UCL clubs loading up this window. It’s a serious arms race. Plus Spuds even showing ambition signing Kudus and maybe getting Gibbs-White. Plus who knows who else. The there’s Villa & Man United who haven’t really kicked into gear yet. With no European football at all I actually think United could be dangerous as an outside contender for the final UCL place if they nail the rest of the transfer window. If they sign Cunha, Mbeumo, a striker, and a CM of some sort then they’ll have a pretty strong team tbf to them.
-
Ekitike to Newcastle can only mean one thing, sadly. Isak will be going to Liverpool. Surely no chance Newcastle have an £85m backup striker and I can’t imagine the player himself would go there to play second fiddle.
-
With Wesley Fofana at this point I’m just going to view him the exact same way I do Lavia. I’ll enjoy the 30% of the season they’ll be on the pitch and looking brilliant but we’ll never be able to fully count on them. Just keep them around for quality depth that will be in and out of the team on the rare occasions they’re fit.
-
I just don’t see us shipping Sanchez away at this point. Like I’ve been saying since the Maignan ordeal, I think once that move didn’t happen the club have ceased attempts to get a new keeper this window. They figured Maignan for dirt cheap was too good to pass up and saw a crazy “market opportunity” as the saying goes. Once Milan played hardball we walked away. Sanchez will have until January to again show he should stay. So the club should now be prioritizing Cucu cover and getting Rodrygo/Fofana to complete our team. One last statement signing that will tell everyone after that CWC title that we are genuine PL contenders.

Yep. Rivals fans all over the place laughing at Delap and how he made a huge mistake coming here now we’ve signed Pedro. Idiots. Delap is going to be a big player for us and play a LOT of minutes. He has shown already in this CWC that he’s going to be a huge pain in the ass for defenders. -

I suspected we’d have a genuine chance despite everyone writing us off if we went front foot, aggressive, and tried to match PSG’s usual intensity. What I didn’t expect was PSG to completely crumble when an opponent actually stands up to them and aren’t scared! They were shell shocked by our intensity. And they also clearly hadn’t done their scouting on Cole Palmer. -

I love Delap and Pedro both already. Absolute menaces both of them. Love a striker that thrives on the physical stuff and isn’t afraid of anyone. -

The finishes from João Pedro are phenomenal of course but the most impressive thing for me is the composure. He is ICE COLD in the final third so far for us. Looks like he’s finishing in training! -

At this point we should be HOPING it’s Reece in midfield and not Gusto. It’s the better of a shit situation.
