Lets be honest even if we beat Liverpool at Anfield where we have been piss poor for the last few seasons we will still be 1 point off 5th. On the last day Spurs play Fulham, which the spuds should win, Newcastle go to Everton, which Newcastle should win, and Arsenal play West Brom. Of course, there may be a few upsets but really do you think that all 3 of Newcastle, Arsenal and Spurs will lose? It is not worth the risk of putting out our best side against Blackburn who may be fighting for their lives and playing physical hoofball which could injure players for the final. Lukaku, Bertrand, Hutchinson should all play at least one of the games against Blackburn or Liverpool. Another reason we should play rubbish against Blackburn is because it increases the chance that QPR will be relegated On another note I really don't think Chalobah should play. He is nowhere near physically ready for Premier League football so it could do him more harm than good being thrown in at the deep end.

what a stupid way of putting it. Lampard has been surrounded by quality players like Drogba, Terry, Cole, Carvalho etc. who were pivotal in helping us to win the league. Liverpool have not had real quality in their team for a long time to surround Gerrard. The Premier League is not something which one player can carry their team towards. Yes Lampard had played a big part in helping us to win the league but it is a team effort and Gerrard has not had such a good team around him. By your logic Sergio Busquets is better than Messi because he has won the World Cup

Im not against it I just think that justin is being very disrespectful because he is in essence saying that we should just tear Stamford Bridge up as soon as possible and show no respect for our past
-
we were founded as a club to fill Stamford Bridge, not the other way round.

You could also visit the beautiful port town of Middlesborough- sardines are a speciality here and you can stroll along the pristine port and look at all of the billionaire yachts. Sloth lives there too so you can go an visit him. Here is a picture to excite you But don't go to Grimsby- there's a clue in the name

Just don't go further north than Watford. They all have 6 fingers and 3 eyes up north (although you could go to Birmingham and learn to speak fluent Brummie- just say 'err' instead of each vowel) and it is about half a century behind the south oh and here is a guide to Birmingham http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Birmingham

Just out of interest why has the Old Stamford Bridge thread been archived?

As strange as it sounds I am not really looking forward to it. I just love Stamford Bridge and how it perfectly fits our identity as a club- the history of the stadium and the fact that they still play on the same pitch that was first played on in 1905 when it was a massive open bowl. We are one of very few clubs to still be playing in their original stadium. Chelsea FC would not exist without Stamford Bridge being built and we will be leaving some incredible memories there. That Shed Wall is Chelsea, the 1970's East Stand is Chelsea, Fulham Road is Chelsea, Brompton Cemetery is Chelsea, the District Line and Fulham Broadway are Chelsea, the posh houses in the area are Chelsea. It is all the little things that make me love Stamford Bridge. All of those memories will be flattened and replaced by a housing development. However, we should look to the future. We have the potential to compete with Real Madrid, AC Milan, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and our ground could be a really intimidating place. Battersea has always been the hub of our 'real' and 'hardcore' support and a 15,000 seat version of the old Shed end will be truly incredible. The club could have a real impact on the lives of people in Battersea and it would be the springboard for us going from being a regional club to a worldwide club loved around the world. As much as I love Abramovich for what he has done, this will in my opinion be the final nail in the coffin of the 'real' Chelsea FC. proper ground.

Blackburn v Wigan now that's a proper derby

This is from the club and is about the viability of expanding Stamford Bridge http://www.chelseafc.com/page/DocumentsFull/0,,10268~2629432,00.html

Not many seats could be added if we expand Stamford Bridge. The expansion would probably involve adding 5000 or so seats to the Matthew Harding stand, bringing the capacity to roughly 47,000. The Shed End would be the other stand which it would be viable to expand but again not many seats could be added because there are not enough exits and there are houses behind it. That would probably be about 5000 maximum again so we would have 52,000. As for the East and West stands, it is more or less impossible to expand them, even by knocking them down and starting again. The club has calculated that it is not financially viable to expand Stamford Bridge and reasonably it is not possible. For a potential new stadium, 55,000 seems to be the figure thrown around and at the moment it would better suit our fan base size. However, it would probably be built so that we could expand it in the future if we needed to. The new stadium looks as if it could be in Battersea, although Nine Elms and Earls Court are other sites that have been considered. The club has not spoken much about a new stadium though. Battersea has a very large site for a stadium though and regeneration of the area would come with a new stadium. I think that in the near future the CPO will vote in favour of selling Stamford Bridge to the club though because the first vote (when there were only 61% of votes) was at a time when the club had not spoken about the viability of expanding Stamford Bridge and gave no information about a new stadium to the CPO. Therefore, the CPO were not happy to sell Stamford Bridge because they did not know where, when or to what they would be moving to. They now know that moving is probably the better option. As more information is possibly given, the chance of more than 61% voting in favour of selling will most likely increase.

well we certainly put the inbreds in their place. The best bit was that getting off the tube they were singing 'Fuck off Chelsea, West London is ours'- what with you going down to the Championship and playing in a shoebox? We're going to Germany, you're going to Barnsley!
-
we should not underestimate Newcastle because this is still a very important game. They will want to win after getting plastered by Wigan and Ben Arfa, Ba, Cisse, Cabaye have all been playing like players in a top 4 club so we should not be complacent. To be honest, QPR are average shit and they had given up by 3-0 so I wouldn't say that we are now some sort of super team that will be able to demolish anyone. Cech Bosingwa Ivanovic Terry Cole Mikel Meireles Malouda Mata Sturridge Torres

I want Adebayo Akinfenwa The definition of the word 'tank'

Chalobah is not fully developed physically yet we need to give him another year or so before he is playing senior football. If we end up in the Europa League we could keep Piazon, McEachran and De Bruyne for the group stage games and loan them out in the january window. Bertrand should be staying with the first team now because he is good enough and Lukaku should be given a few substitute appearances.

Pissed off. Weekends mean nothing when you have to revise for GCSE's

anyone else getting pissed off with the amount of people joining the site purely to look to rip off fans or try to scrounge a few tickets somehow for one of the biggest games in our history? I don't mind if people actually contribute to the forum as well but it really annoys me when people join the forum, scrounge some tickets and then bugger off again

Its been absolutely pissing it down in showers for about a week and will carry on for the foreseeable future. I want to live somewhere hot and sunny
