  1. Que the over-reacting our season is over cry's
  2. I heard Gourlay is drawing up their new five year contracts that will be signed when they get back into london
  3. What we lack IMO with Essien out, as-well as a obvious creative player, i personally think our top priority has to be a player who can take a big game by the scruff of the neck and Barton fits that bill. Not one to get exicted about but i will not be angry if we get him either.
  4. Had the shock of my life when 20 minutes in my keeper got injured and a outfielder went in goal. On a side note is it just me cause i swear for the last 10 or so games in a row (this and my public team) there has been a disallowed goal for either side, last season i had one chalked off against Sinised that cost me the title. Any-one else getting loads of dis-allowed goals these days?
  5. No good if you can'y defend, is it a coinsidence Pool's defence has gone to pot since Johnson replaced a perfectly good Arbeloa.
  6. No good if you can'y defend, is it a coinsidence Pool's defence has gone to pot since Johnson replaced a perfectly good Arbeloa.
  7. Bliming heck, you did better than i did if it weren't my own questions haha, missed a couple but id still give you rep Any-one who wants to do this please don't look at the spoilers
  8. I don't think the sole reason for sacking managers was because of his failure to win the champions league, it's just a myth from the anti Chelsea media, yes Roman wants it at the club sooner rather than later who wouldn't but he does not base his decision's solely on that. Grant was toast even if we had won, dropped points and shite tactics put pay to that, the CL final should never have gone to pens, if Avram got his tactics right or less wrong we would have won in normal time, he nearly got away it but either way he was gone. I don't think Carlo was sacked because of the trophyless season, he was sacked because of the way we went trophyless, although i wanted him to stay the performances last season were indefendable. If Andre gets us playing pulsating football and say gets 85 points but just gets pipped by United or City on 86, has the young players a step up in development and we exit the CL kicking and screaming instead of the laboured way we went out to United can you really see him getting the sack?
  9. Johnson? shit defender, getting exposed at Liverpool and England. Sidwell? should not have made that signing in the first place and he was mid 20's when he joined, hardly a youngster. Di Santo? shit all round, his goal record aint that much better than Gary Neville's. Mancienne? never convincing on loan spells. Bruma? Exposed at times last season and had a rough ride at Leicester, this move is the right one for him.
  10. Bored so i thought id make up 10 question quiz 1. Who was the last Chelsea player to score in a home defeat to Arsenal? 2. How many Chelsea players have played under Gerard Houllier at some point in their career and who? 3. How many times have Chelsea scored past Joe Hart? 4. How many clean sheets has Petr Cech kept against Manchester United? 5. Which season did Gianfranco Zola score his least amount of Chelsea goals in one season? 6. Who did Frank Lampard score his first Chelsea goal against? 7. Paulo Ferreira scored his first Chelsea goal in 2006, which Chelsea player scored a own goal in the same game? 8. Who were the opponents in the match Paulo scored in and who got the other two goals to compete a 3-1 win? 9. Didier Drogba has faced Arsenal in 5 different grounds, which is the only stadium he has not scored against them in? 10. How many times did Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink score against Liverpool during his Chelsea career? no cheating get 9 or 10 ill give u a rep
  11. Why does when a new player get signed they assume its the end for a young one, its hardly ever the case. We here the same crap with Modric, people seem to think McEachran is in trouble if he signs. Prime example remember when Deco signed for Barcelona? Iniesta was only 19 and was on the verge of breaking through to the first team week in week out, every one thought Deco was going to push him back but did it? no and it won't happen here either.
  12. welcome back did you go on Keyna on holiday or work?
  13. chelseatickets.org/chelsea-tie-up-rights-to-three-young-brazilian-players/ thoughts? for once it looks like we did well on this one.
  14. Judging by his display there last season is it such bad thing?
  15. Stats like that can be misleading, like for example during the 90's we had amazing record at Old Trafford but a beyond shite one at Anfield, does that mean Liverpool were better than United in that decade? Another example Everton at home, Chelsea fans deem that as a bogey fixture these days despite the fact Everton have not won a league match at he Bridge for i dont know how long. Stoke are still a hard team to brake down at The Britt and in reality we could have had no serious complaints if they won the fixture their last season 4-1.
  16. By then we should have been able to tempt Madini and Cafu out of retirement
  17. Stoke are one of the premierleague success stories. When they came up they were one of the shortest odds ever to go back down, 4 season's in and they are well on their way to being like Charlton were in the early 00's. Tony Pulis is a fantastic manager i have to say.
  18. True say this season we have 85 points and the champs have 88, our youth are looking better, we go out of the CL with a fight and not the lame way United knocked us out and there are genuine exicting signs for the future can any=one really see Andre getting sacked?
  19. The CL final should never have gone to pens, Rio was struggling yet Grant kept Drogba on Vidic, given Sheva's CL final expierence not bringing him on was criminal. The FA Cup Barnsley didn't even have to play that well to beat us and that hurt, the carling cup final he got the team and tactics wrong, ie not picking a in form Cole and sorry but to lose 10 point in injury time is unacceptable. Yes ok he did well steadying the ship but that year we were at the peak of our powers and should have done so much better.
  20. you get over it eventually, Nasri was on my fav non Chelsea players pre Arsenal #confession
  21. The media and rival fans love using the 7 managers in 7 years to put us down, but when looking at it throughly is it acutally as bad as people make out? Claudio Ranieri - great man as he is he never seemed to have that killer instint that separates the nearly men to the winners, he did amazing getting us into the cl but his runners up medals on his cv says it all and Roman was never going to accept runners up. Jose Mourinho - The only serious stupid one, i still believe had we kept him in 07/08 he would have had his best season yet and maybe even the quad, having said that how long would he have carried on with us? if he won the quad he might have left on a high and Roman was getting fed up with the lifeless football we were playing under him. Avram Grant - Rival fans will point to the champions league final, Chelsea fans however will point too shocking tactics that lost us 10 points in injury time, lost us the carling cup final, got us knocked out of the FA Cup against Barnsley when the other big boys were out and while it was not his fault Terry slipped it was his fault that game went to pens in the first place. All that i have not even mentioned his horrendus man management that got half the squad considering their futures. Big Phil Scolari - What has not been said? he was out of his depth, exposed as a one trick pony by Rafa and never recovered. Guus Hiddink - Was a caretaker, had no intention of staying full time and made it clear from day one. Carlo Ancelotti - Rival fans will point to the double, and while i was one of Carlo's biggest backers on this forum and wanted him to be given another season to recover the performances and tactics last season were dire, leaving a hungry Sturridge on the bench, persisting with off form players and the one that annoyed me the most naming teams in pre match press conferences gave the opponents a upper hand. Yes i wanted Carlo another season to rectivy it but if he didn't it would have got worse. So looking at the bigger picture is the 7 in 7 statistic really that bad? not saying Andre has not got a big challenge ahead of him but Roman is not as trigger happy as some like to believe.
  22. Makes a change from Carlo, as any-one knows i was as much behind Carlo as any Chelsea fan but his habit of naming the team 2 days before the game had me screaming at the tele.
  23. At the Bridge i would say yes but its a bit risky to do it up there, how many times have Arsenal tried that game at The Brit and came back red faced?
  24. Some of my fav's in this http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/2641675.stm gem back in 2003 about how England will be world beaters in Euro 2008. Make of this what you will.
