The "constructive criticism" thread
didierforever replied to BlueLion.'s topic in Announcements & Support
if u ask me, this thread is the best example of what is wrong with the forum. people just want to wind up other members and then very ironically behave as if they are the saints around here. another problem is the attitude of some members like henriqu (or whatever), termx etc. who suppose they are above the law or something and simply worth more than the others. that attitude of some posters is what starts the name-calling (read this thread to understand what i am saying). for me, their is no simple solution. the mods cant police everything, everywhere. i am sure they have lives too (or i hope so, ). its upto a certain set of posters to tone down a bit. -
very good point. and that is one of the reasons i dont understand why people are not giving them enough creditibility for top4. they have as good a first team as tottenham and if they can play well in the big matches and get a couple of points off arsenal and spurs in their 2 fixtures, i dont see why they cant get into top4. the only problem i see with them is injuries. they have no back-up. aspas, sterling simply dont cut it for me, henderson can be very useless on the wings, joe allen is a good squad player.

we can only hope. but this is kinda scary -----------sturridge-------- --moses--countinho--suarez--
-
yup, played like he wanted to prove a point. hope he continues in the same vein. i just dont know what would happen to him when cunt-suarez comes back. just hope that henderson gets the boot and sturridge is shifted to the right wing rather than moses getting the boot.

MATA is not necessary!!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: u know what, i would rather have our last 30 minutes of the everton game, with and without mata, be the judge of that.

seriously? 40mil (i dont see porto selling him for anything less than that). and it will be the same problems again. buying strikers in the winter should be dubbed as a CARDINAL SIN (torres, ba) unless there is simply no other option or the team has a massive injury crisis. i can only hope that the board has learned somthing for our past dealings and wont repeat the same mistake. ps - JM would not be worth half the money we would have to spend on him. my opinion on the matter - take your chances with what we have already done for the season. hope for etoo, ba/ torres to help our attacking mids get us thru. next season sell ba and torres, dont give etoo an extension (i dont know if he is on 1 or 2 year contract) , recall romelu and actually use him for once and buy rooney (with just one year left in his contract).

last minute goal from williams... please god please, i m getting thulped in FPL..
-
even in those "abysmal" performances, he somehow managed to score 10 goals in 20 starts. fine by me.

uhm uhm... say what???

CHELSEA FOOTBALL CLUB - the pride of merseyside. giving liverpool awesome talents, while buying their deadwood at ten times the price.
-
kk. mis-intepreted.

he should have passed the ball then to players in better position, than losing the ball 10-15 times to coleman/naismith.

http://forum.talkchelsea.net/topic/16791-analyzing-evertons-goal-how-it-went-completely-berserk/ - a brilliant analysis of the everton goal. clears things up very well.

alen hansen ; "out of the 4 chelsea strikers, lukaku is the best and for some reason, chelsea let him go on loan". says it all does not it?
-
i dint know azpi played CB.

i dont think barry's tackle was irrelevant, it saved the match for everton. but i also dont have any doubts of what the result would have been if WC strikers like cavani, falcao, rvp, aguero, ibra, rooney were in place of etoo. u can have your opinion, let me have mine. as i said before, i am not going to get burned a third time. not going to expect anything from etoo and whatever he does would simply be add-ons.
-
torres was one of the most lethal finishers before he joined us. ba was the top scorer in PL even when he joined us. so etoo is nothing new. i am not going to get burned a 3rd time. so the open goal was not etoo's mistake. LOL. seriously?? tell me WC one striker (as u so clearly wanted me to compare falcao/cavani) who would have missed that on his debut.
-
they started taking their chances. does not seem like we are going to do that anytime soon.
-
precisely. when you miss/fluff your chances, u tread a dangerous line. hence my argument that "everything will be fine" simply wont work for us if things continue this way.
-
i am using torres and ba as arguments because there is a trend here. you take time to understand the philosophy of a team. if etoo's link up play was poor, i could have understood that and given him time to adjust to a new team and teammates. but his link up play was good and his finishing was poor. hence the trend. u dont need time to settle to tap in from 5 yards into an open goal. it could be 1 game, 2 games or his 100th game but that should have been a goal. and cavani/falcao would not have made that mistake, they would not have been so casual. their is your difference.
-
no one is kidding themselves here. our performance that night was shambolic but so was munich's. my point is/was that FINISHING is as much a part of the game as passing, tackling, positioning. why do we exclude finishing from our minds when we our talking about the overall game. u say we wont keep losing forever if we keep playing but what happened today is not the first time this has happened to us in the last 1 year. liverpool at home should have been 3/4-0 but ended 1-1, wba should have been won 4/3-2 was lost 1-2, swansea should have been in the bag much more the 80th minute equalizer ended 1-1. and this is just out of the top of my head. the no. of points we lost last season due to poor finishing was immense and this season it has already cost us 3 points. so at the moment, i dont think everything like get fine if we keep playing the way we are. the problems that we had last season are still here, poor finishing, weak pivot. the only thing that was good in our first 4 matches was the defensive discipline but yesterday we even lacked that. so forgive if i am not as optimistic as u in saying everything will get fine if we keep playing this way, because it simply does not look like that to me.
-
same thing with torres, same thing with ba. "we need to relax". "it was just one game". "its been just 2 months". "they have been here for only 6 months and have not had much time to gel with the team" , "he got into great positions", "he ll start banging them for fun, just wait and watch"... and so on and so forth. as for the link up play argument - just does not sit well with me. its not the first time we have played well but lost. we create chances but have NO ONE to finish those chances.
-
strikers are supposed to score, none of ours can. not even 5 yards out and into an open goal. link up play and all the wonderful football jazz is secondary.
