So he has 2 years left on a contract now? Fair enough by me as he is still on top of his game, it is once the performances start to decline that we need to be looking at letting them move on, also if he does decline this season we can look to get a fee from him next summer.
-
From the very rough translation he won't be here for another season. He wil be 18 when he does eventually come over then.... Lots of good young centre backs vying for positions at Chelsea.
-
For a defender to sit behind Terry, Alex and Ivanovic we have Bruma, Hutchinson, Mancienne, Rajkovic......... and thats assuming we let Carvalho go, if we keep Carvalho then even less need to sign a centre back

We won't be signing a centre back

Do you believe Aguero will sign for Chelsea this summer?
EskWeston replied to Swoopz's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
No, i don't think we will be making any big signings. Although i would love to have him here... -
Rajkovic has not been able to join up with Chelsea yet due to work permit issues, also he has had a number of injuries to contend with, but is still seen as an prospect. Not too sure if he will make it or not, probably not, but the club clearly want to give him another year before anything is decided.

It will all kick off big time after the world cup. Also not sure at how our transfer activity will be this summer, we may not be in the market for much...
-
The feeling i am getting is that there will be NO big signings and we will be restricting our spending on both transfer fees and wages. Which is why i expected us to go for younger players like we have done recently with the likes of Ivanovic, Matic and Sturridge. Signing Benayoun on the other hand does indeed have the feeling of the sort of poor signings we have made previously just to be cutting back. If this is the road we are going down we might as well just use our own youth products than sign average players like Benayoun................
-
Just can't see the point of signing average squad players like this, we have a very very good squad. We need to either add a top class signing or 2 or to bring in young players who can grow into top players.
-
Seriously hope not!!! Release Ballack, Belletti and Cole, sell Stoch and sign Benayoun........ would be a terrible signing, average squad players we do not need.
-
Looked a class player. But always worry about signing players only on the basis of a good world cup, if however it was a player we had already targeted and they had a good world cup then that is different.
-
Not bad to have picked up €5.5m for him, this is the sort of money we want to be making for the players we move on, the academy pays for itself and then adds to keep building it up. Still would have been better to make him into a class first team player for us. Think it is a wrong step for Stoch but i am sure he will go on to be a very decent player.
-
Always a decent opener to the season, and any game against the Mancs is an interesting one...
-
The reserve league is under review for next season. I think that there will be a full league next season rather than it being split which will be much better for player development. I think the main problem will be these players getting ahead of the ones who HAVE worked with Ancelotti and him having not seen them work with him.
-
Unless of course they felt they would not convince him to sign a new contract and decided to cash in now rather than lose him on a free in a years time. I don't think any signings are in the pipeline at the moment....
-
Fact is that 95% of our youth products will find other clubs.... That is a fact of academy football. We would do well to make 5% through. The problem with this one is that Stoch was a real potential to have an impact with our first team.
-
Was seriously poor to let him stay on loan at Blackburn for the second half of the season. I don't think the club feel he is part of our future now, would expect him to possibly find a move this summer, same with Sinclair.

Our club lacks in keeping fans in the loop
EskWeston replied to Swoopz's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
It has always been the case. And that won't change, the official website was the last to confirm the Stoch story and no explanations regarding the other departures. The club are poor at handling these things. -
Poor Poor move from the club. Clearly he wanted first team opportunities and the club could not convince him enough, as far as wide players go i would have him in over anyone in our team at the moment with his pace and skill on the ball. And having just completed a big season in Holland he was poised to step up to our first team. I think there is a bit 2 sides to it, i think Stoch was a little badly advised by someone, given the chance he could have made a real impact at Chelsea. And also i think the club didn't quite handle it too well. A deal should have been sorted before he went on loan last season to be honest, he has always shown massive potential. I fear for the other players who have been out on loan this season, Bertrand, Mancienne and Cork in particular because it seems that these players are unlikely to be kept around now.
-
If this turns out to be true i will be f**king fuming. One our most promising young players who have moved up every single step when asked perfectly and just when we can use him for our first team and he would be the most attacking creative winger in our squad we sell him. A loan maybe would have been a good idea, but even then i would have used him in OUR team. Would be a very bad move
-
Has not been able to play properly for the club yet due to work permit issues. Has only played in friendlies but seems to be quite a talent. Not sure if he will be able to join up this summer or not...
-
Could possibly be a season too early for the youngsters to take these big numbers. But it all depends on how Carlo expects to use them. Would love Kakuta to get 10 and Stoch 7 but like i say, possibly a season too soon.

I won't boo him, not at all. But i am already disappointed with him and we are yet to see how he deals with it all. But booing is not for me.
