i am sure mourinho and the board would not just drop cech to the bench or sell him after such world class performances match after match. the decision will be upto thibaut to be no.2 for a season for one of the biggest clubs in europe so as to get some playing experience in PL, getting settled, get acclimatized and from then on be the no.1 GK of chelsea for a very very long time.
-
no one is disagreeing with that. as i said, he ll have to be the no.2 keeper at chelsea for one year (2014-15). cech has a contract till 2016. in that summer, with a year left on his contract, he can be sold (hurts just to say that), or whatever decision has to be taken can be taken. spot on. i feel both of them will be here next season and then adios cech.
-
cech is the best GK in the world as of this moment. we cant just chuck him out to fenebrache, galatasaray or Trabzonspor. as choulo said, thibaut will have to be the one who ll have to sacrifice first team football for a year, play fa, carling , ucl group stage games and then steadily be made the first GK.

first things first - the quality has gone down? - BULLSHIT. if anything the quality is better than before and i have been here for almost 2.5 years now. yes, the quantity has increased, and the number of people has exponentially increased, and when that happens, things do get a little weird. everyone has different opinions, likes different things and dislike others. questions will be raised about an opinion and things do get heated up. but just because people debate, fight, and argue over different matters, u cant say the quality has gone down. i mean look at the information we get about everything related to chelsea now-a-days. 99.99% of the information i get about chelsea is through the forum, be it player updates, injuries, youth , transfer etc etc. as for the ongoing debate - i like what stingray posts, memes and gifs included. there is some absolute quality in those posts plus the humor quotient is awesome. the original point that kojo made was really good. some posters do get neglected. for eg- ja1. i mean his information on our youth, loanees, reserves is so extensive that sometimes i feel he is viveash himself. and hence the poll. but right now this thread has become about one argument/ego clash than anything else.

etoo, hazard and oscar out??? what are the durations of their injuries???
-
we just played 2 matches against the champions of europe and the champions of england, with solely the tactic of letting our wingers run at the defenders and try and cut them apart.
-
did he get anytime with the belgium team?
-
etoo injured??? read he came off for cameroon due to injury... any news?
-
i could sense his awesomeness.

what are you saying? look at united. they have strikers - rooney, rvp, welbeck, chicharito. wingers/ams- giggs, nani, young, valencia, kagawa, zaha that IS 10 PLAYERS FOR 4 ATTACKING POSITIONS. city have strikers - dzeko, aguero, negredo, jovetic wingers/ams- silva, nasri, navas, milner. that is 8 players for 4 positions. its no suprise that the most successful teams in europe have the BIGGEST OF SQUADS. look at real, bayern, united, city, barca... players are needed. the stats u showed were only for PL, squad strength is not just for PL but mostly for domestic cup games and that is what is important. in the madrid stat that i showed u, exactly how many appearances each of the madrid player had made. it gave a clear indication of the immense use of squad players. plus we have 6 attacking mid for 3 positions. jose has already shown that he simply wont be putting the same team over and over again. he will be changing our tactics per opposition and he will be playing players as per requirement. in short i simply dont get your argument. every "big" team be it united, real, city, bayern etc have a big squad with equal or in some cases (like united) more players than us. over a course of a season which is 60 matches (not 38 matches) every player will get ample amount of time to play.
-
i think we are trying to make him eligible as a club trained player due to UCL regulations. same with ake. i think thats good.
-
last season madrid had strikers - benzema (50), higuain (44), morata (15) attacking mids - CR (55), ozil (52), callejon (41),di maria (52), kaka (26). so that is 8 players for 4 positions. we have 9 for the same 4 position. not much of a difference. in mid we have 4 players (lamps, mvg, mikel, rambo) compared to madrid's 5 (modric, alonso, khedira, casemiro and illaramendi) right now. essien is nothing but a stop gap who will be used in dead rubbers or injuries in the deep mid, center back and full back positions and that is proven by his absence from our CL squad this year.
-
i dont understand what the problem is here. for once we have a big squad with atleast 2 players for each role and we NEED it. look at the number of matches we are going to be playing. we are not just going to be playing in 4 competitions but also will be trying to win each and every of those competitions. for that to happen you need fit players, healthy players. i mean look at bayern munich. they have a squad exactly as big as ours. last year they had - strikers - gomez, mandzukic and pizzaro (ba,etoo and torres) attacking midfielders - ribery, robben, shaqiri, muller, kroos (mazacar, kdb, willian, schurlle) defensive midfielders - bastian, javi, luiz, tymoshchuk (lamps, essien, rambo, mvg, mikel) defenders - lahm, dante, holger, rafinha, contento, jerome, alaba, buyten (jt, cahill, luiz, kalas, azpi, iva, cole, bert) so its 2 midfielders more than bayern munich. now lets compare the ideal no. of games both team would be expecting to play LEAGUE - 34 (38) DOMESTIC - 6 (6 + 6 = 12) (this is considering that there will be no fa cup replays) EUROPEAN - 13 (13) TOTAL - 53 (63) so we will be playing about 10 extra games (ATLEAST) than what munich does and you have to take into account the number of injuries simply shoots due to continous football. also exhaustion plays a big part , for eg - the bundesliga is shut down for almost a month, and at the same time the PL teams are playing 3 games in a week due to fa cup. we need 22 outfield players to not just play but play to WIN. and at this moment that is what we have.

how can u not love this guy... amazing person, wonderful player... the whole package.

i m confused too. here is bertrand's chelsea career. bought at 16 (2005) 2006-07 - bournemouth 2007 - oldham athletic (6 months) 2008 - norwich city extended to summer of 2009. 2009-10 - reading 2010 - nottingham forest. by this time he was 21. but i am sure he is counted as club trained rather than association trained player.
-
ya, thats what i thought too but it does not seem to fit so for bertrand. he was always on loan from 17 to 21, but still makes the cut as club trained. or does it simply mean that the player should be in the clubs' books.
-
i dont think so. the uefa rules have always been a little tougher than PL rules. 8 HG players out of which 4 should be club trained while 4 can be association trained (i was wrong about JT being our only club trained player, bertrand also comes under the same category). i think it was implemented in 08/09.
