as much as it hurts me to say this, i dont think we have been found wanting in europe cos of our players, but cos of jose. RM had the best team in the world yet jose lost 3 semis, very much in the same manner as we lost our semi and the round of 16 leg. we can buy reus and pogba, but they wont make a difference if we are playing ultra defensive "percentage" football. winning CL means taking some risk and getting some/"a lot of" luck. even if we get the latter, jose has to take the first.

hahhaha,, true story...

i would have expected a mid table team rather than a relegation team. nonetheless, welcome to PL, bamfordinho.

we are taking players to a pre-season to get their fitness up to the mark and some match practise. whats with "why did we not take boga/musonda/colkett/x,y,z youth player" unlike last season, we are getting only 3/4 matches for our pre-season. we need our first team players to play as much time as they can. instead of wasting them on players who would have NO part at all in the coming season. also, this summer, its been almost no football for most of them, unlike last year, where the players would have been training rigourously for the world cup. the squad we have taken, pulls no punches. Goalkeepers: Thibaut Courtois, Asmir Begović, Jamal Blackman Defenders: John Terry, Gary Cahill, Kurt Zouma, Branislav Ivanović, César Azpilicueta, Ola Aina, Jake Clarke-Salter Midfielders: John Obi Mikel, Ramires, Cesc Fàbregas, Nemanja Matić, Oscar, Eden Hazard, Victor Moses, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Nathaniel Chalobah Forwards: Diego Costa, Loïc Rémy, Dominic Solanke, Bertrand Traoré falcao, willian, luis and juan will join a week later (the latter 2 might not even be here by the end of the transfer window). so basically our first team squad plus a chalobah/RLC. good enough for me. lets get them up and running for the coming season. ps - thank god for no salahs and no marins and no piazons to waste our time.
-
you can call moses injury prone, worst decision maker, hopeless finisher, but in no way is he "technically poor". and falcao "techincally poor"... what football do people see. dont know what the deal is with keepin him but would be a good squad player. he has already proven that.
-
dont think he ll leave until we get pedro. so basically, everything will come to the head in 2/3 days' time when the barca elections are done with.
-
willian just threw a hissy fit seeing this pic.
-
just shut the fuck up man!! they need him. they only have cazorla, walcott, ozil, ox, sanchez. they need 3 more.
-
ivanovic. senoirity. warrior and has about 4-5 years left in him.
-
first thing first. pedro has played a LOT on the RW. secondly, pedro's contract was going to run out in 2016. barca would have got NOTHING for him. hence, they lowered his buyout clause.

cuadrado go bye bye.. 4 AMs. remy and traore.. more than enough.

whats wrong with 6 goals and 6 assists for a RM/RW in 1544 minutes. he will improve our starting 11 but he will improve our squad and squad strength drastically.

i would have been running naked down the street if it had been anyone but "sun" (or metro or mail, infact anyone but sky and bbc)
-
they spent 40mil on them. bastian - 14mil, morgan -25mil. nonetheless, great business.

i saw many psg games, and motta was very poor. he is 32 years old, on the decline, seemed disinterested, would be joining a new league. why exactly would we sell a player who is a good fit for us, 28 years old and has some sale value. if mvg has a good loan spell and shows that he has what it takes to be here, he can replace mikel next season. also, we already got a stop gap for this season in falcao. no more short/shortest term signings.
-
not even close to 10-11. we let go off ballack, deco, beletti, cole and sold carvalho, while buying ramires and benayoun. this season we have let go off DD and sold cech while replacing them with falcao and begovic. its not even close. our first team consisted of a 33 year old DD, 32 year old anelka, 30 year old malouda and 32 year old lamps just in the front 6 (while having jt and cole in the defence). things are poles apart right now. we already have a very good squad. we need to "upgrade" it. even if we dont, we will be one of the best squads in europe with the best manager in the world.
-
he scored 11 goals, had 9 assists in 2219 minutes of football last season in all competitions. which is a goal/assist every 110minutes. hardly unacceptable i would say.
-
so we should sell mikel for someone who was very poor last season, would probably cost us as more and may even not fit into the team like mikel is!!!
-
i agree, but none of these guys have a chance in hell, to make it here. according to wagnh, these are the numbers they cost us on the books : 3,180,000 marin 3,560,000 salah 2,600,000 piazon 3,360,000 moses 2,736,000 romeu 12256000 total which is equivalent to a 30mil signing on 120kpw wages.. a semi superstar signing.
-
hahahhaa...
-
torres was a 50mil worth of investment, we let him go for free. even paid half his wages while he was at milan. and yet we are keeping mikel just cos "no club will pay for him and his wages". come on man.. dont let the mikel hatred make you blind to everything. i ll feel good too knowing we have him on our bench. a dependable defensive sub.
