It doesn't work like that, using the same theory's Sturridge is average because he couldn't dislodge Torres or Fernandinho is average because Paulinho is played more by Scolari. Furthermore Sakho is a decent prospect, even Thiago Silva would look half the player he is in a system like Liverpools which pretty much neglects defending.

We should just give him 9 anyway and lump Torres with 76. It needs to be made clear to him in any way possible he has no future here.

Honest Question: Why do we have a Youth system?
Tomo replied to Chelsea?'s topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Probably a mix of quite a few things, for our perspective mainly the fact we were not very good meaning the best youth got a chance quicker but on the flip side we had both Wilkins and Spackman to name a couple poached of us by the big boys. Southampton are that type of club today, they produce star players but always lose the best ones, I would hate that to be us, personally, imagine developing Chalobah and then he comes back to The Bridge in a United shirt for the next 15 years. These days to make it at a top club challenging at the top you need to bide your time, have the patience of a saint, have the right mentality and above all be good enough, because unless you are a freak of nature like Rooney or Shaw you won't be a regular at the top end of football ad a teenager. -
Considering inflation so was Winston Bogarde. The only way we can move on is if he isn't playing.

Hello Brendan Rodgers.

For me the club should make it clear under no uncertain terms he has no future and if he excersises his right to see out his contract he will go the same way as Malouda.

Rob Green statistically has the best game for a PL keeper in history (Arsenal vs West Ham in 2007). Sorry Thiabut we have found a better option. Further more I don't care what he does for Belgium in yhr six months he was with us our other AMs were better than him, and don't give me he only played in the carling cup, so did Azpilucueta initially but he TOOK ADVANTAGE of the game time he got.

I thought so to for a while but now he doesn't even appear wanted by Fenebache (on loan at PAOK last season). -

Honest Question: Why do we have a Youth system?

And which one's are good enough to play for us that didn't? Probably Hutch and he was robbed by injuries. The thing is youth promotion at the top teams is a complicated process, even Wenger is getting more cautious with it, and it simply works both ways. Players have to show the right attitude and application, McEachran for example would be playing right now if he had even half of Franks work ethic. If RLC was genuinely better than all our other options mentally aswell as technically he would be playing it's that simple. -
Who knows maybe Mark is happy seeing out his career as a 3rd choice, maybe a coaching role will come as part of the deal. If we do keep both Cech and Courtois and somehow they both get injured, I would rather Schwarzer than Blackman that's for sure.

Hahaha  is there any lengths the Torres fan boys won't stoop to?
-
in terms of raw heartbreak ofcourse not but I knew in those moments we were still a squad in top condition and would get up and go again, the feeling at the end of 10-11 season was where the fuck do we go now? and that was horrible.
-
Best moment Munich and Bolton, can't separate them. Best game i went to was my first ever game beating those wankers 5-0 at Highbury, i tend to choose to go to a lot of 1-0s and 0-0s for some fuked up reason, so i don't have much excitement to choose from. My favourite goal i change quite a lot. Worse moment for me was the end of 10/11, horrible season climaxed by that awful game at Goodison and the realisation hit me that we have gone completely stale and it might take years to fix.

Willian was actually a necessary signing because Mou wasn't convinced about Mata and KDB working in his system and Willian fitted it like a glove. We shouldn't go for every little upgrade but Sanchez will take us up a level and for a decent price to, you don't get many chances these days to make a 'statement signing' without breaking the bank, James would require us to smash the British transfer record for example. I am more than happy with our current batch, i just think it will be a shame to let such a player join our rivals for peanuts and we didn't even enquire.
-
Ultimately when such a calibre of player, especially for a decentish price, comes along you have to take it. Apart from Hazard, Alexis is on another level to what we have, if Thierry Henry became available a decade ago for 20m should we have said no thankyou because it would limit the game time of Gudjohnsen and Kezman?
-
does he like playing 1_2s and triangles?
-
If Everton sign Javier Hernandez in the summer he would probably hit 15 goals or so, yet i doubt one single Chelsea fan will think he's good enough to be number one here. Just saying.
-
If we are going to play that game then the PL doesn't exactly come out smelling of roses, Spurs the 6th best team lost 20-1 on aggregate to City and Liverpool while 4th place Arsenal shipped two 6's and a 5 at the homes of the team's above them. 2nd place Liverpool shipped 50 goals overall including 8 vs the relegated sides. Hardly a great advert for the defensive state of the PL, is it?

There's a reason English player's are overpriced. The HG rule and the need for English cores at English clubs see to that, lets say for argument sake we were a mid table club and we nurtured McEachran to his full potential and United came sniffing around, we would demand a lot of money and rightly so in this market. Unless Baker Bamford or someone steps up, we will need to look at the market for some HG players sooner rather than later and they won't come cheap.

wank leagues? The german league is the 3rd best in Europe while the French has arguably moved ahead of serie A to 4th.The way your worded that sounded like he was playing in the Slovakian and Belarus leagues, with respect to them.
-
On another note what an epic cock up by United this was. We may have messed up selling Sturridge but that was as much down to the alternatives we had as much as the player, if Costa hits the ground running I won't miss Danny any more. United letting Pogba go blows any cock up we have nade out if the water spectacurily.

under AVB he played on the right sometimes and was woeful. Having said that he played on the right for Everton vs Arsenal and scored a good goal.
-
I know that but it would still take him a while to get back up to speed.
