Agree to some extent Drogba does have to go. I love him as much as the next Chelsea fan but this has to be his last season with us. I admit were not in the title race now, i thought we were at the beggining but i was wrong i love lauding it when i am right so ill have my humble pie for being wrong but having said that i will be stunned if our CL place is under threat over the course of 38 games. The mental side of sport is one that is really under-rated, even tho we were shocking last season when it looked our CL place was under serious threat we pulled our finger out of our arse and made sure it did not happen where-as Spurs crumbled and dropped points against relegation side's (i know we did yesterday but we don't do it often in comparison to Liverpool, Spurs and even Arsenal and that's the difference). If we drop points in January against Swansea, Norwich and co then we should start thinking shit but right now we should just take yesterday as a bad day in the office.

RZA is right, any team struggles when teams play 11 men behind the ball, its a fact how many times have you seen a team park the bus and the opposition still battered them anyway? Look at Jose's first season at the club, we played a relegation threatened Birmingham side at Stamford Bridge in the prem (i was there that day), Bruce put 11 men behind the ball in the first half and we were reduced to ONE shot in a dire first half and that was when we were at our peak. Infact Birmingham took a smash and grab lead in that one Pandiani scoring it luckily Drogba scored late on to save us, but the point im trying to make is we were at our peak back then but struggles against a team that put everyone behind the ball. Infact Tottenham did exactly the same that season and came away with a 0-0. Arsenal's "invincibles" fell foul to numerous bore draws that season because of teams parking everyone behind the ball. I know it's not the same but when i use to play sunday league i played for one of the best side's which meant team's playing 11 men behind the ball alot and believe me although we were miles better it was bloody hard trying to break them down, just as often as not we didn't manage it. So i don't think we can be blamed for failing to create many chances against a side that parked 11 men behind the ball, it's not unusual to strugle in those circumstances.

Look we knew what we were getting when we appointed AVB. The best case was the Porto momentum carried on, worst case is not far off what has happened so far but even with that (long term atleast) things are not too bad. Yes yesterday was disapointing but if were honest it is the first time we have really chucked away stupid points this season. Arsenal, Liverpool and United is hardly chucking away points as there big matches, Stoke away likewise and QPR we were robbed but still outplayed the R's with 2 less men. Sometimes we just need to take a step back and think hold on a minute this time last year we would have bitten gods hand off for a player of the class of Juan Mata, we would have also bitten gods hand off for Danny Sturridge to get a proper chance and Kaloudanelka getting dropped and having their game time at a bare minimum. Hand on heart if those 3 situation's were offered to you this time last year would you have complained? If we were going into this season with the squad at the peak of their powers off the back of a treble season (IE Rafa at Inter) then yes AVB will deserve all the stick we could throw at him but in reality that is not the case AVB took over a in general well fed squad of internatinal "superstars" and has to do 3 years worth of rebuilding. Yes despite the double in 2009/2010 i do believe the rebuilding process should have started after Moscow or at the very least the year later (Hiddink said just as much). We just have to sit tight and see how this evolves, if we have shown no sign's of progression in 2 years then lets doubt AVB but right now im just happy to see a bit of energy, pace and creativity in the side (in comparision to last season).

I no Carlo hater (far from it) but i think we in general have forgotten just how horrific the football was last season. I wanted Carlo to have one more season to fix it but their is no getting away from it, last season was rigic, static and horrible to watch.

Yes lets sack AVB and give Malouda and co "another chance". http://forum.talkchelsea.net/topic/11771-10-reasons-to-be-delighted-with-avb-so-far/page__p__320303#entry320303

Bosingwa's good at running down the wing in a striaght line, he can't cross for shit. Obviously their are exeptions like his ball to Malouda against WBA but all in all no. Ironically i think he is a better LB than RB.
-
Spurs are a good team don't get me wrong but we are seriously over-rating them. Remember when we went to The Lane last year on horrific form but still dominated the game. Mata and Danny are too of the most on form players in the league and are up against 2 full backs who are dodgy defensively to put it nice. I said before the game at The Lane last year we will do ok when every one around me was over-reacting and predicting a 3-0 loss at best and ill say it again we will do fine, if we can beat City we can certainly beat these.

Nani, Young and Valencia are just as inconsistent and frustrating as some of ours. I watch United sometimes at some of the stuff those 3 do and i think to myself if they were Chelsea players ill be screaming at the tele. Mata and Danny without doubt are streets ahead in terms of consistency. Your right about things going downhill since last season, personally i think the double brought the "oldies" more time and the back to back 6-0's at the start of the season convinced all of us there was no need to spend. Personally for next season's team i think we need to establish which players from the current side are cut out to play for a top side and build around that, so for me its. ---------------Cech--------------- Ivan------JT------Luiz------Ryan ---------------Oriol---------------- ---------Ramires---?????------- Danny------------------------Mata ---------------?????-------------- I think we need to slowly bleed Terry out and Josh in, we need to sign 2 wingers (Hazard and Gotze will have me dribbling). Basically we need to return to the old blue print, young, hungry players determined to suceed.
-
Ivan will take care of Bale, Romeu likewise with VDV while Mata and Danny will murder their fullbacks. The only worry is Modric. No way will Spurs win 3-0.
-
He's hardly in love with Malouda, he (Florent) has only started 4 league games all season.
-
Don't think Drogba was great V City bar the timewasting at the end which was genius, but the only problem is Drogba is nearly 34 played twice in the last week and didn't he play a charity match or something inbetween not sure? Plus Drogba might start thinking he has got a sorted place if he gets picked after the shocker he had today.
-
-------------------Cech------------------ Ivanovic-----Luiz------Terry-----Cole ------------------Romeu---------------- ----------Meireles-----Ramires-------- Sturridge---------------------------Mata ------------------Torres------------------ This lineup we win, any other we lose it really is that simple right now.
-
Last season Malouda was starting every time, atleast we don't have to put up with that no more.
-
The fact we look better at the back whenever David Luiz plays is looking less and less of a the "inconvient coinsidence" media, opposition fans and even some of us want it to look with every passing game.
-
I was on another forum at the time but after Josh nearly lost us the game at Villa Park last season he was getting stick Kalou would have been proud off.
-
It was all David Luiz's fault he is too wreckless, oh wait......
-
This is the first should win game we have lost by being sloppy. It's hardly like were Liverpool and making a habit out of it, yet.
-
Its lose lose, had we brought him on and he contibuted to us dropping points we would have blasted AVB for "throwing him the deep end". Before we go over-reacting and writing this lad off, lets remember Sturridge could not even get on the bench off a mid table pre Sheikh City side at 18 and Josh is getting on the bench for one the best sides in the country. So he is in a better position than Danny at the same age. Infact he is the same position as Danny was last season and Danny was 21.

Im no fan of Bieber far from it but judging by some of the comments on here you would think we have got Fred West supporting us
-
Bound to come against us. The 15,000 goal did (Maurice Voltz for Fulham at The Bridge)
-
Ill start worrying when we start conceding numerous goals in games he plays in.
-
Only Liverpool and Manchester United have scored more than once against us in a one off game where Luiz has played (Levekusen aswell but Luiz went off before they scored their goals). He can't be that bad looking at things like that. He might have been a bit reckless at times but he isn't the only defender to be so and he hasn't done it nearly as much as some think, i think some here have been far too brainwashed by the media when it comes to Luiz if im being brutally honest.
-
i want to see this lineup ------------------------Cech--------------- Bosingwa----Ferreira----Terry---Cole ----------------------Mikel----------------- ---------------Lampard------Ramires--- Kalou-------------Anelka---------Malouda :
-
Would u accept an offer of a Kalou and Cavani straight swap?

I don;t think any one compared Lukaku to Neymar or said he was better (i hope not anyway). In terms of pure talent there is only one winner. One thing Lukaku does have over Neymar is attitude. Lukaku is determined to be a success and football as BL said is 10% talent and 90% attitude. Only worry with Neymar is will he have the hunger to come to us and succed, im not too sure. If he joins us and proves me wrong i will be delighted however because on pure potential alone (Neymar) could become one of the best if not the best in the world.
