I think something went badly wrong last year. I don't know if im on my own at this but he was fantastic at the end of 09/10, i remember the title decider at Anfield when he tore a all be out of position Mascerano to peices, then he was pretty good at the start of 10/11 i honestly thought he cracked it and was going to go on to be great for us. I don't agree he is the worse player in a top team the likes of Chamackh, Bebe and before they moved Bedtner (spelling) and N Gog are a lot wosrse and I still maintain he is a good squad player but i really cba to get into another Kalou argument so ill leave it at that.

I laugh when Liverpool fans say thy have progressed. From Alonso, Mascerano and Torres to Henderson, Adam and Carroll only they can call that progression.

I think we are going a bit overboard with this, yes he could have played more but we can't just throw him in the team for the sake of throwing him in. Say we play him against QPR on sunday, makes a mistake that wins the game (god for bid) for QPR his confidence would be shot and the same people getting up tight that he is not getting played would be bashing him and AVB for rushing him straight in. He got into a Carlo Ancelotti squad at 17 years old, considering Carlo's preference for expierence is the worst kept secret in football it makes it even more impressive. 19 apps is well above the average for a player of 18, you get the exeptions like Rooney, Owen, Rodwell, Giggs, Fabregas, Messi, Glen Johnson, Wilshere but all of them bar Giggs pick up avoidable injuries quite a lot (Messi not so much in recent years). On the flip side look at Iniesta for example, Barca did not give him his debut till he was older than Josh is now, didn't make him regualar until he was 21 and now they are reaping the rewards of patience, i suspect a similar reward with Alantara will be reaped in the coming years. When Josh McEachran is 24 we will be looking back at threads like these and laughing.

Warnock needs some media training, the way he openly slates his own players in public is cringeworthy, the fact he is considered amoungst the elite English managers just shows how bad our English gaffers are.

If QPR win, draw or even lose but have a few decent chances, it would be a "sign" that the balance of power in West London is shifting.

Come on his new deal is not 90k a week. It would be a significant pay cut which other teams would be willing to match or even better, while we get a decent fee for him at the same time.

I don't get why people say he was bad in 2009/2010. Last season was a disaster for him personally but 09/10 he scored 22 in 32, which given the mess Liverpool were in i would say that is a very decent return.

I said on the Cech's player database that i thought he has got better and better the last couple of years, last year it was like Petr pre injury again. Atleast we have a awesome keeper waiting just incase the worst happens.
