i think falcao was pretty good. his movement is simply brilliant. his link up play was awesome. his finishing let him down. that baba cut back should have been a goal. but i think he would be a much better option than remy.
-
why? why cant u simply drop iva? every time a winger walks by iva, my love for jose dies a bit. ps - zouma and now RLC and kenedy and baba. youth wise, we are on the right path. on the other hand, it just confirms, that if u r sent on loan, u r dead to jose.
-
hopefully, we have a change in tactics. and this makes sense. bego azpi-GC-zouma-baba cesc-matic pedro-oscar-hazard costa matic would be able to cover for baba much better than cesc will/has been able to cover for iva. with pedro, our RB will anyways get as much cover as hazard would give to our LB. in attack baba is brilliant and would give hazard that extra second of space and time by continously overlapping or passing the ball quickly cos he wont be busy switching the ball from his left foot to right or opening up his body to make a simple pass (both of which happens a lot with azpi playing on the left). defensively, he has seemed shaky but better than iva (i know thats not saying much) but still its an upgrade. think, we really need to see more of him.
-
i think thats tomorrow.
-
i think it has more to do with our tactics than his ability. he is an engine, a proper box to box. put him in a 4-3-3 and he is brilliant. make him play as a DM/DLP in a 2 man mid, he looks bang average.

i have loved his performances this season. and like i said in the match thread, "and people were trying to convince me that the 2/3 performances he gave us after we won the PL were "good enough" should watch him run the show." compared to what he did against maccabi and walsall, those end of the season performances were nothing. and i simply called it as it was. a poor performance against wba was called as exactly that, instead of sugar coating everything.

WTF!!! why cant we get easy home ties like united/pool?

wow. what the fucking fuck did i just see. dont get me wrong, i expected a win, but not a walk in the park. i sure as hell did not expect mikel and rambo to be playing one touch football. i mean what the hell happened today. our pressing was brilliant. 4-3-3 suits us and 4-3-3 it was. did not give walsall a moment's rest on the ball. absolutely bossed the midfield. looked a little vulnerable down the flanks, but overall, brilliant performance. begovic - another game where he had nothing to do. ivanovic - if jose asks, i can eat my own heart for him. but i will never ever understand how the fuck is iva still starting. i mean how many horrendous displays does a player have to make to be called out. how worse can aina really be? or even papy playing as a RB. GC - looked sloopy in the 2nd half. twice lost the ball while trying to shield it. would simply put it down to complacency. nothing more. JT - looked solid. made a sloppy pass in the first half but generally, dealt with cook (if that was his name), very well. baba - an average performance. a couple of losses of possession, got nutmegged once. but since, his competition is iva, i would say, he was MAJESTIC. we honestly need some tactical changes. baba was brilliant going forward. that cut back to falcao, his overlapping, andwhenlink up play are brilliant. defensively needs a lot of work but would be an upgrade on iva. mikel - damn... where the fuck did this performance come from. was he high or something? one touch passes, closing down opponents, interception after interception. brilliant performnace. hope he keeps doing this whenever called upon. rambo - brilliant performance from rambo. he always is brilliant when playing in the box2box role in a 3 man mid. RLC - MOTM for me (barely). but what a performance. absolutely glorious. damn this kid can play. and people were trying to convince me that the 2/3 performances he gave us after we won the PL were "good enough" should watch him run the show. that pass. absolutely awesome. his energy was brilliant too. hope he keeps this up. i want to see him against a good opposition. that would be a truer test. but nonetheless, 2 starts, 2 MOTMs. kenedy - this kid can play. well, when we "signed" him (though it was official 2 months later), i said "6 mil wasted". but he is pretty good. he has a brilliant shot on him, and seems to have that faith in his ability and in himself.i can see why jose would be impressed with him. his attitude seems very good. remy - a decent performance. thought he was very selfish at times. should/could have passed to falcao multiple times but chose not to. got a goal, but dont think he deserves a start in the next match. falcao - where do i begin? he ran, he closed down opponents, he won long balls, he linked up brilliantly (watch pedro's goal for an instance), he did everything brilliantly except for scoring. should have had a or 2 or even 3. by the end of the match, he was simply trying tooooo hard and simply getting "quicksanded". his link up play was just a joy to watch after all of costa's poor plays. he holds the ball well, ran the channels, really well. so surprised that he did not get on the score sheet. i know a lot of people will say, "thats exactly what people said of torres". i would say "hogwash" to those people. his general play was a joy to watch. wont be at all surprised to see him start the next match. subs pedro - why? should have brought on traore. matic - why? should have brought on papy papy - honestly, i didnot see him in the 2 minute cameo. brilliant result, brilliant "joy to watch" display. hope this continues. bring on the barcodes.
-
baba/rlc/kenedy. mikel, ramires, JT, falcao, remy are our "squad players" currently. only first teamers are cahill and iva.
-
why are remy and falcao both on the pitch?
-
or u can watch bilbao vs RM, which should be an awesome game.
-
I think he has a buyout of 40nil pounds
-
why the selective stats? take the whole season. costa 19 goals, 37 games, 2915 minutes - 0.51 goals per game/153 minutes per goal aguero 25 goals, 42 games, 3186 minutes - 0.6 goals per game/127 minutes per goal (not including penalty stats)
-
:yay: :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :getin:
-
"win", thats all we should be looking at.
-
i hope jose does not put a "strong team" on the pitch. and that the "strong" team does not include our normal playing 11. i would go with a mixture of youth and experience. bego azpi papy JT baba rlc ramires kenedy oscar traore falcao or if we want to "save" oscar considering we have a match every 3 days now. then ramires-mikel with RLC as no.10
-
40mil for koke is value for money.
-
he is a brilliant player. and we will regret this.
-
she can go and fuck herself.
-
how is costa taking a swipe at kos any different or worse than JT kicking alexis on his ass in a semi against barca in the CL? or DD, slapping vidic in the CL final? i just hope he had boxed the lights out of kos's eyes. when he comes back from his ban, he needs to tone it down a little. be a cunt, but just dont give the refs and media and FA, anymore reasons to ban him. and also, he needs to concentrate more on his game than winding up defenders. no more "fakes" and "dribbles". go back to the start of the last season, where he took shots when he reached the box. no more jogging on the wings. stay in the center and run the channels.
-
silva without a doubt is city's most important player (not aguero or yaya). but to use the whu game for that is very unfair. city did not deserve to lose it.
-
hhhahhaha.. bloody LOL.

money was not an issue then. money seems to be an issue now. hence i said, what i said.
