  1. Nice good to see more active teams this time, last season only me, Sinised and Artron were active in league 2. good luck in the league (unless it's against me ofcourse )
  2. I know i dont know how to spell his name and cant be fucked to check.
  3. London Royals got there first, will look forward to playing them for the first time. I wish there was a way to change the username, only made loyal_servant up because i was in a rush and friggin Ferreira crossed my mind that second
  4. The Kronenborg in our league? shit i got them last game aswell i think.
  5. Just beat Super Villans in a freindly, invited every-one for one next week (supervillans included), guess it's first come first serve now.
  6. Stats like that are pointless, IE Ivanovic scored more goals in half a hour (against Spartak) than Rooney did in 8 months or Ivanovic scored more goals in his first hour against Liverpool than Gerrard ever has against Chelsea.
  7. Unless De Gea improves before United go there, Delap will have some serious fun and possibly a boost to his assist list.
  8. I don't get why some people are hating on Stoke, they may not play the best football in the world but they play to their strenghts and their resources to get the best results possible, if they played an open you shoot, we shoot with us we would beat them 6-0 every time atleast and after what we did to them the year before last at The Bridge is it any wonder they are cautious against us? Stoke (along with Wigan) are living proof that it is possible to go up and compete and i respect them for that. If you dont like them thats tough because they are staying around for a very long time. Don't understand why any-one is that pessismistic about this game, result was disapointing but there are certainly some positive signs to go into this season, also we still have Sturridge and Luiz to return, Ivan to start playing, Lukaku and Romeu to come in and that's even without mentioning a possible couple more signing's.
  9. Its probally because you have a freindly coming up, after ive played super villans im gunna invite every (active) team who is out of the cup to a freindly and whoever accept's first plays me.
  10. He has survived 5 managers not including Andre so they must see something we don't. Either way atleast he gives his all on the pitch so i can forgive any lack of abilty if they give there all, which makes me angry at the player on the other side of the "wing" at Stoke. Even tho i like him using Wenger and Kalou's mutual admiration to sweeten a Nasri deal sounds tempting.
  11. Last few season's we have stood still a bit granted, but i think were slowly heading in the right direction and the summer signing's prove that. If we can sign that creative player and winger (Nasri and Hazard and ill be Roman and Andre's salve for 6 monthS) and imho we should be favroites, no-one is giving us a chance but no-one gave Andre's Porto a chance last season at this time. Next year there be another step in the right direction, Anelka and most likely Malouda wil finally be off the wage bill and it would not have come a day to soon.
  12. Brown and O Shea were still decent squad players that would fill in and never dis-apoint, Hargreavs and Neville may not have played that much but they were still key figures in the dressing room. Also i don't think they are as strong defensively, Rio and Vidic ain't the same as they were in 2008 and a few years back they had VDS one of the best keepers around with Kuzsack and Foster (two proven premier goallie's as back up) now they have the nervous De Gea with Lindegard (who even the great dane said aint good enough to be number one) and Amos (who didn't even imprese in league one) as back up. A few injuries could leave them looking thin and say Rio and Vidic have similar injury problems to JT and Alex last season could Smalling, JOnes, De Gea and Cleverly really turn it around when the chips are down? They won it last season because every one else was shit more than anything else, this year imo they are there for the taking just depends on whether there is a team that could grab the opportunity by both hands, if Fergie was not incharge i would have said they don't stand a chance.
  13. Sorry but i can't agree with that. 3 players (all with not one single CL game between them may i add) have came in and 6 very expierenced players have gone out (Brown, O Shea, Scholes, VDS, Neville, Hargreavs). remember what happened to us when we tried a similar squad cutting exercise last season? Also not forgetting VDS single handedly won United 15 points last season atleast, can you really see De Gea doing the same? this season anyway.
  14. Considering what we did to Stoke 16 months ago is it any suprise they don't attack us? This is Andre's chance to make a real statement, drop the under-performing players off last week so that Cole, Lamps, Malouda and Kalou OUT Bertrand, McEachran, Benayoun and Anelka IN. Im hoping Foster get's a early red card, Marton Fulop in goal at The Bridge again is a very attractive proposition. my team: Cech, Bosingwa, Alex, Terry, Bertrand, McEachran, Ramires, Mikel, Benayoun, Anelka, Torres.
  15. The champions- Chelsea (judging bylast season with Porto people are seriously underestimating Andre) Top 4- Chelsea, United, City, Arsenal Relegated - Q.P.R, Blackburn, Swansea (Norwich looks like a calm and confident place under Lambert and i think they will comfetably stay up) Signing of the season- Gervinho Surprise manager sacking of the season- Dalglish Over-achieving team of the season- Stoke City Flop of the season (team)- Liverpool (who gives a fuck if Dalglish was succesful 20 years ago Liverpool aint good enough, end off) after saturday i think QPR will follow shortly after. Flop of the season (player)- Adel Tarrabt/ Jordan Henderson
  16. What you gunna do if you want a new player but are 20,000 short?
  17. Looking for freindly's weekly, got super villans tommorow who wants one next week?
  18. hope his Dad returns safe, makes you put drawing at Stoke into prespetive.
  19. Out of intrest was i the only one screaming Alex when Drogba was lining up those free kicks?
  20. If you look at our recent history, we do better during the season when we do worse on the opening day if that makes sense. 04/05 Start with a 1-0 win, Champions 05/06 Start with a 1-0 win, Champions 06/07 Start with a 3-0 win, runners up 07/08 Start with a 3-2 win, runners up 08/09 Start with a 4-0 win, 3rd place 09/10 Start with a 2-1 win, Champions 10/11 Start with a 6-0 win, runners up 11/12 Start with a 0-0 draw So history suggest's the worse we do on day one, the better our season ends up, lets hope its the case again.
  21. With my public team i played a 2nd leg (1-0 down from first leg) saw the score 5-5 and thought it was the score on 90 minutes, found out that infact i won 1-0 on the night but lost 5-4 on pens
  22. good review Not to disapointed with the performance, much better than i saw most if not all of last season.
  23. Im try and defend Kalou is possible but today he was dire at best.
  24. Yes the result today was dis-apointing but The Brittania is one of the hardest places to play in the league, but the performance difference is easy to see already. Fernando Torres and Jose Bosingwa What the fucking hell has happened, Torres was incredible today, absolutely incredible hungry, making runs very unlucky not to get a goal and Bosingwa looked a completely different player In My Opinion. Very good from them two. Pressure and ball retention 64% possesion in a small pitch against a team that are constantly in your faces says it all, we made good passes and movement's on the ball, yes wasted a few but look like Barca in comparision to last season, and we were good with our pressure to get the ball back especially in the second half. Urgency What hurt the most about last season was how easy teams held out to 1/3 points against us as we showed little to no urgency in the latter stages, today as longer as the second half went on we were making Stoke sweat blood and tears to get that point something that i was screaming at the tele for last season so im more than happy about that aspect. ITS ONLY DAY ONE Remember that, Guardiola's first Barca game was a loss against a newly promoted side, United did not win their first four games when they won the treble or their first three in 07/08 and those season's didn't go bad. 2 out of United's last 3 titles came after opening day stalemates. Apart from the top United and City, IMO this is the hardest place to win. All signs bode to a succesful season.
