With £20m mentioned as being rejected already, this has already become farcical, there is no way we are touching this deal. Even before the prices mentioned it wouldn't have made much sense to sign him.

Kakuta has the ability to play a number of positions and that is good for him. I agree that ability to get past players makes him ideal for a wide position, and Stoch and Kakuta out wide would be great, but i just see Kakuta's best chance of regular football being in the centre pulling the creative strings.

I think from Bruce Buck's recent interview and various other noises coming from the club that the chances of us making a big signing are very small indeed. Expect something along the lines of last season where we signed Zhirkov, Matic and Sturridge. This means that the club will be really needing to draw on the young players and it could be that Carlo really does see the likes of Kakuta, Stoch, Bruma and Hutchinson stepping up big time next season. I think it could be very good for the club as these youngsters really could be world class. I mean Stoch is every bit as good as Kalou, Kakuta certainly can replace Deco, Hutchinson can step into the right back spot so easily when needed and Bruma more than capable to cover at centre back instead of Carvalho. Also i see no problem with Cork being cover for one of the midfield spots.

No thanks, can't see it as an improvement to our squad to be honest. We are only being mentioned to bump the price up for City.

Drogba has stated numerous times recently that he is very very happy here and wants to stay.

Mancienne may be ahead of Bruma in terms of development but Bruma is ahead of Mancienne on pure ability. It is not really clear who the players Carlo plans to use next season but the most important thing is that he does plan to use the youngsters more, he has done well to use so many in his first season and we can hope to see more of it in the coming years.

For me there are 3 definates for next season: 1. Miroslav Stoch 2. Gael Kakuta 3. Jeffrey Bruma There will be more players involved but it seems Carlo wants to use 5 on a regular basis, Personally i would go with Jack Cork and Van Aanholt. Would not be suprised to see players like McEachran and Clifford used here and there next season also.

You certainly wouldn't bet against Frank doing it, would be nice for him to do it, but being in the position to do it as a midfielder just goes to show how good he is, the best midfielder we have seen at this club for sure and he is a complete legend.

Again the press showed up to be printing lies, however this wont get showed aywhere other than the Chelsea site, so most people will assume that we are in debt still, which is exactly what the press want everyone to believe.

I'm sure Lamps isn't too bothered about missing the pen.. Would have been nice for him to score it but it didn't matter in the end.

Have to echo what has been said already, yes Guus did fantastic for us last season and deserves a lot of credit for that, however this season has no relevance on Guus at all... A similar post was posted after the league win about how the team doesn't have the same spirit as under Jose. We have just won the double for the first time in our history, lets give Carlo the biggest amount of respect possible without trying to detract from what he has done for us at a time of massive celebration.

Yes but he needs to be able to deal with that or he won't grow into a World Class footballer, we have 2 options for him now, play him on a semi regular basis or let him go on loan. I think the club feel he may be too good to go on loan and we can get some serious use out of him next season.

Yes indeed, very Robben like. Have enjoyed watching play since the day he joined the club, excellent talent. Yes that does seem to be what he is indicating, but it down to the club to talk to him and explain that he will need to force his way into regular starts but he will be given the oppertunity. No-one just walks into the Chelsea Starting 11.

Even if Anelka isn't offered a new contract it would appear that 4-3-3 is where we are heading. And To play both Drogba and Torres in a 4-3-3 doesn't work, Anelka can work it better but with Torres it just wouldn't work,

Not exactly a ground breaking quote from Carlo, he isn't saying that Chelsea will be trying to sign Torres, just that he admires him as a player. Again wher on earth does Torres fit into our team? Carlo would also love to sign Messi but it isn't going to happen is it?

Kakuta has already considerably bulked up! I don't see a problem with Kakuta getting more games next season, when given the chances this season he was fantastic.... Shame for Di Santo, he is a good striker who could have gone onto progress very well into a top player. The loan to Blackburn though screwed him big time, can't for the life of me understand why the loan was extended in January.

Even if he did that he wouldn't get the credit he deserves, the media would give Rooney all the credit for standing 10 feet away from Lampard.

Frank Lampard is immense.. There is no other midfielder like him and the fact that he continues season after season to play at such a high level is just incredible. Players like Lampard will never win world player of the year awards but he should do because he is unbelieveable. Will be a sad day when we won't be able to draw on his ability for Chelsea anymore.

Roman doesn't get enough credit for sure. Seems to be he only gets credit when we are winning the league. Clearly the whole Jose thing made him a villian in some peoples eyes but we are very lucky to have him indeed.

Are you saying that Mancienne is a better player than Mikel? As i have said in another thread i would not be suprised to see Mancienne move on in the summer. This is going to happen more and more because not all young players can break through, but we can make some money back off him which will go back into the academy, we would probably get £5m upwards for him i would think. At 22 he is right that it is time to make a descision on where his future lies.
