We are in a good position at the moment. Next 3 games will show our character.

Alexis Sanchez 169cm Peter Crouch 200cm Michael Essien 178cm For a person that's a novice in training it may seem that way. 3kgs of muscle on Essien looks more than 3kgs on Crouch visually - does that mean Essien is 100% stronger? No it doesn't. Same goes for Torres Sanchez comparison. On both examples the height difference is almost 12cm or more. Though had you compared Sanchez with Messi or Mata, I'd say he is way stronger than them both. Now... I'm not saying he wont be successful with us or that he is a bad player, but we shouldn't handicap ourselves with only having to send the two center backs in for corners, especially in a league like EPL, where he will be playing against teams/players way more physical than in the Italian, Spanish leagues. Though to be fair, only real muscular powerhouse from the pictures is Essien. Comparison with City is off, because they are arguebly a more physical side.

I'm going to be a bit pressimistic about this, but as much as I'd want this to be true, I don't think this is how the fairy tale ends. Hoping I'm wrong, but will only believe it when it is official.

So much passive aggressiveness in this thread. To be fair, Neymar's progress seems to have stalled in the last year or two, but we will only see him weave his full magic when he atlast joins Barcelona. Wouldn't really want him here.

I don't know about men, but for women a few names I could give you to google is Lenna Kuurmaa, Tanja Mihhailova.

Pedro is a very underrated player in my mind. Would love to see Sanchez prove me wrong in Chelsea colors but first he must regain that special something he had in Udinese days where he was devastating alongside Di Natale, another striker who deserves more credit for what he does. In my mind DI Natale is Udinese's Totti, Del Piero. Consistently bagging goals for his club season in season out.

hehe Fair enough. Got to tell you though that slavic women are gorgeous when they are young(18-30), but usually not so much when they are older. Also their temperament is what makes them very attractive!

He is more suited to a team like Barcelona than us, though, I'm not denying that he is a great player, albeit his recent reputation for diving. Is he strong and stocky for his height? Yes. Though if we keep going down that road too often we will have to send Cech into the box for corners, freekicks or resort to short corners etc which would make our gameplay more predictable and easier to counter.
-
Agree with @Sheva. here. I think the attitude Schurrle would bring to the team would be more suited plus his reputation and discipline. Not to mention some physical presence, we can't start to resemble Barcelona with small players on the field in every position. Years have shown that teams have got a remedy against tikataka Barcelona style football and it's time for change if we want to be successful. Look at the two german sides, perfect balance of strength, agility, experience and youth.

Estonian women, no doubt. City doesn't matter.

Did I miss your posts that are without memes and involve a real input to a topic? Heck yeah. True answer.

So @Stingray is capable of making insightful posts! Completely agree with you here - sooner or later we need to incorporate the hotshots in our squad. Now the difference is if we do it when they have an older colleague to instruct them and guide their development or we wait a few years till the veteran players retire and throw the younger ones out into the dark blue sea and see if they can swim on their own. I think the first option has more potential to get the most out of them. They have proved to be the best of the best in their age group - how the hell are they not suited to our standards?

What a season it has been.. losing so many games due to many different reasons but If I do go down - fair play. Ill bounce back and come back all guns blazing. Perhaps that's what I need the most, a season in a less competitive environment with more focus on actually getting wins to boost developing rating. Like you said, funnily enough gained a position despite losing - counts for something!

I think it was Azpilicueta
-
That was a very good tackle by Azpilicueta. The referee had been superb up until this point. It wasn't a penalty, let alone a soft one. Undeservedly 1-1, though away goal gives us a bit of an edge over them.
-
Lewandowski aside, all the rest Polish players were great but for me Gündogan stood out. He might not have scored a goal or assisted but he was the midfield dynamo initiating the Dortmund onslaught. Great refereeing, can't think any wrong decision on top of my head. Maybe the Reus' offside call, where he chipped the ball over Lopez, but that's more to do with the linesman. Possibly all German final, who could have predicted that? As a Chelsea fan I hope we get as many good players from BVB as possible but as a football fan I hope they show some spine and not be a farmer club. It would make Bundesliga very dull and predictable.

Tell you what, with all the anti racism campaigns going on, had he bitten someone with darker complexion I think he would have had to serve a lengthier ban.
-
After reading the last sentence - all this trouble making up this story and for nothing? Why though? I guess they are focusing on the details.
-
That's a bit too harsh in my opinion ( I don't mean the 10 match ban but forced to sell/release). It's not like he committed an act of cannibalism, this whole story is blown out of proportion. When it comes to your suggested punishment: I dread the day when the FA has a word in saying which players should the club sell or release. Not going to happen, he will miss the rest of the season plus next season's 6 opening games - a worthy punishment. As long as Suarez keeps single handedly dragging Liverpool through game after game, I can't see them giving a single fuck about it, unless a bigger club comes flashing money. Having him is a risk but with a strict, authoritarian manager, he is worth the gamble. Like people above are mentioning - maybe even a 12 match ban plus if they appeal it can go 3 ways - reduce, leave it as it is or increase the length of the ban.
-
This is exactly how I see things
-
What was it? Like 1 maybe 2 shots on target by Barca for the whole game? I only remember the young num 15. shooting blanks but nothing more. Where was Messi?
-
Wunderbar - danke Bayern! Rooting for Real Madrid, but I'm thinking with displays like these the Bavarians will win it this year and deservedly so - they have been so close on numerous occasions in the last year or three. Barcelona is fading slowly but surely, teams have got the remedy against them and the new team to beat is Bayern Münich. Müller MOTM - what a character, what makes him special is his desire to win.

Are we going to finish in the top 4? - Achieved!
SinineUltra replied to Styles's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
One heartbreaking moment and we are already crying about finishing out of TOP4? I hope our players aren't mentally as handicapped as some here, fragile and fickle. I'm confident we will be playing in the Champions League next season but if we aren't then it is something we have to deal with and suck it up, handle it and make corrections. At the start of the season I thought this would be a year for Mata, Hazard, Oscar to gel their teamwork etc, but it has more been about the team having to play without the likes of Drogba, Lampard, Terry, Cole. In that regards we haven't done bad, looking forward to next season -be it in CL or not - I'm more for getting our hands on the Premier League trophy again.
