David Luiz deal was on and off for the best part of a year, Alex was on and off for the best part of 4 years, Robinho deal was on until 10pm on deadline day. Apparently David Luiz wanted to go to City over us, apparently Ronaldinho vowed he will never go to Chelsea in 2006 especially under Mourinho, then in 2007 he was trying to force a move then in 2008 was begging to go to Chelsea when Scolari took over. Brazilians and transfers = long, messy saga.

Got high hopes of a Fernando and Danny partnership but while they mayor may not finish there Chelsea career as (statistically) better players than Jimmy and EIdur i cant see them being a better partnership its true what Jimmy said there will not be a better one for a long long time.

and as ive said he will always be loved by the blues faithful but eventually we will hit some bad form under Guus if he comes back permanently and how do you know he wont be walking around thinking shit how do i get their form back? something which will ruin the memories we have off his first reign, i dont want him back for that reason, same with Jose. In a way i also wish Carlo walked out after winning the double, same with Malouda aswell.

Hiddink's spell was great but remember it was merely 3 months, he seems to have saviour status on this forum at the moment but how do you know if we hit a brick wall under Guus he wont be walking around wondering what to do? Guus is a great man and will always be loved by the blues fauthfull but if you think were be ruling English football for his whole tenure you might be in for a shock.

WIth Hilario almost certainly going, Delac not ready and Turnbull quite frankly not good enough maybe we should make a sneaky attempt to get him to deputise Cech until Delac's ready now he has got released by Wolves. He is experienced aswell as proven premier league quality, hardly ever makes mistakes, for a short term number 2 we could do a LOT worse. If Cech gets injured who would you be more comfortable in goal out of him and Turnbull? He wont get in ahead of Cech but would be a fantastic short term no2, thoughts?

Looks like he has just won the biggest hypocrite of the decade award.

As current member of the month (and thanks again for all who voted) its my job to nominate for my successor and here are my choices. 1. Me - Just Joking Now the real choices Blue Lion Alex really helps keep this forum going with the prediction league, brilliant match review's amoungst many other things, Talk Chelsea will be a much poorer place without him. Jim Spent hours of hard work getting the forum back after we got hacked and gave up his Saturday night in the process, he may not post as much as others but his contribution to the admin side of things is hugely under-estimated. LDN Blue His post a day average speaks for itself, his contributions this month has been as high as any month and always add's to a debate and starts really good threads. Mad Max Another massive contributor of the forum, Jaimin has been as active as any-one this month and i can count the threads i have not seen him comment in on my left hand. Steve As Alex said last month, despite being as far away from his home land as is humanly possible and with limited access he has still managed to use these forums regally and also has been taking some pictures at the games for us to all see. Another active month for Steve. Fulham Broadway Since ive joined the forum broadway has been more active this month than any month, joining in on the banter and not afraid to get his own point across at the same time. Voting will close on the 8th June at 5pm.

Henry and Bergkamp took time to get it right where-as Jimmy and Eidur clicked striaght away, it had to be something special to keep Zola on the bench. Those 2 (along with Cudicini) really saved our ass in 01/02, the rest were pretty average even Zola has his worse season with us (despite scoring one of the goals of the decade). What i loved the most about these 2 is they even when they were playing there bad games they were still sweating blood and tears for the cause which is more than can be said for Malouda and Anelka. Henry, Bergkamp and Yorke, Cole had dream service Jimmy and Eidur that season had off form midfielders behind them and there goal tally in 01/02 combined stood up to both there best goal returns. That is to me why they were the best partnership and still aint been surpased..

Youth team to play European football?

He leaves last summer he would have been remembered as the guy who made many commanding and sensational performances that helped us to the double in record breaking style. He leaves tommorow he will be remembered as a lazy "winger" who could not be assed to do jack shit during games and had about 4 good games all season. Maybe he should have just left last summer on a high? Thats what IMO we should do to 90% of 28+'s who have a awesome season where they look un-stoppable, let them leave in the summer for a decent fee so the fans remember him fondly, because next season they probably wont even be half as effective the next.

As i was at the cottage yesterday i thought id give a review on what happened. When i got there players were coming out every now and again signing autographs and i discovered i missed Zola and Jimmy by 10 minutes, no happy Fulham V Chelsea was the first match, Barry Hayles for Fulham hit the post and Tore Andre Flo missed a penalty before Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink rolled back the years with a hat-trick (his 3rd was hilarious when he taunted the whole crowd leaving the ball on the line for 10 seconds ) and Pat Nevin came up with a double, a penalty for Fulham made it 1-1 at one point but at the end of the second half they were ripped apart, although it's only a charity tournament it was great seeing our old boys play with class and swagger. 5-1 Chelsea. Watching Spurs play Arsenal in all honesty it weren't that exciting, it looked like they were cancelling each other out till a deft chip by a Tottenham player and a good solo effort from Darren Anderton gave them the win, i don't like assuming wins but i was pretty sure we could have beaten whoever got through out of those two. 2-0 Spuds. A charity penalty shootout followed where the keeper would donate £500 for charity for every pen that got scored past him, 10 out of 12 were scored including all 3 of our takers (Zola, Jimmy and Beasent). The final against Spurs our legends won easy 4 goals and could have been more, Ken Monkou opened the scoring before Zola's delightful free kick had the Chelsea fans in delight, when he was about to take it i thought the position was similar to the one where he scored against Tottenham in 2003, the second half it was even easier as Tore Andre Flo and Jody Morris completed the formality to let Chelsea lift the cup. 4-0 Chelsea Might only be a charity tourno but it is always good to see our legends going strong and its always good to beat London rivals in anyway shape or form. another interesting stat for yesterday GOALS SCORED Chelsea 9 The rest 3 Great day out and well worth the money, its on again next year apparently and if we enter again i strongly recommend going

I was actually pretty happy with the Maniche signing because the only time i saw him previously was euro 2004 and he was fantastic but his time at us was short, sometimes i forget he even came lol.

After what i saw today ............. Pat Nevin?

With the talk of Neymar increasing all the time i just thought id get your view's on which signing's excited you the most as a Chelsea fan and which one's underwhelmed you the most. Id pick 3 out in each. My 3 most excited one's 3. Asier Del Horno A surprise one this one but he has a track record as a solid and scoring left back and for the first month it looked good, he had a header cleared off the line against Arsenal and then scored at White Hart Lane a week later aswel as good solid performances added to it, i think its best i don't go past that month however. 2. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink I was a secret fan of his when he was at Leeds anyway (i use to joke to my Leeds fan teacher in PS that he was going to Chelsea) and i can remember looking at the Chelsea squad list on the good ol ceefax and seeing Jimmy's name and i thought it was a youth player name sake, when i found out it was actually him i had to slap myself 10 times to make sure it was happening 1. Hernan Crespo Another surprise choice but again i was a massive fan of his in his Lazio and Inter days and the year before he signed for us (02/03) he use to be my first fifa signing every time (on fifa 03), i can remember just after Roman's take over we were constantly linked with his Inter team mate Christian Vieiri and i kept shouting at the tele wrong player get Crespo, when i tuned in to sky sports and the main headline was Chelsea were on the verge of signing of him i could not fucking believe it. I have to say tho, if Neymar comes in it will eclipse all 3 of them. My 3 most underwhelmed signing's 3. Yossi Benayoun I was in Bulgaria at the time this happened did not hear about it until i came back but i hardly batted a eyelid, to be fair the guys a decent player but a hard one to get excited about. 2. Ross Turnbull What the hell where we doing? I saw his performance against us for Boro in 2008 and it was ridiculous, did not have a good feeling about this at-all and in hignsight i was right considering he has not kept a single clean sheet in a match he has started. 1. Enrique De Lucas He was our only signing that summer, but i was so underwhelmed when we signed him, considering the high profile acquisition's the year before could not see what he would have given to the side. What are your personal top 3 at both ends of the scale?
-
Maybe we should just keep this squad and add Beckham and Nesta add to "experience"
-
Lets be honest Zola is a legend as a Chelsea player and will be our best ever player for a long long time but he still has it all to prove in the management side of things. Look what happened when Norwich and Newcastle went down the legends route with Bryan Gunn and Alan Shearer.
-
Im going there cant wait, were a bit spoiled for choice up front tho, what happened to Maka i thought he was playing? Shame Eidur cant play would have loved to have seen his and Jimmy's partnership one last time. On a side not does any-one know if our megastore's open? feel like stopping at Broadway on the way?
-
have u got a video of him receiving the award?
-
-
Do u really think he will come to play under Redknapp?
-
We get Arry we can kiss goodbye to Neymar
-
He still has 2 years to run so we dont need to panic just yet. However if this does happen we will be the laughing stock of English football and rightly so.
