i think even mou has given up on torres already. the fact that we are in for buying rooney inspite of having 3 strikers, one of which is torres, tells u exactly what mou thinks of the guy.

a year on the bench awaits him. after 2 games, mou will come to know how utter shit this guy is and then all he will get is sub appearances in 2-0 leads and probably carling cup starts. his position in the NT will come under threat just like villa's did this summer. so for his own sake, i hope he takes whatever offer's given to him.

the goal itself was not the problem, the way in which the striker went past him is the cos of concern. also i think both the goals we conceded were his mistakes. the first goal (the one from the set-piece in the 2nd match) would have been cleared by any of cahill, JT, DL or iva. a couple of poor back-passes in the first match to cech. couple of horrible passes in the last match, the way he lost a long ball to an indonesian striker when he jumped to early was bad too. so as i see it, so many mistakes when we were not even tested is a sign to worry.

as much as i would love for this to happen, i think mou is more concerned about giving time to people he knows are gonna be in the squad, for eg- mvg, rambo, essien. also inter milan would be a good test to see how our current midfield fairs against good opposition.

they made a substitution every 3-4 minutes and completely broke any momentum and tempo of the game.

i really feel it would have been very pre-mature of us to talk him up on the first 2 matches because 1.he hardly had anything to do, 2.he made mistakes. but all that was forgiven as you could put it down to inexperience and as u said over-zealousness. but the way in which the attacker ran past kalas was not a good sight and that is what really bothers me. anyways solid performance overall. especially considering the fact that we dont have a half dozen players who were first-teamers last season. squad looks amazing.

kalas has probably been the only one who has not performed well in the tour. with JT being so injury prone, and cahill and luiz being so inconsistent, this guy just does not seem to be a good 4th choice. iva will again have to do double time.

i hate the idea of watching mata on the wings. it probably takes out the most potent weapon we have and also defensively mata barlely provides cover so the rb will have his work cut out. anyways blind faith in mou is the best option for me. believe in him because he ll know what to do.

i ll give him some time. last season could not have been easy, it never is when u have to change teams in winter. also as much as i would like for the rooney move to happen, i honestly dont give it a chance. so i ll just give ba the benefit of doubt.
