First good news in a long while.

Ashley Cole will hold contract talks with Chelsea next week after he announced he wishes to end his playing career at Chelsea. [ESPN]

Not having a dig at the kid, but he must realise that in order for him to get his chance to breakthrough and adapt to life at Chelsea he must go through a period of bench warming. Cech didn't walk into this squad when he was first came, he got his break with an injury to Cudicini which Cech gladly took the opportunities given to him.
I like Courtois' passion to play, it's warming to see the kid wants to play for the love of the game and not the money. But patience plays its part. He also can get invaluable advice from Cech, because that man's experience is so key to the development of the young Belgian, it shouldn't be taken for granted. I'm sure if Fergie could've retained the services of Van Der Sar, De Gea would be a much better goal keeper right now.

After pathetic performances, he is still starting games. After scandalous comments on the club, for which any other players at other clubs would have been dropped, he is still starting games. That's because now people like Mata, Hazard and Oscar find space and demand the ball. Mikel has never had passing options like he has now. We used to play like statues, nobody moving and creating passing lanes. Everybody was just standing still and waiting for something to happen. Now we have players roaming, finding space and showing for the ball. Mikel has never been the problem. People used to complain he holds on to the ball too long. What was he supposed to do? Pass to somebody who was standing still and had defenders on him? He was abused for his intelligence and is now being praised with backhanded compliments "oh he's improved, he passes quicker etc" haha makes you wonder what the hell people are watching sometimes.
If somebody finds space and shows for the ball Mikel will find him 10/10. If they stand still and have defenders on them he will keep possession and make simple passes until he has better options. Only Mikel gets abuse for that. In Spain they would treat him like a king.

If RDM is going to keep playing the Ash-Ryan combo i hope he rotates who is the left back.

I didn't call anyone fake fans, just frankly ridiculous. How can you expect a 22 year old striker to play on the wing week in week out and be a world class winger? He done phenomenal in the first half of the season, but has clearly struggled in the last few months. It doesn't give any fan the right to boo a player off who you all were calling our best player just a few months ago.
That's a thing with a lot of these "fans" on this page, they want instant success and are attracted to names rather than performances. Torres gets his dick sucked for hitting the post and having a poor match and poor season, but Sturridge (who also scored last week) gets absolutely slated just for having a bad game, what justice is that?
Don't give me this Malouda, Essien BS cos that's completely different to this Sturridge situation. I wouldn't blame Sturridge if he decided to leave, he doesn't get half the respect or support he deserves and if he did go you would all be criticising eachother for slating him.

Some of the fans disgust me. He's been overall one of our best players of the season. He's been asked to play LW/RW when he's a CF yet give him stick for shooting at half chances - I'm sorry isn't that what you want your strikers to do?
