  1. Why would he go to Valencia of all teams as well? They are in a dire financial situation, hence the sales of Mata, Silva and villa in the last few years, they would not be able to afford his wages and they already have good centre backs. Load of tosh if you ask me.
  2. anyone who doesn't put Cech for MOTM needs their eyes gauging out with a spanner
  3. on a more positive note, Eva is looking lovely in yellow tonight
  4. We have Cech to thank for keeping us in the game and Torres to thank for ensuring that we are not winning.
  5. There are cunts, and then there is Neil Warnock. Fits Leeds perfectly.
  6. Cech Ivanovic Cahill Luiz Cole Ramires Mikel Oscar Mata Hazard Torres If we play in a similar way that we did against them in the FA Cup semi final then I think this team is good enough to win the match. Ramires should play in the double pivot so that he can make runs from deep but his pace will also be important for dealing with Bale. If we hit them on the break then we can expose them on the wings with Hazard, Oscar and Mata because Walker and Assou Ekotto are attacking minded and left a lot of space last season against us.
  7. When will people realize that Rooney is actually a distinctly average footballer?
  8. The funny thing is that that was genuinely more exciting than an England match.
  9. As a season ticket holder in shed upper I think the shed is best. Matthew Harding lower is only louder because it has a bigger capacity. Shed is loudest for noise per person but either are good
  10. one of my mates is happy that England are winning. He said if we didn't he'd wank with sandpaper
  11. Getafe > Real Madrid Vamos Getafe!
  12. World Cup no-hopers doing well so far. San Marino aren't too bad either.
  13. Congratulations England, the supposed 'golden generation' has failed to score against one of the worst football teams in the world, made up completely of part-time football players. Ours are on wages of £80 000+ per week, this lot work in bars and furniture shops.
  14. How many of you were alive the last time you won at Stamford Bridge?
  15. Love some of the blatantly obvious gloryhunters and plastics on this thread who say that only the likes of Cavani and Falcao are Chelsea material. There is something called taking a risk on a player? Its not Football Manager or FIFA where you can just spend £50m on a player when you feel like it. Mata was a good player when we got him. he wasn't one of the world's best quite but he was good. We could have spent £60m on Di Maria instead because he played for Real Madrid and therefore must have been 'Chelsea material'. Just because a player has a massive price tag, does not necessarily mean that they are better.
  16. and look at everybody who agrees with you.
  17. Is there something wrong with what SeB does? Is there something wrong with backing up your arguments with statistics and details, making his points far more valid than just your typical 'Malouda is shite' post? I'm no expert on forums but I know that if I owned one I would love to have someone like SeB, who puts his point across well (with perfect English I must add) and really adds something to discussions. You say that he has been proved wrong loads of times, well of course he has?! I don't know anyone on here that has always been right 100% of the time! Although in general he is right a lot of the time because his statistics and explanation show it. Also, SeB does not pretend to be a scout, he is obviously quite a knowledgeable person if he is paid to train players? I have had my disagreements with him other things in the past but like most people on this forum I know that he is one of the best posters on here and that talkchelsea would not be the same without him.
  18. He was absolutely superb against Stoke at the Britannia. He also scored a 94th minute winner for us in that game. He was our best player against Portsmouth away when we won 0-5 He was also our best player against Aston Villa in the FA Cup semi-final Not to mention the times that he chipped in the odd goal or 2 assists that season. You don't have to be the best player on the team to be considered useful. Paulo Ferreira is a prime example of that. For years he put in a great shift every game. He never made a goal saving tackle or scored a last minute winner but he was always solid and shall therefore be seen as one of our great players in this era.
  19. I wouldn't call a lot of people at the stadium on a regular basis 'real fans'. Some of them have too much money that they don't know what to do with so decide to watch Chelsea yet don't really care. Others have stupid expectations and boo the team off when we don't win a game against Juventus. Others are just pricks who go along and look for a fight with away fans- wouldn't call them real fans either. There are lots of international fans on this forum who are more 'real' fans of the club than a lot of people at the stadium. There are lots of English fans who are 'real fans' who pumped a lot of money into the 'Save the Bridge' campaign and donated lots of money to the club in the 70's and 80's to keep it running and are repaid by the club by ridiculous ticket prices which do not allow them to go often or at all.
  20. The way we played today convinced me that we could genuinely be title contenders. The play in midfield was unbelievable at times. Obviously we won't be able to play so openly and fluidly against bigger teams but we have a midfield 3 that can unlock any defence.
