Zola's number 25 aint been officially retired (well no annoncement of it anyway) its just never been used.

Football will be in a much better state if there was more Lukaku's and less Neymar's
-
A debut goal infront of the Matthew Harding stand will be awesome

Why can't we just sign him and gradully blood him in, if Mata signs and get's injured were back to square one (IE Malouda)
-
We need to wrap Hilario up in cotton wool the next few weeks, the thought of being left with Turnbull is giving me nightmares.
-
We aint their rivals tho not anymore, we are a title challenging side and they are a top 6 team, Villa, Everton, Stoke are their rivals now.

Liverpool don't know the meaning of the word debate, unless you tell them Jenny is god and Andres Henderson, Adam Hernandez, Lionel Suarez and Didier Carroll are going to rule europe they cry.
-
What i find hilarious is that Torres gets branded a mercanry for leaving a team that cannot get into europe for a team that challenges for honours yet Joe Cole gets widely praised for a wise career move despite ditching the double winners for a team in europa (for more money). Why i cannot stand Liverpool is their fans cannot bring themself to accept that this is not the 80's and their team are no longer toast of this country, us, United, Arsenal, City and Spurs have overtook them and Villa and Everton aint that far off doing the same and despite them crying out about Dalgish being their saviour they look further away than ever to winning the title. Torres deserves better players playing with him than Henderson, Lucas, Carroll, Downing, Enrique and co, how many chances did Torres give Liverpool to say match my ambitions? eventully he lost patience and given who they have signed since he has left (Suarez aside) he was more than right to leave. Not only do Liverpool fail to match his ambition's they get rid of the few players they had in Torres ability, Alonso, Mascerano for example and even coming to the end Reina was refusing to rule out leaving aswell, Torres deserves better than that, Liverpool are getting second rate english players while we have spent all summer trying to/have brought to bring in Pastore, Falcao, Lukaku, Aguero, Turan, Sanchez, Mata, Hazard and brought Luiz in the same day as El Nino, the difference in class to who Jenny longball is bringing in is massive. Liverpool fans can point to the 80's and how they are bigger than us historically, but right now we are a much better propisition than Liverpool and can offer better standard of football and that's what hurt's them and what they are struggling to accept is right now they are the 6th best team in England and judging by their summer signing's they have that mentaility aswell.

What like when he came in against Barca kept a clean sheet then followed it up with 2 more in the next 3 games? Yes ok he may be no number one but he is more than an adequate backup.
-
So glad he is ours, would have kicked myself if i ever saw him in a Arsenal or Madrid shirt.

:goodpost: ive been defending Hilario up against a brick wall for years, getting unfairly slated for the City game been more than reasonable deputy in the past, only worry is he get's injured and we are stuck with Turnbull but even if that happens and were 2 keepers down we will be able to get a emergency goallie anyway.
-
can' t be any worse then who we have had recently
-
Seeing us play with geniune width again will be soooooooooooooo good
-
No thanks i prefer Anelka passing sideways and Malouda's shooting from 40 yards
-
I know i dont know how to spell his name and cant be fucked to check.
-
Stats like that are pointless, IE Ivanovic scored more goals in half a hour (against Spartak) than Rooney did in 8 months or Ivanovic scored more goals in his first hour against Liverpool than Gerrard ever has against Chelsea.
-
Unless De Gea improves before United go there, Delap will have some serious fun and possibly a boost to his assist list.

I don't get why some people are hating on Stoke, they may not play the best football in the world but they play to their strenghts and their resources to get the best results possible, if they played an open you shoot, we shoot with us we would beat them 6-0 every time atleast and after what we did to them the year before last at The Bridge is it any wonder they are cautious against us? Stoke (along with Wigan) are living proof that it is possible to go up and compete and i respect them for that. If you dont like them thats tough because they are staying around for a very long time. Don't understand why any-one is that pessismistic about this game, result was disapointing but there are certainly some positive signs to go into this season, also we still have Sturridge and Luiz to return, Ivan to start playing, Lukaku and Romeu to come in and that's even without mentioning a possible couple more signing's.

He has survived 5 managers not including Andre so they must see something we don't. Either way atleast he gives his all on the pitch so i can forgive any lack of abilty if they give there all, which makes me angry at the player on the other side of the "wing" at Stoke. Even tho i like him using Wenger and Kalou's mutual admiration to sweeten a Nasri deal sounds tempting.
-
Last few season's we have stood still a bit granted, but i think were slowly heading in the right direction and the summer signing's prove that. If we can sign that creative player and winger (Nasri and Hazard and ill be Roman and Andre's salve for 6 monthS) and imho we should be favroites, no-one is giving us a chance but no-one gave Andre's Porto a chance last season at this time. Next year there be another step in the right direction, Anelka and most likely Malouda wil finally be off the wage bill and it would not have come a day to soon.

Brown and O Shea were still decent squad players that would fill in and never dis-apoint, Hargreavs and Neville may not have played that much but they were still key figures in the dressing room. Also i don't think they are as strong defensively, Rio and Vidic ain't the same as they were in 2008 and a few years back they had VDS one of the best keepers around with Kuzsack and Foster (two proven premier goallie's as back up) now they have the nervous De Gea with Lindegard (who even the great dane said aint good enough to be number one) and Amos (who didn't even imprese in league one) as back up. A few injuries could leave them looking thin and say Rio and Vidic have similar injury problems to JT and Alex last season could Smalling, JOnes, De Gea and Cleverly really turn it around when the chips are down? They won it last season because every one else was shit more than anything else, this year imo they are there for the taking just depends on whether there is a team that could grab the opportunity by both hands, if Fergie was not incharge i would have said they don't stand a chance.
-
Sorry but i can't agree with that. 3 players (all with not one single CL game between them may i add) have came in and 6 very expierenced players have gone out (Brown, O Shea, Scholes, VDS, Neville, Hargreavs). remember what happened to us when we tried a similar squad cutting exercise last season? Also not forgetting VDS single handedly won United 15 points last season atleast, can you really see De Gea doing the same? this season anyway.

Considering what we did to Stoke 16 months ago is it any suprise they don't attack us? This is Andre's chance to make a real statement, drop the under-performing players off last week so that Cole, Lamps, Malouda and Kalou OUT Bertrand, McEachran, Benayoun and Anelka IN. Im hoping Foster get's a early red card, Marton Fulop in goal at The Bridge again is a very attractive proposition. my team: Cech, Bosingwa, Alex, Terry, Bertrand, McEachran, Ramires, Mikel, Benayoun, Anelka, Torres.
