  1. Tbf even Thiago Silva would look crap playing under Brendan Rodgers, he either doesn't know how to coach defending or doesn't want to. Look at Lovren for example, this time last year at the heart of a defence only conceded twice, goes to Liverpool and turns to shit, it's not a coincidence.
  2. I wonder how long before Lovrens heart is back in Southampton?
  3. Liverpool look as clueless as we looked in AVBs late days. Even if they suddenly hit 4 now I will say the same, they have been rubbish, how many games now were they create next to nothing? Brendan has been found out big time, he's always been a overrated manager.
  4. No it isn't it's fucking hilarious.
  5. Also they call our players mercenarys, I guess Rio Ferdinand and Eduardo Vargas will be bringing out their QPR kit photos from their childhood soon then
  6. 17 years old and playing for one of the best academys in Europe and having his progress monitored by the world's best manager.I wish I was treated that badly at 17..
  7. Part of me wants to see Jose do a Pellegrini at Derby then you will all have something to actually get worked up about.
  8. Pogba was a player who was actually good enough and didn't get a chance, Juve were more than happy to wade in and show United just that. If we ignore a player who is ready and top class, someone on a similar scale to Juve/Chelsea will happily intervene and demonstrate that to us like Juve did to Fergie.
  9. I think JT might surprise a few with just how long he has got left. He is 34 soon as is showing no serious signs of decline. Most player's are serious shadows of former selves at this age yet Terry is still playing to a high standard. Sometimes there are exceptions to the usual rule and I honestly believe JT might just be one of the exceptions like Zanetti, Giggs and Maldini, all maintained a serious high level until 38, I wouldn't be atall surprised if JT does the same and if he does that rules Cahill and Ivanovic out of contention as there be well into their 30s by then unless they join the elite group of duracel bunny's aswell.
  10. It will be tough, McLaren is a very astute manager despite what the media say. I want to win this competition.
  11. Fernandinho is another that's gone off the boil, ever since he produced for me one off the worse midfield performance I have ever seen against Germany his confidence has looked shot to pieces.
  12. I still think his contributions were underrated, he scored crucial goals, his general play was top notch (even early on when he was still acclimatising, he rarely made a bad decision on the ball). His thread until he scored the hat trick against United was awful, scapegoating that only Kalou got more, I was genuinely amazed that I was drawn into a debate with lots of people thinking Torres was better, Eto'o is light years ahead of Torres in every single aspect of the game. If we kept him this year, I wouldn't worry at all if Costa needed a week or two off, as much as I like Remy, I think Samuel is better suited to this team, he has such an amazing mentality, it's like having Mourinho on the pitch.
  13. In some aspects the club can do more but ultimately when it comes down to it, the players are mainly in control of there own destiny.Out off all the academy players we have let go, the closest to one coming back to haunt us is Jack Cork. Look at Pogba, if we do let a genuine world class player from our academy slip through our fingers, some club in Europe at a similar level to us will quickly show us what were missing out on. Let's put it this way, Conor Clifford isn't a Southend squad player as opposed to Chelsea and Ireland captain because we failed to give him that extra bit of care and attention.
  14. Only ever player ive grown to dislike while wearing our shirt, I genuinely can't stand the sight of him.
  15. Another scoreless game, that's 6 now sincw his debut. Yet another false dawn, no doubt people be falling over his feet again next time he scores.
  16. We are still a proactive CB, top class competition for Costa, an more intelligent AM, maybe another CM away from being a "complete" team but then again no team is ever truly complete, Pep took over the treble winners and made them even better.
  17. Maybe our squad isn't superior on paper, but then again is Fernando for example any better than our midfield backups? I think what gave us the favorites tag is like you said Mourinho, his second season record at previous clubs before now is almost flawless and it's early days but manager's seem more aware of Pellegrinis tactics this time round, Big Sam and now Pardrew have done him a new one. We will be kept on our toes but I think all things considered our favourites tag (at this moment in time) is justified.
  18. Funny thing is this team is nowhere near complete yet favorites for the league. Futures good indeed.
  19. Mangala has the raw qualifies and Vidic struggled at the start in the PL aswell, I think he will be ok, im finding his current form amusing mind purely because of the wankfest his display against us caused. Fernando on the other hand looks like another Paulinho, the definition of average.
  20. Derby away, tough one, if we play like last night we could easily go out.
  21. Pellegrini is being stubborn as fuck this season, his insistence in playing one way regardless of the oppo is costing them big time. Unless he starts being more flexible tactically never mind them catching us I could see United and Arsenal catching them. Infact i can see LVG outsmarting him on Sunday.
  22. Eto'o's contributions last season are criminally under appreciated, especially from December after he acclimatised. The fact a lot of people thought Torres was better than him says it all. He was a better fit to us last season than Lukaku would have been, in my opinion. I think having Eto'o guiding him for a couple of years could be the making of Lukaku if he takes Samuels expierence and advice on board.
  23. Mourinho names two teenagers in the team against Bolton and a further two on the bench. Three in the lineup and two on the bench vs Shrewsbury. Pellegrini on the other hand names NOT ONE under 21 player in his 18 tonight, the youngest player is 23 year old Boyata whos on the bench. Against Sheffield Wednesday in round 3, no youngster starting, 1 on the bench. Imagine if Mou went down that road, this place would crash.
  24. You mention Chalobah, he is struggling to get a look in at a dreadful Burnley team, if he can't break past some of the dross in that squad, how on earth can we justify including him in our squad next season? If players are good enough they get there, when Terry was young we accepted a bid from Huddersfield for him did he give up? no he carried on fighting, did he sulk and demand a move when we signed Gallas? no he kept on fighting. Youth players have to be extremely patient, show fight and be good enough of course. Despite our underwhelming record of getting youth in the first team we still attract the best home grown talent and young players from abroad keep putting pen on paper, they know what they are signing up for.
