nope...

Begovic and our skimping was definitely from reputable sources. And as I said, there is never smoke without fire. What's even more baffling is that there is the same genral pattern in all of those rumors of trying to skimp our way thru.
-
i did not mention witsel. as far as turan goes, his agent said that they were in contact with chelsea and 3 days later said that there never was any club except for barca. so i dont know what to think there. aranguiz thing has been going on as well as baba.
-
we still have not put in a bid officially and i hope so we dont do that stupid a thing. also, if there is smoke, there is a fire. aranguiz, turan, baba - all have had the same rumors.
-
i dont mind the "one in , one out" policy. maybe jose does feel that we have a complete squad and does not really want to hamper the balance and chemistry of the squad.
-
people on here think that we WON the PL by playing counter attacking/ park the bus football..
-
i can understand the one out, one in policy. probably jose considers the squad good enough, does not want to jeapordize the balance and the chemistry. what i cant understand is the fact that we are trying to be so miserly.
-
i think this is where we differ a lot. 3/4 players having a good season is a LOT. you cant expect kids to have break through seasons so easily.

1. it was not clear cut because of the emotional bond on here. but logically there was no other way to go. like u said "followed by relief" cos most of us and anyone supporting chelsea would have wanted that to happen to continue our development. 2. like u said, we can go over it all again. i can only guess what lukaku might have had to say seeing a 4th striker in etoo, before a WC year with benteke as his competition. so we ll literally be going in a circle here. as for sturridge, if he can do the walk as well as the talk, i dont have a problem. my point was there are anyways very few loanees out of our 27 loaned out players which have a "real" chance of making it to the first team. players like davila, joao rodriquez, cuevas, perica etc etc are barely another name. out of all our loanees, these 4 along with thorgan would have stood out. thorgan had a good season and was sold, bamford had a good season - loaned again. chalobah - still undecided. pasalic - had a brilliant loan and loaned again. so it makes you wonder, IF we even want to use our loan players.

british grand prix, wimbledon.

1. what was the alternative? sell a 22 year old WC GK, to keep a 33 year old WC GK who may very well start to decline? keeping courtois was sensible. i am sorry, but if our baord and jose get the credit for THAT then things are really as bad, are not they. 2. how will it be better? have not we already been there and done that? lukaku is the example here. what changed? or would change? fair enough on the falcao point though. 3. he mentioned that chelsea will BUY pedro if moses and/or cuadrado leave. at max traore will be our 5th choice AM (something that we did not have last season and were quite comfortable). like i said, i would let the number of minutes traore gets do the talking. how many loanees did u expect to have a breakthrough season. except for bamford, chalobah, mvg, pasalic did any other loanee even have a chance for "the next year".
-
courtois is an exception. he is one of the best GKs in the world. if those are the standards we are setting for an loanees and mainly academy/youth products, we may as well call it BOGUS. bamford is never ever going to be one of the best strikers in the world. are we willing to take a chance on champioship's player of the season. NO. as for traore, i would let the number of minutes he gets on the pitch do the talking rather than the 6th AM spot that he has got.
-
cesc played number 10 mainly in away games when we wanted to provide even more solidity to our mid or during the second half of the season when he was out of form/costa was injured/ as a team we were unconvincing. but i agree, a 4-3-3 of cesc-matic-vidal would be as perfect as a midfield trio can be.
-
PL, CL, FA, LC, CS - anything less is not acceptable.
-
a midfield trio of vidal-matic-cesc would have dominated world football. even a midfield of vidal-matic with cesc as no.10 would have been exponentially better than anything we can put forth currently and in no way less creative than our current midfield.
-
if we are not buying anyone at this moment, it would make sense to loan him right now and sell him next season and use that money to buy a "big player" if necessary.
-
ADM to psg rumors are really really heating up.
-
oh. did not read that. so it seems he is right, the "market is cl osed". we ll probably by a LB and whatever "replacements" are needed.
-
‘That is the market. And you only pay it if you want. If you don’t want to pay it, don’t pay. It’s as simple as that. The market has no rules or limits from season to season. And not even the introduction of a Financial Fair Play rules is able to control the market. The market is where it is and it’s up to the clubs to decide yes or no. For ourselves there are certain rules.' ‘It’s a good market. That is why smaller other clubs if they have interesting young English players they use that in the right way for them. I don’t even criticize them. They play the market for themselves. And if the big clubs don’t want to go over certain limits, they have to make a decision. And that is maybe why the top clubs are not full of young English players. But that is the market.’ does not seem like he wants to shell out a record transfer fee (and may i add, rightly so). hopefully now we can turn our attention to some players who can actually improve us this season like witsel.
-
no. people are still moaning because our loan system is BOGUS. nothing goes on merit.it just a business scheme for profit and a way around FFP. anyone thinking that bamford would get a chance next season on his performances at palace is as deluded and misguided as i have been for the past 4-5 years since we started this.
-
hope he scores 17 goals this season, gets palace to the 6th spot so that he can get a chance here next season.. oh wait!!!
-
good bye. and best of luck. thought he was quite good for nigeria. have not seen him play for middlesborough at all. shame that another one bites the dust.
-
can anyone give a nice summary of his playing style. strengths, weaknesses, play style, etc etc..
-
?? i thought savic was a 12mil euros deal. no suarez involved.
-
he has repeatedly said that koke will play as a CM. on paper they have a much more exciting team than 13/14. but what that 13/14 had was spirit, character and fight. they have literally revamped their attack with carrasco, vietto, martinez, even antoine and jimenez have been there for 1 season and correa has not played yet cos of his surgery. all in all, the jury will be out there on them. i think they take some time for gelling.
