If it was me I would actually get the Drogba click back playing till the end of the season in a 4-3-3 and explain to Torres that he will not be in the team till next year. That way we can put them in the shop window for the summer....In hindsight we should have signed him next summer, but Roman panicked when the wheels started to fall off....

The ego's are to big....look at all succesful striking partnerships over the course of time and one of them has to play the second striker role and be happy with.....4-4-2 is a thing of the past though it has to be 4-3-3-, 4-5-1 these days..... He aint mate he is a defensive liabilty. I went on coaching courses as a 7 yr old and you are told NEVER turn your back on the ball, exactly what he did for thier goal. Also he is so weak ANY player brushes him off the ball. That said of course it is not all his fault - the midfleid are not creative enough for 4-4-2. Signing Torres has given us a shit load of problems that need to be sorted in the summer.

It will be very difficut but not if we play to our strengths like I just mentioned 4-3-3 with the players that fit the system. Drogba has to be the main striker in our team up there.......Torres benched till the summer.

I have not read through this thread, so apologies if I go over something that has already been discussed. I think it is time for a reality check guys. I have been a hugely pro Torres and have criticised Ancellotti alot on here but last night was the opposite. Carlo picked exactly the team I woulsd have and I thought Torres was poor. Man U are not a great side but they bossed the game last night, yes it was a blatant penalty but do not let that hide our frailties. Lampard and Essien DO NOT have the ability to play centrally in a 4-4-2 and we had zero creative players on the pitch last night. As was discussed at length on here Bosingwa is a liabilty, first rule of defending you NEVER turn your back on the ball. Big changes are required in the summer if we are to change our style of play. For now we need to revert back to what we are good at 4-3-3 with strength, pace and effort and that means Torres on the bench till the summer.....

True but the fact is he is being a complete arse and not passing the ball. He has the ability that is not in question but he is not being a team player at the moment so should not be in the side. Zhikov on the other hand is playing well for the team and deserves a chance......
