Chelsea Opposition Scout Report: Liverpool
Tomo replied to CareFreeChronic's topic in Chelsea Articles
Looks like tommy10 has some serious competition in the reps/post's record On a serious note good report pleasure to read as always -
True LDN bout football changing but their is also a mental side to it aswell, IE if Jose came back in 20 years to manage us with Didier as assistant we would probally beat Arsenal even if they had a superior side. ALthough smasing the Scousers twice will put a end to all that.
-
Kenny's record against us is worrying, only 1 loss in 21 as player or manager and that was when he was Newcastle manager.
-
will he even quit if Turkey pull of the unthinkable?
-
Last season i signed a 29 year old 7 rated forward for less than 200,000 econ, he is now 8 rated. Try and look for that type, won't do much long term but will be ok for the next 3-4 season's.

I'd say we throw a spanner in the works and play Drogba over Torres. Liverpool expect and want Torres to play, they know how he works playing Drogba over him would throw a huge spanner in it, Carragher and Agger will SHIT THEMSELF,AVB should start him, give him a massive pep talk something along the lines off "show us why you were the most feared forward in world football and why you should play for me more often" should do the trick. AVB should also watched tapes of our performances every time Bosingwa has played against Liverpool aswell, if Bossy starts i will be in tears.

Thought i better get this in now. For future reference when we have a cup competition away goals DO count double, my public team has just gone through in the cup on away goals.
-
There has been days i haven't felt too great but i have never got too bad thankfully. I had a similar problem once when i had a fit twice when i was 16 and for about 3 years everytime i smelt the cause of it i panicked, convinced myself i was going to pass out again and drunk about a litre of water. Glad to see you're getting better tho mate

Who in the Premier league is missing out on playing next saturday? i am aswell and want a freindly match instead.
-
I was stricken for nearly 2 weeks only just recovered for Christmas in 2008. I remember coming back from playing football, having tea then feeling pretty faint so went up to lie down for a bit woke up a few hours later with the worst headache i have ever had and it lasted about 5 days, tried to go college the next day but lasted one hour then went back home and was in agony for 5 days then slowly the headache went but i was still ill for over a week after that. All in all im pretty lucky with illnesses as that was only one of two times i have been seriously ill since i started high school, the other caused me to miss out on a Chelsea match (although they did end up losing it 4-2 to Charlton). Hope you get better soon mate

wow not good with words so don't know what to say. Thankyou for this award and everyone who voted as i do apreciate the reconition (spelling). Given the fantastic member's on this forum getting on the poll is an achievement in itself but winning it iis just great and the other 4 member's on the poll would have been just as much worthy winners this month aswell.

Maybe in the Liverpool matches at The Bridge we should open up a fake charity and see if Dalglish donates, it worked up Newcastle and Sunderland.
-
Don't worry England if they can contain that midfield they will be rewarded with Fabregas and Mata coming on
-
Im looking forward to the next time he is 'washed up', if we get 4 in 2 again in response.
-
Guus is no superman either, he couldn't prevent Turkey from getting pasted at home by Croatia.
-
Don't get me wrong mate i wasn't having a go at any one.

Due to having one of those 'you won't believe me even if i tell you' weeks i haven't been active much this week so i thought i would return and give reason as to why i am delighted with the work AVB has done for this club so far. Firstly i'd like to say thankyou for all who nominanted and voted for me in the member of the month poll, whether i win it now is irrelevent i appreicate the reconition (spelling). Back to the topic while we are not perfect just yet, yes it would have been nice to see more of Josh and Ryan and yes losing to QPR and Arsenal in succesion is a hard one to take but all in all im delighted with AVB's work so far for many reason's. Sturridge is now a regular Last season he was not getting a look in and we had to see Malouda and Anelka perform dross week in week out and never get dropped despite a young and hungry Danny on the dugout. We were at serious risk of losing him but now he is a regular in our side and on the whole performing well. Lets just remember how much we wanted him to play this time last year? He has signed Juan Mata IMO our best signing since Cech and bar Silva the best player in the whole premierleague, he just ozzes class and is also a fantastic team player. Prime example was when he scored the goal of the month against Arsenal (to make it 3-3) and instead of basking in that personal glory, he ran straight back into position as fast as he could for kick off. He has made us fun to watch again Something we really should not under-estimate, last season (bar the opening 6 weeks when we were on a title rebound) was dire in every sense of the word in terms of the football we were playing, we are now playing good football and even in our loses so far this season we have shown a lot more urgency and desperation to get back in the match than last season. We have also played some serious top class football at times (the first half at The Reebok was a delight), yes we need to improve defensively but that will come when Bosingwa is dropped for Luiz in time. He dropes players and rotates Malouda and Anelka have started 3 league games between them since August, Lampard got dropped and rotated and in turn we are seeing him much more fresh and like the Lamps of old. Kalou has virtually been frozen out something most of you would have loved to have seen last season and he rotates and uses most of his resources avalible to him and keeping players a lot more fresh. The average age in our squad is slowly going down It was slowly becoming a real problem but it is clear AVB is slowly bleeding Drogba, Anelka and Malouda especially out and signing top young players, something we have all been deseprate to see for i don't know how long. He brung back Roberto Di Matteo Enough said Yes there is a few things we need to improve on but all in all i am absolutely delighted so far.

No Rio and Terry = David Villa field day. Back to Lamps tho i swear i hope people write him off more often. He was supposedly finished under Scolari and responded strongly with another 20 goal season. He was supposedly finished in 2009 when he went on a 2 month baron run and he responds by ending the season with 27 goals. He was supposedly finished this September so what does he do? respond with 4 goals in 2 games and is now on 7 for the season, well on the way to another 20. His quote after the Bolton game is one of my fav "i can't pretend im a happy boy when im not playing because i want to earn my money, i will do everything to play for this club". Playing once a week instead of twice seems to have galvanised him, carefull management from AVB and i can honestly see him continuing to bang in the goals for a good few season's yet. To be honest i can't wait for the next time he is "washed up". Heard of less is more?
-
Ill do it whenever im on facebook next
-
Who's made the poll then?
-
If we play Luiz we won't, Valencia and Levekusen are better sides than Liverpool yet we coped on the highline with LUiz playing against them. Even if Liverpool beat us twice again they won't finish above us, we are the better side and it will show after 38 games.
-
your right, how will we finish above a team that have Xavi, Iniesta, Messi and Drogba Adam, Henderson, Downing and Carroll playing week in week out.
-
Who from the other division's is missing out on matchday 6? Does whoever is want a freindly match that day?
-
Drew 2-2 to Krononberg, i always seem to dominate games early on, miss chances then the opposition scores with their first attempt Happened in this fixture last season and away to Blue Bulls, drew 1-1 and lost 0-0 respectively, they between them had 2 shots and i had about 15.
