While Malouda has not been at his best for a year i find it quite disturbing the amount of hate he gets. Yes want him off the team if he is not performing, yes if you think he does not offer as much as more want him sold and yes crisise him if he aint performing but all this hate befounds me. Do you remember Malouda during Hiddink's spell, the double winning season and the start of 10/11, he was fantastic and really something to behold. It's a shame he gets so much hate and while sadly he will probally never make that standard again he has still contributed a lot down the years and i would imagine he can still get about 10 goals this year. He may not be on form for a place in the team now but i certainly am not going to let one average year cloud over the good things Malouda has given this club.

well my way of thinking is i can forgive any lack of ability if they put effort in. Anyway i can remeber something when Kalou first joined don't know how much truth there is in it but i might aswell mention it now while i remember, apparently if Crespo left sooner than he did Kalou would have got the number 9 shirt. thoughts?

Is it me or have some members disappeared after MOTM nominations? Spuz has not been seen since he got nominated back in April i think now lionsden and styles have seemed to have gone from the face of the earth.

GIving Lukaku his full debut at Old Trafford is too dangerous, lets give him time Arsenal rush young players in too quickly and destroy them.

Its been said you need atleast one on form forward to win trophies but with us since Roman has came, bar 2 Didier Drogba unbelievable season's, we have never had a forward bang on top his game week in week out season after season, like Henry or Van Nisseroy. Press say we are over reliant on Drogba but our record without him has been pretty impressive, its only really Arsenal for obvious reason's we feel his loss to a great extent. Infact in 2009/2010 we had a 100% record in games he did not play in and spanning between January 2009 and October 2010 we infact were without Drogba for 20 games, winning 18 and averaging 3 goals a game in those matches. Infact our last day defeat at Everton last season was the first time we got beat in a match Drogba was not involved in since Arsenal beat us 2-1 at The Bridge back in 2008. Don't get me wrong Drogba has been a fantastic player for us and a club legend but we have not rellied on him as much as the press would like us to believe. But reading some guys comment on youtube got me thinking, he said basically every-one is a forward in this team (not litrally but you get his point) but thiking about that he has a point, during the years we have been lucky enough to rely on near enough the whole team to chip in with goals. The main thing is the group. Jose's back to back winning title season's we did not really have a fully firing forward while Arsenal and Manchester United still had Theirry Henry and Ruud Van Nisseroy getting 25 plus goals in the season, more often that not that would show but unlike those 2 teams we had goals all over the pitch. John Terry, William Gallas and Ricardo Carvalho were chipping in with over the average number of goals for a centre half, Frank Lampard as usual was getting 20 goals from centre midfield and Arjen Robben, Damien Duff and Joe Cole were scoring often from the wing. Didier Drogba, Eidur Gudjohnsen and Hernan Crepso (Crespo was only here for one of those season's) while were chipping in with a good number of goals it's fair to say they were not challenging Henry or Van Nisseroy for the golden boot but did they care when they were lifting the title at SB? not a chance. Since then our ability to get goals all over the pitch has always made up for not having a 30 goal every season forward, infact the only season there wasn't frequent goals across the pitch (06/07) Drogba had one of his two unbelievable season's and got us 33 goals and when the two (on form forward and goals all over the pitch) both happened in the same season it resulted in a record breaking goal haul in Carlo's first season. Last season none of our forward were on form but goals from all over the pitch saved our season to a extent and got us second place. Our ability to get goals from anywhere on the pitch has always been a key strengh off ours that has not been mentioned enough, and i don't see that ending any time soon. Here are our players that will chip in with goals and i have even missed out our forwards. - Sturridge even as a winger will chip in with goals and Mata has already shown us he will get his fair share. - Frank Lampard for all his knockers will get atleast 10 goals for the next 2-3 seasons even if he gets his role lessered, we should do well to remember that despite having his worse season with us last year and being injured for 4 months he still got us 13 goals. - Malouda and Kalou despite their critics should still get around 8-10 goals and i fully expect Raul Meireles to do the same. - Terry has a great tally for a defender and also David Luiz and Ivanovic will score a few this season aswell. - Ash on a good season will chip in with about 5 and Bosingwa has the potential to do the same. If we can get Torres and/or Drogba firing then this season then great but having on form forward's is not as vital for us as it is for City and United who's forwards will be their main source of goals this season, we have much more goals in other position's than they do. Even with Torres's goal drought we still have a pretty good win record when he has played and i think we have got more points than any-one else since Torres has arrived in the prem and only 4 of our league goals since then have came from Torres (1), Drogba (2) and Anelka (1). Look at City only 2 of their goals have came from any-one other than Aguero and Dzeko, so they will have to be on form all season. Only 6 of United 19 goals have came from a position other than forward. 8 of our goals already have came from positions other than forward and we have not hit top form like them two teams, 9 if you count Anelka as a winger. It would be great if we can get Drogba back on form, Torres firing or even Lukaku hitting the ground running but unlike any other team in the country we have more than enough goals around the rest of the team to compensate if they don't, something United and City do not have to near the same extent as we do, to cut a story short they need their forward on form all season where we can get away with not having a on form forward due to the goals in the rest of our team, bar Drogba in 2009/2010 and 2006/2007 we have not had a truly on top form forward in the Roman era but have been succesful. The complete opposite to the Torres reliant Liverpool in the Rafa era for example, i bet Torres is happy that he can be off form yet still the results remain good. Goals from all over is a key under-rated strength for us and long may it continue.

Sing when there winning planks 95% of them, their sense of entitlement and arrogance if just baffling. Its a shame because the other 5% of United fans are pretty decent just ruined by the others. I may get slated for this but the way Stoke are progressing they will be knocking on the top 6 door before long.

The fullham penalty was not even a pen, the much malinged Smalling on Zhirkov challenge was more on a pen than that, not that the pro Northwest media would agree. The mistake at OT was not all his fault, Alex has made worse mistakes against lesser opposition since yet no-one picks up on that.

He may be a horrible little twat but would be a excellent singing. Not going to happen so no need to even go there.

Nathan Eccleston facing the boot from Liverpool after 9/11 comments
Tomo replied to Wilson's topic in General Chat
Terry and Morris you could imagine doing that, i never thought Lamps and Eidur would have tho -
Im not saying he aint good but it annoys me when no body seems to mention the silly foul's and penalty's he gives away yet when Luiz makes as much as one mistake he gets villified. Not saying he aint good but he imo he is not this completely solid, nothing gets past him defender the rags like to believe he is, put it this way i would much rather he have been playing then Ferdinand sunday, Rio makes defending look like a piece of piss.

It fucking annoys me how David Luiz is reckless and a accident waiting to happen but Vidic does the same as Luiz but 10 times worse yet he gets widely regarded as the best defender in the world, its pathetic. Luiz may have been a tad fortunate to stay on the pitch one or two times but if ref's had balls Vidic would be off 90% of the time, Vidic has given away just the same amount of pens as Luiz in the same time period. Luiz still has class about him, Vidic's brand of defending is kicking players into thin air, tugging shirts, grabbing hold of players like he is about to bone the shit out of them and handball's. Yes he has made a few mistakes but this is his first half season in the league this is Vidic's 5th yet he still get's exposed more times than the Manc loving media and every one whitewashed by hi brand of defending would have you believe. Luiz gets slated for one mistake at Old Trafford which was not solely his fault, yet wasn't Vidic the one that got skinned silly by Yaya Toure in the FA Cup semi and Eto'o in the CL final 2 years before that? yet no one says anything about that. As for him not playing centre back in a big game? im sorry but did you see the United and City home games? yes he may have been fortunate to stay on against United but i can't remember any clear cut opening's either side created and that was down to Luiz. Also in the Liverpool match although it was only 20 minutes did Liverpool get through us with Luiz on the pitch? Can i also say our most static performances last season came when Luiz was not playing, is it a coinsidence that we looked lively with him in the PL then static even against Copenhagen without him? Also when Carlo scapegoated him at OT (which even as a Carlo fan found that disgracefull) he was dropped then we produced argubally our 2 most dire perfomances of even last season? again it cant be a coinsidence. As i said in the OP there is no 2 ways about it without him in the United and City home games, both teams would have created more chances and i highly doubt we would have broke either side down. Also may i add the made the most interceptions in the whole league last season and he only played half a season, don't let a couple of rash mistakes (the same rash shit gets Vidic and Carragher branded world beaters) he is a class CENTRE HALF who is only going to get better.

Some would say better than Messi

Speaking of the anti Chelsea media we could win 6-1 and they will still find fault infact i imagine something like this will occur. In the brackets is my imput compared to the media's Bout as anti Chelsea as i can think off and sad thing is even if we do pull off that scoreline the rag's match report won't be too far off that.

Fat Ronaldo is the best forward and player ive seen. Back to the topic i just can't see us getting beat. United may have rested some players but they still traveled and we didn't which could have a affect, Luiz has to start who cares about one bad moment litrally moment there last season lightening does not often strike twice and while he can be a bit reckless he most certaintly can defend, why does Luiz get lambusted as a accident waiting to happen but Vidic widely regarded as one of the finest around for doing exactly what Luiz does and more? I think we will get atleast a draw and Andre will do something that will take Fergie by surprise.
-
Sorry guys but im with Zolayes here, to demand to wages on par with the highest earners after the two season's he had was just taking the piss,i still maintain his performance against Cadiff was the worst ive ever seen by a Chelsea player and i could never forget those comments. We made him the player he was and he shitted on us.
-
It's amazing how good his english is after so short time. Back to him being reckless it fucking annoys me when people use that as a excuse to say he cannot defend when Vidic does what Luiz does but 10 times worse, if ref's had balls Vidic would get sent off 90% of the time he steps on the field. Also Vidic has made some key cock ups in big games before, letting Eto's and Toure past him so easy in the CL final and FA Cup semi prime examples, while Luiz can be a bit reckless sometimes atleast he has class about him, Vidic version of defending is kicking players into thin air, handball's that Suarez would be proud off and tugging shirts back of any player with skill or pace. It annoys me that Luiz get's labelled a accident waiting to happen but Vidic is 10 times more clumsy than Luiz yet gets branded the best defender in the world for it, its a joke. I dont think i have ever seen a defender or even a player as horrendusly over-rated as Vidic in my life. rant over but had to be said.
-
Speaking of Davd Luiz its pathetic the amount of stick he gets for rash challenges, yes he makes a few but Vidic makes more rash challenges but gets widely regarded as the best defender in the league its pathetic.

Tricky game ended with a routine win, can't ask for much more tbh.

Hiddink and Mourinho should never return in any capacity
Tomo replied to Tomo's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Agree to most extent but i don't think it should be the case with all managers. Say you buy a club that has Rafa in charge, given his ratio of one excellent signing to 10 shit one's im not sure i would be happy to say here you are Rafa £100m buy who you like. -
Im seriously worried about Ballack, he will be up for this and you only need to look at the end of 07/08 to see what how good he is when he is up for it.
-
Hopefully we won't have this talk in the manager's side for a long time with Andre as coach now but depite the fact i will always be thankful for what they did during their time at the club i hope these two never return in any capacity. Why? well they both have left fantastic legacy's in the club which if they ever return it does not have the desired affect it will be ruined, if Andre stays for over a decade which if given time i think he could Hiddink will be retired by the time he leaves but Jose will still be around knocking on the door i think we should slam it shut. You only need to look no further than Ancelotti, has he left after the double season he will foerever be remembered in Kings Road as the guy who won us the Double in swash buckling style and nothing else, now he seems to get more remembered as the guy who was stubborn, would not drop the big names and produced dire performances in 10/11. I know the timing off this thread is a bit off but i was wondering your views, i personally believe Jose and Guus have left such impressive legacy's that it would be a shame and to be quite frank pretty gutting if they return in whatever capacity and don't do as well which will taint the legacy thet created. In my view we should never put that on the line ever. thoughts?

Happy birthday, been out all day so sorry im late with it

If Mourinho pulls off La Liga and CL with Real Madrid i can see him leaving, he would have won everything possible their and PSG could quite easily be his next port of call. As TX said he will have unlimited funds to mould the team his way, they will be clear fav's for the title each year and he will be able to add yet another domestic league honour to his CV.

Have to agree, he is a good user who is not afraid to voice his opinion, does occasionaly go over the top but he is hardly the only user that has done that in the past, all in all TC would be a poorer place without him.
