Who would you sign to lead the line at Chelsea?

Not even a contest. Cavani all the way. -
I dint watch Atm last season but I have watched them this season a lot. And enough to know that he is not world class. He might be better than any we have got but when comparing to city they would still have atleast 3 strikers better than our best.Again when compared to cavani, and the fact that we won't be buying any1 else and that we don't need any1 else, cavani seems a better pption. Much better.
-
why not? he is playing out of position, he was "reportedly" unhappy, and with the 75% tax thing probably going to be applied in france, i seriously dont see why not? plus i would rather give 60mil for cavani than 32 mil for costa. plus we only need to buy a WC striker, so dont see the problem in going big if we have to. ps - the only way i would like a costa deal is if FT is somehow involved in a swap. 15-20 mil + FT = costa, then i have no problem.
-
whu "parked the bus". chelsea under mourinho has not parked the bus. we play counter attacking football. against united we had equal number of shots on target, against arsenal we had double the shots on target and double the total shots taken. tells u a lot about the "tactics" and "stratergies" used. also mou is not critisizing city over their spending but their failure to comply with FFP. they made a 50mil loss last season and about 95mil loss in the season before. to comply with FFP rules, u need to have losses no more than 38mil, is it even possible that city can do it? NO!!! they are making mockery out of it and jose is questioning them on it!!! absolutely nothing wrong.

for such a big match, the form book is thrown out of the window. rambo over the years has risen up and performed exceptionally well in big matches. his chelsea career kick started against arsenal when he dispossessed (i dont remember who) which led to DD scoring. his performances against barca, goals scored against united, performances against city. i have absolutely no doubt the rambo should and will start, be it in a 2 man or 3 man mid.
-
he has had one good season. last season he scored 20 goals in 44 matches in a league where somehow soldado had scored 30 goals. lukaku with WBA had 18 goals in 38 matches minutes in PL. that barely counts as good when u look at la liga. costa , if bought, will be our no.1 striker. his overall play, contribution to the game, goal scoring prowess does not even compare upto someone like cavani. we have 2 great GKs, a good defence, an almost complete midfield and the only thing we lack is a WC striker. cavani is the answer to it, not costa.
-
Totallt agree. One good season and sonehow he is goung to be our saviour.
-
OK. but since we played 4-2-3-1 against city last time around with a pivot of rambo-lamps and with rambo being a MOTM on the day for doing a perfect number on yaya, i really doubt if what u said is correct.
-
Luiz- matic midfield I hear. In that case just srll rambo, lamps and mikel off. Also since when did ramvo stop being a nailed on starter for us. Was not he the player who literally owned yaya at the bridge???

Will any youngsters make it at Chelsea anymore?

Have u seen our squad? Kdb and mata dint get oppurtunities to play and hence left/were sold. Essien left cos of lack of games. We had 3 strikers, 6 Ams, 5 dms, 8 defenders which is 22 players for 10 outfield positions. And u somehow want mou to play youth? Where, when how? Compare this to last season where we had 2 strikers, 5 ams and 4 dms. Which includes marin and romeu, hanve the oppurtunutiea to yiuth -
in - cavani, shaw out - torres, BA,etoo, moses, marin, kakuta, cole, cech/courtois, mikel squad - GK - cech/courtois, blackman DEF - azpi, iva, JT,DL,GC,zouma, shaw, bertand DM - rambo, matic, lamps, romeu, mvg AM - oscar, willian, hazard, schurrle, salah, traore ST- cavani, lukaku simply cant take a decision on cech/courtois. head says one, heart says another. jose will have my full support for this decision cos this one is a big one.
-
cant see him going for more than 10mil. but we should keep him. a good squad player.

u kinda step on your own point there when u say "how promoting youth sacrifices trophies" and then go on to say something about arse-anal. they are the perfect example of youth overkill. i would take buying players rather than having players like andre santos playing for chelsea. barca and bayern are lucky to get a "group" of great players together. if we had players like iniesta, xavi, messi, schweini, lahm, muller, kroos, i am pretty sure our club would use them. unfortunately, carlton cole, mancienne, jack cork hardly make that grade. -

RDM was literally playing MAZACAR in every match with no rotation whatsoever. with marin injured, he dint have an option but to start piazon in the match to give atleast one of them a rest. same goes for rafa, with romeu and mikel injured towards the end of the season, our only 2 options for the pivot were rambo and lamps, add to that, that DL was playing literally every match either as a DM or a CB and u had another no brainer in starting ake to give them a rest. varane, morata are just a couple of examples of promoting youth. and jose so far has not stayed long enough in clubs to actually make a significant change. here its going to be a massively different story. jose is not just going to play them one or 2 matches, he has to shape their careers. which i feel is what will exactly happen. -
totally agree.
-
well, you used an example to do what? prove a point, right? but using spain's midfield as an example here could not be more inappropriate. the approach to the game that these 2 teams have could not be more different. also spain's team in WC did lack mobility. and that was one of the reasons that they scored 8 goals (i think) in the whole of WC. and like i said before their success had a lot to do with a solid defence which england dont have. add to that the fact that the english mid wont have 10% of the understanding and the overall passing ability that the spanish team have (dont forget that spain literally play 4-6-0 sometimes and each and every1 of those midfield players is a great passer of the ball), i just doubt if the example is a valid one here. anyways, getting too off-topic and off the original point. i just simply cant see the benefit of playing carrick in THAT role (DM i can totally understand) instead of lamps. specially since a 35 year old lamps still has the legs on a 31 year old carrick, has as good a passing ability and definitely is a far greater goal threat (which would be very useful since i cant see where england's goals would come from). so lets just agree to disagree about it.
-
Seriously? Comparing the english mid to spain's. Well the difference would be that barry is not half the player xabi/busquets is. Lalana is compared to iniesta here, walcott is compared to silva/fab. And the worst thing is that while the spanish play tiki-taka to perfection I don't expect england to win the posession stat against any team even in the group stages. Also do not forget that spain had a brilliant defense to accompany their mid, that's hardly what u can say about england's defence. Carrick and gerrard might be great passers of the ball but I think so is frank plus he is a thousand times greater threat to the opposition goal than carrick is plus would definitely give the team a lot more than carrick playing in that mid field 3. I think even walcott would be a better option thab him.
-
Smalling might have played a lot with jones, but that hardly makes up for his shitiness. You have lined up in a 4-3-3 which has barry in it who can play nothing else than a DM, so by default gerrard and the other midfielder get more mobile. Otherwise it would be the same story for these guys as was against germany, sitting too deep and simply no transitiom from defence to attack.
-
smalling ahead of cahill and carrick ahead of lamps in the box to box role would be my only doubts cos smalling sucks and carrick is far too immobile for that role.

the first and the most important thing for youth to develop in any team is the manager. lets take mceachran as an example. the 17 year old boy was shown incredible faith in, by carlo ancelotti. if carlo had continued i am sure he would have integrated mceachran in the team, moulded him, worked on his defects and made him into a far better player than he is right now. but due to absolutely no consistency in the managers, in fact due to the managerial chairs that has been going on at the club, its not suprising that no player has come thru the ranks. why would an interim manager like hiddink/rafa even care about our youth? managers like avram, rdm and avb had enough pressure to deal with anyways than risk losing a couple of matches here and there cos of trying to promote the youth. but now i feel things are going to be a lot different. jose is here to say. u can take a look at the way we have dealt in the transfer window, u can take a look at the profile of our players and simply say we are JOSE's team. in a couple of years, i am pretty sure some of the youth will be given a chance. i have no doubt about JOSE's eye for talent and i have no doubt that any1 deserving would make the team in the coming years. my prediction. bamford as squad - ST traore, piazon as AMs chalobah as DM ake as DEF. from the current group of loaned out ACADEMY players (players like courtois, lukaku, romeu are not counted). -
yup, thats arsenal for you. hehehehe...
-
united, tottenham both fuck up. hopefully palace can somehow take some points off arsenal. injuries, fixture list, pressure, it has got to get to arsenal at some point. my opinion is that its this week.
-
what a brilliant game from him!!!
