never thought of it like that but you're right. Walker (just like Bosingwa in his first season with us) is conning everyone into thinking he is great because he can run in a straight line down the wing.
-
Walker has been at fault for a good number of Tottenham's goals conceded this season, including all 3 yesterday and 2 when they lost to City.
-
The thing is Mourinho did leave us with world class players and a squad that was the best in Europe, only United were a better team (as in first choice Xl) than us at the time and that was only because of Ronaldo. But we without doubt had the strongest squad out of anyone in Europe. If he did come back and then fucked off in 3 years, he will still leave behind a top squad but this time if that did happen we should learn from our mistake and keep building on that instead of sticking to the squad and eventually letting the grass grow from under our feet.
-
Walker and Jones are good going forward, but abosolute liability's defensively.
-
I personally think that this summer would be the perfect time for Mourinho to return to the club (for him), if we get lumbered on channel 5 then even more so. This club (for Roman era standards) will be at rock bottom, Mourinho will see a club that needs a magic touch, a bunch of fans that already idolise him, if he comes back, smashes the Europa league, wins us the premier league and get's us back amoungst Europe's elite, he will not only be even more idolised by the Chelsea fans and i mean to the point were nothing could break that, he will be the bloke who got Chelsea back to the top and the extra added bonus of making AVB look stupid, this is the ideal ego boost for Jose if nothing else. All the signs are there, house hunting in London, Roman buying him car, Roman refusing Rafa's 18 month contract demand and giving RDM the job till May. Whether we like it or not, it's all adding up.

What i find funny is the media bash David Luiz yet hail the likes of Phil Jones, Johnny Evans, Leighton Baines, Rafeal, Kyle Walker, Glen Johnson and co are hailed as second coming's of crist when there all absolute dross.

Infact looking back at some of Ewok's comment's he looks like one of those QPR nutjobs that riddled this forum back before our match with them.

Rebuilding of Chelsea and players who you want out or in?
Tomo replied to daNcfc's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Not sure if their's another suitable topic this can go in if their is feel free to place this in there But constant debate on who should stay and who should go this summer, im going to access every player in the first team squad and give my opinion on what fate should await them after this season ends. 1 . Petr Cech - He should stay no doubt, Courtious still needs another loan and on top form he is one of the best. 2. Branislav Ivanovic - Stay, no brainer, has passion, commitment and plays his heart out which is a rare commodity in this squad these days, add the fact he is one of the best right back's around. 3. Ashley Cole - Go, make Ryan number 1 left back, performances on the whole have been shit for nearly 2 years, in hindsight we should have took Madrid's £30m offer in 2010 and ran. 4. David Luiz - Stay, got the same passion and commitment that Ivan has and at 24 is only going to get better. 5. Micheal Essien - Stay, we will never see the old Bison again but he has showed lately he can adapt and become a good DM asset for us. 6. Oriol Romeu - Stay, all our shite runs seem to coincide when he is out of the team, he is more important to us already than we think. 7. Ramires - Stay, but for our squad to get back to normal, he can't be the best midfielder in our squad, a very good asset to have mind. 8. Frank Lampard - Go, legend yes but our club and squad are never going to evolve with him still around, that is becoming more and more obvious as every day passes. 9. Fernando Torres - Go, don't want to hear excuses about service and that, he is finished 5 goals in 47 games is just inexcusible and to go on 17 then 20 games goal drought's renders me speechless. 10. Juan Mata - Stay, get him in the centre and build this team around him, class, class, class. 11. Didier Drogba - Go, legend yes but we have seen the best of him, no forward at this club can ever relax and spread their wing's with a character as big as DD11's breathing down their neck. 12. John Obi Mikel - Stay, here me out here, if we are going to have a massive overhaul of former, past it key players, it's vital in terms of squad depth that we keep the squad players for at least one more season. 15. Florent Malouda - Go, has he actually put in a decent display lately? 17. Jose Bosingwa - Go, can't fault his effort when he does play but he just isn't very good. 16- Raul Meireles - Stay - for the same reason as Mikel. 18. Romelu Lukaku - Stay, he is more ready than we think, if we are bringing in a Falcao or Cavani type forward, then why can't Lukaku be back up? 19. Paulo Ferreira - Stay - for the same reason i gave for Mikel. 21. Saloman Kalou - Stay - for the same reason i gave for Mikel. 22. Ross Turnbull - Stay, he's ok as a 3rd choice and with Hilario likely to leave, getting rid of 2 back up goallie's in one go is a bit much. 23. Dan Sturridge - Stay, will be a key player for us. 24. Gary Cahill - Stay, while im not convinced he can be the mainstay off our defence for years to come, as a squad player, hes invaluble. 26. John Terry - Stay, but needs to be reduced to a lesser role sooner rather than later. 34. Ryan Bertrand - Stay and make first choice LB. 40, Hilario - Go, out of contract, can't see him getting a new one. 41. Sammy Hutchinson - Stay and be back up to Ivan. That's 7 player's leaving which is enough for 1 summer, replace them with signing's, youth promotion and returning loanee's. -
Quite frankly these topics are getting depressing.
-
Ive been thinking, maybe we need a manager who will sacrifice himself but at the same time dropping Lampard and Malouda and co into the reserves and integrating the young players into the team? Basically someone who will "take the sack" for the good for the club.
-
Di Matteo actually did well at WBA and was harshly sacked, they were still firmly poised to stay up for only the 2nd time in prem history even before Roy replaced RDM.
-
Don't get me wrong i'd be more than happy for him to prove me wrong but the more cautious side of me can only see another Roy situation. Plus i doubt Moyes will even consider the job, i remember him saying before we played up Goodison last May how he values continuaty, knowing his job his safe etc etc
-
Sorry to burst the bubble but David Moyes is far to big a gamble. Yes he has done amazing at Everton to do what he has done on a limited budget and what not, but lets not forget Allardyce and Roy did similar miracle job's at Bolton and Fulham, Big Sam came very close to getting a £10m Bolton squad in the CL while Roy got an average Fulham squad into the final of the Europa league, look what happened when they got a big job? Whats to say Moyes won't go down the same route because lets be honest had Big Sam stayed at Bolton to this day i can put money on that a lot of Chelsea fans would be sounding his name out for the job.
-
How do we know Mourinho will fuck off after 2 years? He stayed with us for over 3 last time and would have stayed longer if it weren't for the board interfering.
-
Who else is there? Ive been against a Jose return for years im usually against second coming's but this time we have no choice. Bielsa is just too huge a risk, he is in a similar boat Scolari was when he got appointed for us, Capello would just prolong Lampard and co's career's likewise Redknapp, Benitez would leave us midtable and with a squad full of flops. Guardiola apparently suffers at times with the stress of managing and that's with one of the best team's ever, appointing him will be too big a risk he will try and do the same thing's AVB did too soon, highline, tika taka and with these players it will just never happen. If we are going to look long term Bielsa or Pep would be a good appointment but there's no point, this club just won't accept and average season or two even if it is for the greater good.
-
and if he got time he would have been succesfull with us, i stand by that.
-
There's been some rumours about Zola.
-
Don't ask me why but i have a feeling RDM might just surprise us.

Billy Clifford and Jacob Mellis banned from Cobham

Like Chelsea need an excuse to get shot of young players anyway. -
I hope Bobby Di Matteo get's to stay at the club in whatever capacity whatever happens now. It would be heartbreaking seeing him shafted out to dry
-
City maybe but he won't go to Spurs for these reasons. - They can't afford him, they will have to smash their wage structure if they are to get him, they will probably look to get AVB if anyone out of the 2. - They aren't actually that good, they are only 3rd because us and Arsenal have been shit but not even us or Arsenal get pumped in the big games as regularly as they have this season. If they want to win the league or eve challenge they will need to spend big and they just don't have the money. Modric is their only world class player, Bale and VDV are very good but who else? Adebayor is hit and miss, Saha and Defoe won't win you the league. Parker is a very good player but if he was world class Jose would have kept him at Chelsea, Freidel and Cudicini are not long off retirement and their defence King aside are rubbish. Funnily enough i can see Chelsea being a very good proposition for Jose more so if we end up on channel 5 for 2 reason's. - We will (for Roman era standards) be at rock bottom, Jose could not do worse, the only way will be up and Jose would be an even bigger hero to the fans than he is already. - He won't be able to resist the opportunity to stick 2 finger's up at AVB and say "this is how to do it, should never have left my side buddy". I think we have to go for Jose now, i don't usually like second coming's but we really have no other choice, he is the only man that can get us out of this mess.
-
Yeah i know he's doe well with Everton but Big Sam and Roy both got even smaller and inferior squad's into Europe and every one was saying they would smash top jobs but both messed them up. Maybe Moyes would be differet but i cant help but feel wary, same with Rodgers.
-
If Moyes get's a big job he will fare exactly the same way Allardyce and Roy did. Every one said they would do well at a big club and both made a pig's ear of it.
