Cheers....I also like the way it is coming together regarding player purchases.. The Modric situation showed we are not the mugs of old when it comes to splashing Roman's dough..... I like the way that we are trying to play attractive football to....really enjoyed the Bayern game the other night....Mierlies is a very good underated player, look how long he holds onto the ball - Hardly ever takes more than 2 touches before passing it.... Watching us play has defo became a joy again under AVB in the last few games compared the the drivel we had for the second half of last season...

We are 3/1 to win this game with some bookies - amazing...I think we have a good chance but I would be happy with a point. For me Anelka should start ahead of Torres and let Torres come on in the last 30 mins, look at him at the start v Bayern, caused them real problems.... If Luiz plays at Centre back for this game then we will lose, for all his ability he is not a centre half.....i would also leave Mikel out of this as he is likely to pickup 2 bookings, as rememeber the ref is always ManUre's 12th man at the theatre of wank... Lets look on the bright side to even things up..... 12mill for Mierlies and 25mill for Mata are very good buys....plus how much did we pay for sturridge 5million??.....Romeu for 5 is a good buy to....It could be worse, we could have paid 40 mill for Modric and would then be stuck with him and Torres....the wages of Mierlies and mata are good for the club to, £50 and £65k a week....nearly matches Fulhams Broadways Talk Chelsea salary!!!!

True - it is fuck all to Roman, but the dough we paid for him and his wages will count towards this financial fair play bollocks so the deal will hurt us in the long run. Even if we loan him can't see anyone matching his wages....I do feel sorry for him though, I have never seen one player get so much stick for such a long period of time by the press. Wise words from your "experienced" head there FB. I've got a feeling the stick he gets will ultimately send him out of this country and the English media will be to blame. That said I think he will b a better option up front than Drogba with our new style of playing. If Drogba starts trying to display his "footballing" skills it will be embarrising. Think Anelka should be our CF on current form...

I have only seen the Stoke and West Brom games this season. Against Stoke he was fantastic and I thought he did well to against West Brom and was unlucky to be subbed. Indeed his perfomance in that game was much better than his replacement(Drogba). I did not see the Norwich or Sunderland game, and after these two it seems the stick has started again. Can someone give me an unbiased view of his performance in those 2 games in comparison to the first 2?? Also in regards to judging his Chelsea career, I think when we bought him he inital performances were poor, but to be fair wankers like Malouda were going out of thier way to make him look bad. I try to give an impartial view on all Chelsea players but what always sticks in my mind re: Torres was that great finish from the corner in the 1st champs league game against Man Ure last year, that was incorrectly disallowed. Had that gone in I really think that could have been the lift off for him...

Did anyone really think Lampard would be dropped by AVB??. It will take at least 5 consecutive poor performances until he is dropped. As for Josh, Im surprised he is even on the bench ahead of yossi and Romeu.

Think they will put him on the bench for this one ahead of Kalou....With Mata and Orioul likely on the bench to, no place for Yossi and Josh.....

Says on Chelsea's twitter account that Mata has been given the number 10 shirt. Maybe that is what Yossi was refering to on twitter this week?

Think AVB may bring in Ivanovic for Alex at centre half and Anelka for Kalou with Malouda on the left. Hope he stays with Torres up front as he looks more threatening than Drogba....... Would like to see us play 4-5-1 with Yossi on the left with Mata in a free role behind Torres like Liverpool used to do with Gerrard. Ramires could play right with Lampard and Mikel in the middle, but obviously that won't happen...........

I would prefer Hazard to......More of a central player while Mata is wide....we have cover for both wings over the course of a season with Lukaka and Malouda left and Sturrudge and Kakuta right if we fail to get a winger.....

Dont see AVB dropping Lampard after 1 game......If he does not drop 1 or both of Kalou and Malouda then that is a concern.

Improved players under AVB = Torres, Bosingwa, Anelka, Mikel, Mcearchan, Alex Players staying at the same level = Ramires, Drogba, Cole, Terry, Lampard, Cech, Ivanovic, Sturridge Players going backwards = Kalou, Malouda

AVB will show us how much steel he has for his next match selection. Will he drop both Kalou and Malouda, as a sign to the others that performances like thiers against Stoke will not be tolerated????
