I havent commented for a couple of weeks because ive been away and could not be bothered to sign in but i had too here. I cannot believe anyone thinks United have strenthened that much, 6 good squad players have gone and been replaced by one good expierenced(ish) player and two young untested youngsters (and to say De Gea has looked shaky in pre season is a understatement) remember what happened to us last season when we tried a similar squad cutting exercise? As for Liverpool to say they will worry us is quite honestly laughable, just because Dalglish was succesful in the 80's dont mean jack shit now, there team are not good enough, if Arbeloa, Alonso, Mascerano, Gerrard at his peak, Riise and Torres could not deliever the title do you honestly think Johnson, Henderson, Adam, a past it Gerrard, Downing and Carroll will? Would not matter if Jose is incharge, Liverpool just aint good enough have they conceded less than 3 goals in a pre season match yet? they drew 3-3 to Valerenga reserves (and even their first team is 11th in their league) lost 3-0 to Hull and Galatasaray and let in 3 against Malasia and some other shower aswell. Liverpool if they are extremely lucky and i mean very lucky MIGHT by the skin of their teeth get top 4 but they are not a threat to us or the title what so ever.

Kalou will never be a starter and i think the likes of Clifford will be around aswell as atleast squad players. To be succesfull and dominant we need to get the mix right between youth and signings like Barca do.

Instead of using 2 different teams for two half's how about one team one game and another team the next, give them more time to play together and will give Bertrand and Van Aanholt a full half instead of 20 minutes each.

Can we take the batteries out with all the pessimism from the 2 pre season games? Yes they were not ideal performances and yes if we play like that in the premier league we are in serious shit but lets be realistic its not as simple as that, we will dip into the market at some point with what Andre's saying i personally think he has a couple of hidden gems lined up, and pre season can never be a true reflection on how our season will go (especially not 2 games). Does any one remember's Jose's first pre season match? a 1-1 draw at Oxford and at times Oxford has us on the ropes, if we played like that all season we would have gone down but we didn't we improved and won the league at a canter. We get slated for only scoring one against these but i would be more worried if we let in 3 and won 5-3 or something. Things will improve KTF

Say Torres scores 2 goals all next season and that is the winner at Anfield that wins us the league and the winner against Man.Utd in Munich for the CL, would those 2 moments alone make him money well spent?

Villa and Rooney went months without scoring last season why did no-one say they were finished? I think the performances were overstated a bit because of the price tag and the goals, his movement was actually pretty good and he does free up space for over attackers, apart from United away in the CL i don't think he was THAT bad before he scored, ironically it was after the West Ham goal he started to produce some stinkers. TBH if he only scores one goal next season and that the winner at Anfield that wins us the league that alone would be worth £50m.

I would'nt go that far, he did ok in his first couple of season it was just Lamps, Robben, Terry, Gallas, Crespo J.Cole and Duff were all chipping in with their fair share of goals aswell, in 06/07 only Lamps out of that group were still scoring J.Cole got injured all season, Duff, Crespo and Gallas left and Robben and Terry's goals dried up which meant Drogs has more responsibility which he took superbly.
