Great performance, could have gone either way seeing the second half, but again we had chances, more in the first half, and we could have added more to our scoreline. Only negative thing I could tell about Mikel is that he is not much of a goal threat so rarely you see anyone trying to close him down as soon as possible when he goes for a shot, meaning less room for others, but it's part of his game he can improve and has done so plus his main objective is to keep us safe in the back. He is also tall so a potential goal threat for corners if he is in the box. On topic: would love Modric here, would suit us i think.

I think what he is trying to say, like all the 'Rafa fans' is that it's a shared blame. And adding the mistakes up we get a TNT waiting to explode. I know saying YES RAFA OUT is a popular statement, even more after a draw which feels like a loss with all the emotions, but this team isn't only about Rafa and Torres. Senior players need to step up, seeing how spineless the team is without a proper leader- Lampard is a great footballer but he is not a leader, quietly goes along his role. The team is young and the more you need guidance of an older player who has been in Chelsea for so long time. I think the solution is to get rid of the old guard except Cech, lose the player power, but that can only come in the summer. Lampard should put the club first and not try to reach personal glory. Since Torres came on, the formation was completely fucked and noone knew where to be what to do.. Torres did misplace passes and had no impact but all the damage was already done... Rafa was too late with subs.. nevertheless - most TC experts said this was our best line up,, funny enough.. Southampton wanted it more and got it, 2 shots on target 2 goals. Statistics flatter us, no real ideas in the box, you can see this is a team full of young players full of energy and flair but lack the patience and intelligence. I get what you're saying. I respect Rafa for what he has done to Chelsea so far and having RESPECT for someone does not make me or you any less fan like some try to indicate. We are playing more tactical football, our defense is better.. now I hope people won't start to draw comparisons that I like Rafa more than RDM because I dont, but I have respect for him regardless of what other people think who usually just want to 'howl with the wolf pack' to fit in so to say. For obvious reason it's easier to bash Rafa for every bad decision he has done and completely ignore times when he should be praised. So only solution - if this does pass, highly doubt though- is to build a bigger stadium / expand Stamford Bridge but not lower ticket prices just to get in revenue. Playing youngsters has never been an issue for sacking. Must have been the UCL game and results, hence the trophies. Damn shame really. One season without a trophy shouldn't have been a reason to sack him. He was undermined by sacking of Wilkins and death of his father. As soon as we get rid of the player power problem in the squad, we will get a manager for a longer term than we have so far.
