Cleverly is 22.

Cole has been useless for lately, regardless of whether or not he is fit for Wolves he should be in the stands. Malouda and Drogba (who bar the goal did nothing) should be in the stands (dire display from both). Torres has done nothing lately to warrant a start so he can stay on the bench, Anelka has been out best forward bar Danny this season so he can go up top for Wolves. Lampard has been poor the last 2 games, not to the dire extent others have but its time to put him back on that bench to make it clear his place his not safe by any means, that way we might get more of the 6 weeks we got from him prior to the internatinal break. Terry, love him is our captain but has been dire lately, on the bench. Alex although he was poor when he came on deserves a shot as he has not been given much chances lately. Ivanovic played today and midweek, never thought i would say this but Bossy was pretty impressive tonight so deserves a start at the weekend on merit. On a more positive note David Luiz and Danny Sturridge were WORLD CLASS tonight. team for wolves ---------------------Cech--------------------- Bosingwa----Alex------Luiz-------Bertrand ----------------------Romeu------------------ ------------Ramires----------Meireles------ Sturridge--------------------------------Mata ---------------------Anelka-------------------- SUBS: Hilario, Ivanovic, Terry, Lampard, McEachran, Lukaku, Torres. Lets hope Malouda,Terry and Drogba (Lampard to a lesser extent) will then return to the team against Liverpool or at St James Park chomping at the bit with a point to prove.

next time any one thinks he is a liabilty please watch this match again in full.
-
Next time any one thinks David Luiz is a liability, watch this match again in FULL.
-
The goal was Luiz's fault he is too sloppy and should be DM Oh wait
-
SO after a pretty solid defensive display for 65 minutes David Luiz goes off, 5 minutes later our defence are all over the place and concede What a liability
-
Sturridge is too gready, he only plays for himself
-
Im genuinanly suprised im top to be honest, i have had a couple of bad results this month.
-
Got to admit im not to keen on that lineup. Lamps and JT should have been rested and Alex should have been in.
-
He gave away a lot of free kicks on the egde off the penalty area and passed the ball straight to Rooney once for a United goal, should have been tried in defensive midfield.
-
Sturridge (22), Mata (23), Rami and Luiz (24)???? Notice Fergie 'Andres; Cleverly and 'Hernan' Welbeck out on loan before he gave them the chance, atleast McEachran is in and around matchday squad's where the fuck was Cleverly at 18 or even 21? Hernandez is a awfull footballer, all he does is stand around and wait the ball to hit him in the face, has he ever skinned a player? we bash Kalou for "only scoring tap ins" and that's exactly what Hernandez does.
-
I still miss Jimmy Floyd, if there was ever a big game player it was him. His scoring record against United and Liverpool (for Chelsea and Leeds) easily rivals Drogba's against Arsenal.
-
to be fair Gronkjear and Zenden had me banging my head against a brick wall more often than Kalou and Malouda do.

Newcastle finished 3rd god knows how that Newcastle team were shite (Shearer and Given aside) just goes to show how much of a genius Sir Bobby Robson was, i mean seriously who else could get a team with Bramble, Bernand, Hughes, Dyer, Jenas and Robert regually in the top 4 it was ridicolous. I'd go as far as saying he (Sir Bobby) would have won us the title even pre Roman. Our team back then was a match for anyone in a one off match, Liverpool and United found that out numerous times only really Arsenal seemed to have the beating off us back then, it depresses me that quite a few legends of our club suffered against those twats. Didn't have the depth to challenge properly for the league title but if we got better luck against Barca in 1999 maybe we could have done what Liverpool did in 05, lets be honest our team pre Roman was better than that Greece mark 2 fluke show XL.
-
So Lampard, Malouda, Anelka and Drogba have started every match they have been avalible this season? Kalou wasn't taken off after 36 minutes?
-
Sturridge could not get into a pre Sheikh City squad let alone team at 18. Just saying.

I have so much i want to say on this topic and when i mean much i mean to the extent that i will most likely be here till christmas if i say everybit i need to say so i will try and keep this as brief as humanly possible. Things have not gone exactly to plan no, but are you seriously telling me you prefered the shit we were in last season to now? we were all begging for a creative player last summer, we now have Mata and to a lesser extent Meireles. We were all crying when we thought Sturridge would never get a chance and eventually leave, he is now a regular, thriving and IMO behind Rooney the best striker England have right now. We were all cursing last season when Carlo would not rotate and drop underperforming players, AVB has done that numerous times this season. We wanted the average age of our squad slashed down, AVB has done that. RDM has been bring back aswell. If we were offered all of those things above this time last year we would have snapped the guys hand off and thanked god for loving Chelsea. Will AVB going and Hiddink coming in solve all our problems? no, it might give us a short term buzz (might being the key word) but long term is not the answer Hiddink will be 70 in a few years FFS and although he is a great manager he is not superman, he could not prevent Turkey getting smashed at home by Croatia for crying out loud, whats to say he would have prevented us losing yesterday or to Arsenal? We are playing better football, the first 30 minutes at Bolton especially was a delight. Arsenal a couple of years ago showed that a bad record against competitive rivals might cost you a chance of the title but it alone won't cost you a top 4 place. What we are better at doing than Spurs, Liverpool and Arsenal is "sweeping up" against the "lesser sides" which is what will keep us above them and in the top 4 even if we don't beat a competitive rival all season (like Arsenal didn't in 2009/2010). The comparision's with Scolari are just stupid. You could say the record against the top teams which yes it's true to a extent but performance levels are otherwise, under Big Phil we deserved to lose all the big games this season it could quite easily have gone the other way. Under Big Phil was the only time in the Roman era we were not "sweeping up" against "lesser sides" at The Bridge, teams like West Ham, Newcastle (when they were shit), Tottenham (when they were shit), Southend and Burnley were coming to The Bridge and not only holding us but doing it with ultimate ease even Stoke had the easiest 88 minutes of their life until somehow we popped up with 2 injury time goals. Right now we don't seem to be having that problem under AVB. Also lets remember Scolari took over a team at the peak off their powers, AVB has took over us after pound for pound our worst season for a long long time. As for us not finishing in the top 4 please stop over-reacting and take a quick look at the table on March 1st last season and compare it to May. In 2001/2002 christmas time Manchester United were 9th, just saying. 7 teams won a league match at Old Trafford that season (including Chelsea, Liverpool AND Arsenal). United then are in a similar position to us now, again just saying. rant over, have a good night,
-
Correct me if im wrong but in 2001/2002 they were 9th by Christmas, so i think there top 4 position was in jepoardy that season to be brutally honest.
-
The summer Joe Cole left we would have all choose Malouda to stay out of the 2, Flo MO just had a outstanding season (especially at the end) while Joe Cole did sod all season, had Malouda left that summer instead of Joe we would have all kicked up merry hell.

What i find hilarious but irritating at the same time is Liverpool fan's refusal to accept that this is not the 80's any more, i have so many arguments on youtube with Scousers, i should'nt really sink to their level but i just cannot help myself. They accuse us and United fans of being plastics and gloryhunters then in the same sentance go on about how succesful they were are, one way to make youself look like a complete hypocrite in one sentance. We beat them this sunday it will be another 3 points, they beat us and it will be wild world cup win like celebrations again like last seaon, Arsenal and Spurs fans do exactly the same thing, not being funny but do you celebrate like you won the world cup against clubs that you think you are superior too? TBH im happy for them with Kenny's appointment, a washed up manager living on former glory's managing a washed up club living on former glory's, the perfect match really.
-
He makes a fair few mistakes in those games aswell, i hate singiling out players (im one of the few that doesn't bash Kalou well to the extent most do) but those stats cannot be a unlucky coinsidence, maybe a year ago we could have said so when he played only 5 or 6 against them and they were all under Scolari but AVB and Carlo have both played him in big games with the same results.
-
Best possible line up -----------Cech------------ Ivan---Luiz--Terry--Cole -----------Romeu--------- ------Meireles/Ramires-- --------Lampard---------- Danny/Nico---------Mata ----------Drogba---------- Worst lineup that AVB could name -----------------Cech---------------- Bosingwa---Ivan---Terry-----Cole -----------------Mikel----------------- ---------Lampard-----Mata---------- ------------------Anelka-------------- -------------Drogba-----Torres----- I really hope Mikel and Bossy don't start, neither have ever been on the winning side against Liverpool.
-
It should have been the case since 09/10 to be honest, i can only think of 2 games (ironically both at Old Trafford) where he has had a bad game in that position.
-
Since 2004 we have lost against Liverpool, United and Arsenal 10 times in 13 with Bosingwa and 8 times in nearly 50 without him
