we do have enough HG players. plus lamps WILL be our 5th CM without a doubt (otherwise we have bigger problems). that slot can go to chalobah/baker and we can still keep the HG quote.

why are we so concerned about HG player quotas considering we buy a new LB (rodrizuez), new CM (rakitic) and a striker (costa), this will be our squad PL squad GK - cech, thibaut, blackman (HG) defenders - JT (HG), GC (HG), azpi, iva, rodriguez, zouma (HG), kalas (HG). cole/pva/bertrand (HG) CMs - matic, rambo, mvg, rakitic, chalobah/lamps (HG) AMs - hazard, oscar, willian, salah, schurrle, traore/piazon/moses (HG) strikers - costa, mr. X (torres/mandzukic), lukaku (HG) so atleast for the PL squad we have enough players to get by. infact we can buy a new CB and loan out kalas probably. CL squad GK - cech, thibaut defenders - JT (HG-1), GC (HG-2), azpi, iva, rodriguez, kalas (HG-2), cole/pvs/bertrand (HG-2) CMs- matic, rambo, mvg, rakitic, chalobah/lamps (under21/HG-2) AMs - hazard, oscar, schurrle, willian, salah, piazon/traore/moses (HG-2,under21,HG-2) strikers - costa, mr.x (torres/mandzukic), lukaku (HG-2?) in this we have some problems. we can name 23 players (blackman and zouma are under-21 so they dont need to be listed) out of which we have ENOUGH association trained player (HG-2) but just one club trained player (HG-1). last year essien was sacrificed. similarly if we "sacrifice" the 6th AM spot, coupled with JT, and 2 other players to be named (under-21), we can fulfil that quota too. hence, i simply dont see what the hoopla here is?

the weird part is that people can see THAT about barca but not about their OWN club. no GOOD (not even average, i think) strikers, no good CMs, a total lack of any identity or style of play. selling the club's POTY twice in a row, getting new talents like schurrle and willian and helping them acclimitize and fighting against a vastly superior squad in man city. yet, we were in the CL semis and in the title race till the 2nd last day (while being the favourites till the 34th game, the title actually slipped after the sunderland game which was 35th, i think). and yet, people say this was a failure.

loaning him IS the best possible option. specially with a success at a mid-table team like wba, then a europa team like everton and now maybe,,, ATM/bvb. selling lukaku gives us no profit. just like selling sturridge dint give us any "profit". the loss in the number of goals, plus buying another striker in a couple of years after mandzukic gets 30 years old simply negates any 2mil profit we would get out of lukaku by selling him for 20mi.

its actually very simple. when people think we are about to buy some1, they expect the guy to score in every match. if that does not happen, the forum crashes. last season when we were in for cavani, i remember him playing a confed match in which he dint score. people lost their minds saying how can we buy another torres for 50mil.

If we sign both these guys, we ll see how many minutes each of them will get. Will it be costa having 3 times the minutes of mario (as u predict a 45-15 distribution) or a more sane and level headed 55%-45% distribution. and real at the other part. do u even read my posts. BA might have made 29 appearance but he got a total of 884 minutes. thats why i dint say appearances but MINUTES. again please read before replying. lukaku may have been getting minutes and maybe when we bought etoo he thought that even those minutes would go out of the window. he was already losing the striker spot in chelsea and just dint want to lose the striker spot for belgium too to benteke. he is a 20 year old. maybe he panicked. maybe he made a mistake. but so what? one mistake does not mean me sell him specially when he can be a major asset to us. simply dont see why we should be selling the best U-21 striker in the world right now.

moses had a good season for us. in one season we had already brought hazard and oscar, and we simply dint have enough budget left to throw another 20mil on an AM. moses was bought to be a squad player who maybe could get better. and he fulfilled his job. sturridge was a mistake, i accepted that. costa is not prone to injuries. its obvious he was used too early be simeone. he simply was not fit enough from his previous injury but condiering the stakes, it was a fair risk. pep dint use mandzukic against united in the first leg. reason - he is an idiot. cos as soon as mario was bought in, he played a header in the path of bastian, who scored. i am agreeing with u that lukaku should be kept. i dont want mandzukic if we are getting costa.

marin , moses??? marin was 23 when he was bought. moses 22. torres was a transfer screw up. are we going to judge everything on torres? our board has done EXCEPTIONALLY well in the last 3 years (dont forget mata). the only mistake i can say is sturridge. 25/26 year old is the perfect age. costa is no where near his peak. 27/28 is normally considered to be the age that a player peaks. costa has had just a couple of good years and he has a looooooong way to go in his career. lukaku will be sold if we buy mandzukic, not costa. now THAT would be a poor transfer. but to say this about costa is just wrong.

again? weird dude. no rumors. nothing. yet a striker should supposedly get his head examined. we have costa and we have mandzukic who has been the MAIN striker in BAYERN MUNICH, THE BEST TEAM IN THE WORLD, for 2 years. how will costa be our undisputed no.1. its like going round in circles and then banging your head on the wall. can u give me a list of reasons as to why costa would start 45 matches out of the 60 matches we play next season? jose promised kalas 10 starts at the start of the season, jose promised that luiz and mata were not for sale. jose said that we will have a "quiet" winter transfer window. jose said whu played 19th century football and yet himsel parked the bus. again, this is not FIFA. real life. i am sure jose wont get a message from costa saying "i was promised a larger role than is being given to me". for the last time, these are 2 players with 2 very different strengths and attributes. mandzukic has already thrived in the striker role at a team which has played a system of football very similar to ours. his link up play is brilliant, headers are brilliant costa is a striker which gives us hold up play. continously bringing his team-mated into the game. runs the channels, and is a brilliant dribbler. but u r right in one thing, costa-mandzukic not comparable to torres-etoo. we will probably have 2 WC strikers compared to a past his prime WC striker and an no-good idiot!!!

what bothers me is that their is no concrete interest from us for this guy!!!
