how are people equating moses and pedro? if we dont buy pedro, it will be because of cuadrado (who seems to have jose's vote of confidence). moses will be our 5th choice AM. mainly for cup games, CL dead rubbers and an odd PL game here and there. that is not why we would be getting pedro for. as a squad player, moses would be a very decent player to have.

homegrown. does not have a problem being a squad player so hopefully he does not do a salah/schurlle/mata/kdb of him leaving us. and he has already proven to be a good squad player for us. i would not mind him.

why do people keep saying the phrase "CB partnership for 10 years". when has jose played with 2 21 year old CBs as his CB pairing. carvalho in his first stint, lucio in his inter time, pepe/carvalho in RM, JT now. jose always prefers an experienced CB, a CB who can manage the defence. which one of zouma-stones would be doing that? which one of them will be holding the defence together.

it was, no doubt about it. i was just giving a for instance to jason. but you have to take into consideration that malouda, lamps, AC, JT were all on the wrong side of 30. hazard, wilian, costa, cesc, matic are all on the right side. infact except for JT and iva, there is no other 30+ player. and those 2 are warriors. the point simply was that with a supposedly "uncreative" mid, lamps injured, essien suspended/injured, we almost pulled it off. remember when we had to play 4 full backs as defenders and zhirkov in the middle of the pitch and got blasted 3-0 by sunderland. right now, with matic and cesc as the first teamers, rambo and mikel can provide more than adequate cover for us. i honestly have not seen enough of aranguiz so cant make a judgement. but witsel for 35mil for sitting most of the season on the bench would be poor when what we need first and foremost is a pedro/gotze type AM signing. i am not even sure that we do need a CM signing unless we are trying to buy a bastian/vidal which would improve our first team. but i think both those ships have sailed.

LOL. how exactly does buying stones make us any better currently? people saying, we ll be set for 10 years, we already are for the next 5 with the likes of zouma and cahill and JT and iva. stones would not make us any better currently. i hope we concentrate our energies on getting players that would actually improve the current squad.
