happy bday juan!!!!!!!!
-
it was a press conference. he did not give an interview. he did not personally go and ask a channel to take his views. journalists asked him about his opinion about people calling his team boring and he said the exact thing that i feel he thinks. again, if you would have read his comments, you would have known that he did not try and reinvent anything. just said that sometimes, pragmatism is the best approach and how goals and not possession is the most important thing in football. nothin that a 4 year old watching football would not know, but unfortunately, a lot of "experienced" "fans" have lost sight of that.
-
hmmm.. so the only way to achieve an objective is attacking and glorious football. this is so bloody strange. did not liverpool just need a point against us which we would have been so happy to give them and take one in return. yet, somehow they set out to meet their "objective" in the only way you deem it good enough to be accomplished. and see where it got them. oh well, dont let facts and realism knock you on your ass. lets all just play fifa/FM and set our team as a mindblowing attacking unit. also, i am not sure how much of a club's mentality actually becomes a fan's mentality. but i feel there is some truth to it. in the past 2 weeks i have seen united and arsenal fans so vehemently say that we would rather take playing beautiful football than winning at the cost of defensive football. makes you think about the objectives does not it? i mean people at RM were not happy with jose even after the 2nd year where he won the la liga cos he pplayed counter attacking football. and now we come down to our problem, 2 games against probably the 2 most inform PL teams. a 37 year old striker playing 135 minutes of those 180 minutes. 20 minutes played by a player who definitely looked like he had a concussion and in the remaining 25 minutes, we probably should have had 3 penalties. boring chelsea, indeed.
-
so jose should play according to what viewers want to see,, hmm... next i will hear is, jose sucked all the fun out of PL by finishing the PL so early. look at city and how wonderfully they won their title.. JOGA BONITO!!! we have been utter crap for 4 months. dont mind that we are unbeaten for 4 months in PL!!!! what makes you think that jose gives a crap about what people think about his philosophy? or that he is looking to change people's opinions? i thought his comments were pretty straight forward as to what he thinks is the main priority when he makes his team go out on the field.
-
i thought we were playing football. with the ultimate objective of winning or like against arsenal - not losing. but well!!!
-
some people just are not worth it... since we have all but won the league, and they dont have the ammunition of a "trophyless season" or "2 year trophydraught of jose" or even the ammunition of "just a PL is too little for a club like chelsea", now they have turned into purists. poor beautiful football getting raped by the heinous monster that is jose mourinho.
-
totally agree with TOMO here. does not matter the situation. liverpool fans are scum. losing to them at the bridge would dampen the PL winning atmosphere. should never happen. even the thought make me want to puke.

brilliant player. no doubt. but i have not seen him play on the right wing.
-
he did not own up to his philosophy? i guess you did not read his comments, did you? “People talk about style and flair but what is that?” he said. “Sometimes I ask myself about the future, and maybe the future of football is a beautiful, green grass carpet without goals, where the team with more ball possession wins the game. The way people analyse style and flair is to take the goals off the pitch. It’s the football they play on the moon – where the surface is not good, with some holes but no goals." “Everyone speaks about teams playing fantastically well because they ‘had great ball possession’. It looks like the goals aren’t important. They conclude a team that scores as many as we do is boring but a team with 70% of the ball who don’t score isn’t. Maybe, when my grandsons play, football will be a game without goals and we’ll just enjoy people passing the ball. But when football is played without goals, you will say it’s boring. You will say bring the goals back. For me, it’s still about putting the ball in your opponents’ net, and keeping it out of your own.” “For me, the ‘beautiful game’ is to go to every match knowing exactly the way you have to play and what you have to do,” he said. “At Arsenal we were brilliant. Brilliant. A game where we were brilliant from the first minute. “Us boring? It cannot be true. It’s all about establishing the criteria. Who scored the most beautiful goals in the Premier League? If that is a criteria, Chelsea did it collectively [with André Schürrle’s goal at Burnley in August]. If the concept is the number of goals, City scored more than us. But 18 teams scored fewer than us, so there are 18 teams who are more boring than us. Do you think, in the Premier League, there is one manager who will say that Chelsea don’t deserve to be champions? I think, out of the other 19 managers, the huge percentage will say Chelsea deserve to win the league. “If a good team is the team with most points, we are the best team. If a good team is the team with most victories, we are the best team. If the best team are the side with fewest defeats, we are the best team. If the best team is the one that leads, we are the best team. If the best team is the side with fewest conceded, we are the second best team. In any criteria you can find, we are the best team or the second best team. It’s as simple as that.”

dont think this is so unimaginable. barca have a tranfer ban, RM are reportedly after de gea, bayern have neuer, spurs and arsenal are totally out of question unless they give 20-25 mil. so the team in dire need of a goallie plus the buying power and a team good enough for cech's level would be united.
-
lol... i like your naivety... if it was upto FA, they would ban him for a season

211 goals and the highest scorer for chelsea for god knows how many years to come. 3 league titles. 4 fa cups. 3 carling cups. 1 champions league. 1 europa league. he will always be a legend. super frank!!!!!
-
congratulations
-
courtois iva GC JT azpi matic rambo cuadrado willian hazard cesc.
-
how is this thread so quiet... where are the haters?
-
should be played in the center. never on the wing unless its the last resort. that chance was so tailor made for him.
-
by the way, i totally forgot.. "shove it up your ass jose"

CAPTAIN LEADER LEGEND
-
truly the special one!!!!!!
-
the title is ours!!!!! come on!!!!! mourinho again outclassed wenger. one shot on target, and one good chance towards the complete end of the man. courtoius - brilliant handling of the crosses except on that one occasion. iva - was brilliant defensively. got outnumbered couple of times again but held his ground against sanchez. ust shows that when he is ordered to defend, he is a BRILLIANT defender. GC - another solid performance. but i guess that means jack squat now a days, eh? JT - captain, leader, legend. what a performance. brilliant. azpi - another brilliant defensive display. matic - what a performance. covered so well, not just the back 2 but our fullbacks too. was there wherevr required, be it defensively or while closing down. cesc- poor. he did had a hand in making the 3 penalties, but poor in possession. too much dwelling on the ball by him specially when we had 3 runners in hazard, oscar and willian. rambo - average game.was piss poor in the first half on the wing but absolutely bossed the 2nd. that 1v1 was the moment which could have so simply given us the title. that run towards the end and that tackle right at the edge of the box. shows that he should not be played on the wing. hazard - very average performance. oscar- MOTM for the first half. should have had 2 easy penalties. hope he is fine and can be there on the field when we officially win it. subs - DD - poor all around. even in the air. hope one of remy/costa can get fit. zouma - lost all shape when he came on. playing as a DM in the end minutes does not mean just defending the box. left matic all alone. come on chelsea!!!!!!!!
-
??? i honestly think u got me wrong. i was trying to ridicule the decision of not giving a penalty. was not sure abut a concussion. if its a concussion then he should defo come out. but DD was not the option. would have to change our whole style.
-
yup. he clearly had no right going for the ball. fine for chelsea and 10 points deduction seems fair.
-
he is playing as a DLP today. his one mistake can cost us the game. i dont know how many he has already made. if he was playing as a CAM and had created those 3 penalty oppurtunities, things would be completely different. but currently, we need iva and matic to get more cover.
-
MOTM so far. if DD comes in for him at HT (cos of concussion as people are saying, we wont be the same).
