  1. Carlo played youngsters more than any other manager has in recent times. The thing is that you can't just rely on these players too heavily, especially as your first season as a manager. I think in his first season Carlo has done very well to use them as much as he has. And i think that bodes well for a lot more next season.. Plus the fact that we are looking to bring down the wage bill, this is one way to do just that.
  2. Earned himself a bit of cult status here, but definitely needed to be moved on....
  3. Couldn't agree more.... The club have made the right decision with Joe, the fact is he has not earned a pay rise, if he can get the extra money elsewhere then good luck to him, end of the day the club need to be doing something about our wage structure and this is the outcome of that. Joe doesn't come out of this looking too good in my opinion, even worse if he ends up at Spuds or Arse. With Ballack it was 100% time to move on, good player but we need to be looking to build something new at this club and keeping Ballack around would not have helped with that at all. For me it was more than clear that we needed to let him go and the club have followed it through. I am so pleased that the club finally seem to have a direction under Carlo and from my point of view the right direction. We are looking to build for the future. Ballack and Belletti's departures are step in that direction and not being held to ransom by Joe Cole shows we are looking to build seriously, also that we have confidence of a replacement. Also importantly as has already been mentioned we have confidence in our youth and hopefully they will step up this season.
  4. As far as forwards go yes we have Mitrovic, Prosenik, Pirez not to mention Sala, Tore and Lalkovic. All of whom have a lot to prove, Lalkovic, Tore and Sala need to work on consistency even though they have a lot of talent. Tore in particular can overdo things and be frustrating or he can decimate teams and have them begging for mercy, we say both sides during this seasons FA Youth Cup.
  5. pointless and unfair to compare the 2 players. Both excellent players and have massive potential.
  6. Yes he was, and rightly so. When he made his first team appearance everything was going so well for him. The he hit a big big injury, and when he came back he wasn't anywhere near the same player and then he got another bad injury. He will do well somewhere, just not at Chelsea now with the standard for youngsters being constantly raised here.
  7. Yes they do look after injured players well which is why this deal comes as no suprise. Don't think Woods will make it with us now though.
  8. Interesting, have not seen that anywhere yet. Would not be suprised about Heimann as we have a lot of keepers around at the moment, Haxhia has already left too. Not too sure what Woods contract situation was like but if it was coming to an end then i am not suprised to see it happen.
  9. Chances are that he will have neither a loan or first team appearances. Next seasons reserves league will be different which will mean more games. He may get an appearance in the first team but at this stage i would be a little surprised. It all comes down to how Carlo thinks he is doing in training.
  10. Aguero for me, class player that will only get better....
  11. This story certainly refuses to go away. Still find it hard to see where he fits in with us, but there is still some mileage left in this story by the looks of things.
  12. Joe has found himself in a tricky situation. The financial restraints and the market in general have meant that Joe will not likely get the wages he wants anywhere else, so he will end up saying he will stay in the end i am sure. But doesn't seem the best way about doing things if he is supposed to be a Chelsea fan..... he will only stay because no-one else will offer him the money he wants. Love the guy, but have not liked the way this has gone on..

  14. The "debate" is not even a debate anymore. It is a joke to say that Gerrard is anywhere near Lampard now.....
  15. Agree, but they have to be assimilated into the squad first which is the hard part. But Josh is a unique player and i can't see a problem bringing him through. Video just uploaded of Josh:
  16. Rafa has done a good job of keeping them pretty average, would hate to see them bring someone decent in. Thankfully their problems run deeper than just a manager. But Rafa has made some shocking signings over the years..
  17. If City start to be more shrewd with their signings and stop just going for names they will really be a threat this season. No CL football will make it harder for them to attract the players but as i said, if they are clever with their signings then they will do well.
  18. In my opinion it doesn't matter where he is Josh's talent is massive, incredibly gifted footballer. Transferring that talent into the first team is never easy to do but Josh could be the best talent we have brought through the ranks.
  19. Attacking midfielder about the most i know of him so far, will be coming in as first year so not sure how much we will see of him next season in the youths.
  20. Excellent and surprising news! Fantastic to tie Essien down to a good contract and hopefully he can keep the injuries away. Didn't expect for him to be getting a new deal at all.....
  21. Affane seems to be the only signing so far. Not too sure on what the situation is with Pirez if he will be able to come over yet or not, same with Delac, i am sure i heard someone from the club say they are not 100% sure he will be able to come over for next season.
  22. Josh McEachran is nothing like Frank Lampard. It is hard to compare him to someone, but his technical ability is amazing, I will be making a video of Josh tonight, will post a link to it here later.
  23. Can't see it happening to be honest, why would the club do it? If it does happen though someone at the club would need to be strung up by their balls for letting it happen.
  24. Can't see it as a bad thing myself, just see how it works i suppose.
  25. It's madness, the basis of this story is that he wants to get away from being booed. It's ridiculous, there is no basis of a reason for him to leave Chelsea.
