Great 2 goals advantage, don't blow it away Chelsea. Our left flank has worked impressively well in the first half, Cole and Malouda were quite dangerous. Drogba man of the match so far definitely, brilliant performance. I've seen improvement on Malouda, Essien and Lampard. Essien's returning to his old form, gradually. Some nice assisting from him.

Alright, another week without a goal for Fernando Torres then. Well done Carlo.

The Champions League.
-
It obviously is. Show them the bench and see how they perform in their next game. Or simply tell them not to make 10 yard passes if you see that it's not working, or if you notice that your game is rather predictable. Change the way of playing, put another player on instead of Essien or Lampard, tell them to change the game, give more boost to the attack, look for the striker, motivate them, tell them not to lose posession in midfield, there are MANY things a coach can do to improve his team, he is there for a reason. We were promised that we would see something special on Tuesday against Man United, and what did we see? Nothing apart from showing more will to win the game, which we should have shown in the first leg in the first place, and the removal of Torres for Drogba. Our game was boring and predictable, just like during the whole season.

I'm not a Carlo hater. I actually quite like the man, I liked him even from his Milan days as Milan were my favourite team in Italy, and I've been supporting him throughout the whole season. But I'm just expressing my honest opinion on how I think that the club could improve for the next season, that's all.
-
It clearly is. Why play the player if he is in bad form and if he is not playing well? The coach decides who plays and who doesn't.
-
Yeah okay, go on. Accuse Frank Lampard, Michael Essien, Florent Maluda, Fernando Torres etc etc, and not the coach. The coach is the head of the team, and if the team fails, it's because his tactics and strategies didn't work. Nobody can guarantee me that we will do better in the next season. With all the negative reputation we received as a club with Torres being a 'flop', Carlo finishing a disappionting season and all that, nobody in the world can convince or guarantee me that we WILL do better in the next season. If you don't want to look back in the history when Mourinho got us to the back to back titles, then why mention Carlo's success which will soon be counted as two seasons ago? We need a winning manager.
-
You have no right to call me a plastic fan. It's people like you who accuse others of being plastic fans that piss me off, what authority do you have to accuse another fan, just because he thinks that one coach is better than another? It's called an opinion, and it's a forum where people are supposed to express their opinions, not everyone agrees with each other. How many stupid mistakes did Carlo make anyway? Remove Drogba in first leg against United, not start him in the second. Don't be so tolerant. He was brought to win us the Champions League and we failed to score at the Bridge in the knockout stages with Carlo in charge, the last goal in the Champions League knockout stages at the Bridge still remains Essien's against Barcelona from two years ago. It's not about ending the season without trophies, it's about his tactics and his wrong moves. Blaming only the players is ridiculous. Look at Real Madrid, they failed to get to the Quarter-finals of the Champions League for 7 consecutive years, but in his first season Mourinho ends that negative streak, it's not a coincidence. It's because he is Mourinho, people. Because he is the best coach in the world.
-
I wonder what would every Ancelotti fan be saying if we ended a trophyless season next season as well. Keep him for another? Yeah right... Jose, or Porto's manager, PLEASE ROMAN!
-
Next season's league top scorer.
-
Good idea Essien. Games like these are highly entertaining to watch, and especially now that there are five Chelsea players. Means we can still see some of our legends play even after the league has ended.
-
No way. He's old now. We won't be wanting to sell an oldie to bring another.
-
Put Mikel instead of Essien, Essien in Lampard's place and we're fine.

So Sad. A Chelsea fan dies after 2nd leg match.

RIP A real tragedy. -
Apparently, in 160 minutes of playing together Drogba and Torres have only passed to each other five times and one of those was from the kick off. This is way more worrying than I thought.
-
Anelka has good skills and technique, but he is a lazy son of a bitch who doesn't seem to give a damn atm. Therefore he must definitely be sold in the summer.
-
Cech Ivanovic/Ferreira - Luiz - Terry - Cole Mikel Ramires - Benayoun Drogba - Torres - Malouda Give Frank, Essien and Alex a rest. Alex wasn't that confident on Tuesday, he was beaten on many occasions. With Drogba returning to his form and starting to perform well, he should definitely start. Don't fucking lose the faith on Torres or else he'll be the next Andriy Shevchenko with no single doubt. Remove him on 60 or 70 minutes if he doesn't score, but don't bloody bring that prick Kalou on. He has not improved at all, not even a little since his first Chelsea season. His first touch is horribly laughable, and a player who is supposed to be a professional and who can't receive one ball properly doesn't deserve to play for Chelsea Football Club. I've seen improvement on Malouda since that Wigan game, he was not that bad against United on Tuesday either, I saw the 1/4 of last season's Malouda, he was unstopabble in some of his runs. Carlo must definitely play John Mikel and Benayoun on this one. Enough of the stupid decisions. Let's win this.
-
I like Carlo, for the fact that he's an example of how all football coaches should be. He has won the Champions League twice in the past 10 years, but I don't see him winning it with Chelsea. He had the chance twice, last season we lost home and away to Inter, this season the same against United. One season was enough to test his real skills and see if he can rescue our season, but it seems it wasn't to be. We can't risk another trophyless season. No people, I won't be saying 'There is always next season' in the end of the next season too. We should win a major trophy, be it the CL or the League. I have a lot of respect for you Carlo, but, all good things come to an end. Thanks for all the fish.

How on earth did that cunt Ferdinand not get sent off for this?
-
Fernando Torres is way too good to be a flop, and he can't be called as one. The media and football fans love calling players flops if they don't perform as good as people would have expected them to. But next season he will regain his confidence and all what is needed to become the league's top scorer. The thing that worries me is that he has no confidence in himself atm, which is why the defenders aren't as scared of him as they used to be. He just needs that first bloody goal, then the pressure will ease, and he will start scoring for fun.
-
Villas Boas or Jose Mourinho please. We need a winning manager, a manager that will add a winning mentality into the team.
-
Thanks, but no thanks. We have the best goalkeeper in the world.

How on earth could I forget Bosingwa on my first post?! I suppose I was too shocked from the defeat and I couldn't think properly, even though in my mind he has always been top of that list. Post edited now. As for Lampard, the club can't sell him, I would be shocked if it happened. Just a few months before we were all hoping he would finish his footballing career with Chelsea, now suddenly everyone is against him? Don't be too harsh on Frank. This has no doubt been his worst season over the last few years, but nobody is perfect. Carlo should rest Lamps for a game or two, let him return to his old form gradually. Lampard is a Chelsea legend, legends can't be sold, it's as simple as that.
