  1. These are answers, if you still wanna do it don't read them
  2. We can get away with it, apart from Drogba 06/07 and 09/10 have we ever had a fully firiing forward in the Roman era? We have enough goals from everywhere on the pitch IMO. We still have a chance of the title, all be it a slim one, Liverpool beat City and we do the same then who knows? I don't agree about our top 4 place being under threat tho, over the course of a season Tottenham are just not consistent enough and Liverpool are not good enough. The only team other than Manc C and Manc U that stand a chance of finishing above us are LE Arse. Top 4 will be as you were again.
  3. IMO we desperately need a marketing campaign in the close season even if that means stalling the next season for a couple of weeks. The last one we had (which got me, Thatcher and Sinise amounst others involved) the following season was quite active but it's been reletively quiet lately, the 14 week season last time out didn't help. We have lost some good managers in Sinise, Matsej, Thatcher, Clevemer, Steve, Sloth and Shane who were all pretty active (all be it the first too will be back eventully) so IMO we need to replace them with other willing managers.
  4. ^ bit off topic sh0n3x but that is a fantastic sig.
  5. It use to be on the top where we comment not sure where it's gone tho If you can't find the spoiler don't worry about answering in spoliers mate
  6. Alex did make a few mistake's yesterday, he looks a bit rusty right now but if he can get back on top form it will be a fantastic boost for us no doubt. But for Liverpool however we must play Ivan-Luiz-Terry-Cole, the high line against Suarez will be hard enough with Luiz and his pace, without it would be suicide. Hopefully Ivan is first choice RB now, he doesn't convince me in the centre yet on the right he might aswell have a sign on his head to the left sided wingers saying no way through here fuck off.
  7. Bit of a slow day so i thought ill come up with a Chelsea quiz, rep for any one who takes it 1. Which season was the last season Chelsea won a penalty against Arsenal? (extra point for the month). 2. Who took (and scored) the corresponding spot kick? 3. When was the last time Chelsea lost a 3 o clock kick off at Stamford Bridge? 4. Who were the opponents? 5. How many times have Chelsea blew a 2 goal lead in the Abramovic era? 6. Which year was the last time Chelsea came from 2 down to win? (this answer is pretty depresing ) 7. Who was the first player to score past Henrique Hilario when he (Hilario) played for Chelsea? 8. How old was Eidur Gudjohsen when he signed for Chelsea? 9. How many times on the trot did Chelsea beat Liverpool at The Bridge before Bruno Cherou got the winner here in 2004? 10. Who scored our first goal of the 01/02 season? Answers in spoilers please
  8. There really is no words to sum up just how good Cech is. It annoys me when people jump on the bandwagon of, he has never been the same since his injury, he will never be as good as Schmeicel, Seaman etc etc when near enough all the facts/stats say otherwise.
  9. There are some areas that need improving and the title will be a big ask now but i cannot honestly see Tottenham and especially Liverpool hurting us over 38 games.
  10. We have played a lot worse than this in recent season's. We won't fall out of the top 4 i can assure you, we will atleast finish 3rd or at worse 4th behind Arsenal. Liverpool and Spurs are not good enough to challenge us over the course of a season. When were on a mini bad run tbh it's best to just get the 3 points and run, clean sheet aswell, Bosingwa out, something to build on.
  11. Tough one, im suprised bad boy hasn't got a nomination yet as he has been pretty active this month. Ill go for badboy, thankyou for my nomination's tho, much appreicatied.
  12. Wins a win, United are hardly looking convincing either, they needed a convienent own goal by Wes Brown to win.
  13. AVB is rotating and making use of (most) of his resources. Only 4 survivors from Genk show that.
  14. Ivanovic should have been kept at RB for good after 2009/2010 when he was solid there all season. Luiz should play when fit, with JT and Alex getting rotated IMO. Also given how they both like to play with the ball on their feet and im the only one that can see AVB going for a Bruma and Luiz partnership long term?
  15. We moan when Andre doesn't mix the team and we moan when he does, poor guy can't win.
  16. Looks like my lil joke got rumbled pretty quickly
  17. Teams out look's like AVB has sprung some suprises not sure what's happened to Cech. Hilario, Bosingwa, Ivanovic, Terry, Ferreira, Mikel, Lampard, Malouda, Anelka, Torres, Kalou.
  18. I felt for him (and Lamps) when Van Persie scored the 4th. Neither deserved that!!
  19. Lets just say this sure puts losing to Arsenal into prespective.
  20. The spine of Cech, Terry, Lampard and Drogba has been hugely succesful between 2004-2010 but last season especially shows that maybe it is time to develop a new spine in this team and maybe the players to do it are staring us in the face already. Petr Cech As you were in goal, at only 29 years of age he has got atleast another 8 years in him and IMO when on form he is the best in the buisness. David Luiz Given our defensive problems this season the fact that we have only conceded twice from open play in the 8 games he has played this season is all the more impressive. Say what you like about his so called rashness but he isn't the first defender that is like that every now and again and we are so much more solid when he does play. Another Luiz fact: Old Trafford in May aside, we have not let in more than one goal in a match Luiz has played in for Chelsea. Oriol Romeu Im not a Mikel hater but this guy is on another planet, so cool and composed and taylor made for the way AVB wants to play. As the United and especially Arsenal game showed he (and Luiz) are a must for big games. On the down note his return to Barca is almost inevitable but it won't happen until at worst the season after next, with an luck by then, Conor Clifford (who will be 22) will be ready for a like for like replacement and slowly replace JT as the club captian. Juan Mata Anything he can't do? it's clear he is too good to just play on the wings, he can create from anywhere and is just as effective in the centre (IE his pass to Cole who played in Danny against Everton and his pass to Torres against Swansea). Danny Sturridge Lukaku won't be ready for a good few years and Torres is 27 and given his injury record its unlikely he will be the main forward after he is 30, Danny seems the most viable option as he is young, hungry and got a proven goal scoring record. thoughts?
  21. Just a thought the high line actually works when Luiz plays, looking back at the Levekusen and Valencia games they didn't cause us that many problems, infact Kalou's moment of madness was the only reason we conceded in those 2 at-all. Our most solid defensive displays have came in the Carling Cup and especially the Champions League and take 2 guesses who has palyed all off them?
  22. Just found out one of my mates witnessed the accident but thankfully was not in that wrong place at that wrong time.
  23. Can't believe any one is calling for his head. It was bad when some were doing it with Carlo but now..... We might have had a few bad results but already AVB has significantly reduced the average age of the the starting players, got us playing great football (the first 30 minutes at Bolton were an absolute delight), broke our Everton hoodoo not once but twice, got Lampard and Torres playing well again, brought in Juan Mata (IMO our best signing since Cech and Drogba), has done what most of this forum have dreamt off and frozen out Kalou and has done something we were all begging Carlo to do for nearly 2 years (make Sturridge a reguarlar). Yes i do wish we would see less off Bosingwa and more of Josh and Romeu and i was devestated losing at home to Arsenal but all in all i am delighted with the work AVB and RDM have done so far. We sack him and he will dominate at another club (maybe even Man.City), we let him do thing's his way and give him time then we will dominate English football (City appointing Mourinho a worry) i have no doubt whatsoever.
  24. It will cost us even more if we sack him bring in Rafa who will leave us witha squad of expensive flops out of Europe altogether.
