  1. He won't get sacked unless we nosedive big style but I cba to get into that argument again. Furthermore I wouldn't want Ancelotti back, im grateful for the double but the second season was beyond horrendous.
  2. For sure, if we were still in the period of manager instability and Mou was out of reach I would have been starting a campaign to get him here.
  3. He also makes Wengers money excuse that he STILL uses (despite being able to compete financially in the FFP era) look very very silly.I guess that's the difference between winners and also rans, Wenger uses the money excuse as a fall back line, Simeone sees two squads with players more expensive than his squad and goes and wins La Liga ahead of both.
  4. More clinical is a bonus, that's what we pay Diego for. Hazard has his skillset and a unique skillset to boot, Bergkamp was never clinical but is one off the greatest player's off his generation.
  5. Well im just speculating as i don't watch much abroad. I remember the game against Shaktar under RDM at home where the ref was amazing and got everything spot on including playing advantage and keep the game flowing, he was brilliant and I went out of my way to praise him on the match thread. I can't remember the last time I felt that watching a PL game.
  6. It's amazing Hazard gets judged on goals. Funny thing is people want him to be "more greedy" yet when Schurlle takes 20 shots against Bolton moan moan, hold on isn't that what you want Hazard to start doing? Ronaldo and Messi have set expectations way way to high, give it ten years full backs will be getting judged on goals
  7. Is it time we try and appoint foreign referee's in this league? Apart from Probert are any ref's in this country any good? let alone the level required.
  8. Leti aside Mou was spot on in every big game last season apart from maybe United. Same way Simeone was spot on all season, until the CL final.
  9. Yet his way of not putting men on the posts cost him a CL medal. No one is perfect, EVERY manager makes mistakes.
  10. Yet he lost a CL final because he refused to put men on the posts. No one's perfect.
  11. If Diego scores a ladt minute level against United at home and celebrates like that, Mou would bollock him for not taking the ball straight to half way line
  12. Im talking about the knee jerk reactions in Mous thread. Dowd deserves everything we throw at him.
  13. Knockout cups can be won any time, the Greece team in the last word cup were imo better than the team that won the Euros. I don't doubt the sheer spirit and desire we shown to win the CL ofcourse not, however that was the most one sided final i have seen, we were well off the pace compared to thd elite and it showed, the win was simply remarkable. If our team of 2000 got the rub of the green in Barca, with 3 one off games after that, who knows if they would have done the same. Small margins.
  14. If dropped points in Manchester cause these type of reactions god knows what this place will be like if we drop points at The Emirates, Anfield, not even going to think about teams further down.
  15. I don't like the notion of this is a shit United team so we should have smashed them, it isn't as simple as that. Between Carlos second season and the Rafa spell when we weren't very good and United were on top we ALWAYS turned up at SW6 against them put in a performance and more often than not got a result. No matter what the form and circumstance, United will always find an extra gear at home against Chelsea,it was practically roles reversal from a couple years back.
  16. After Zola, Robbie and co arrived in the mid 90s, was any team we had worse than that? in terms of results and the performances?
  17. Our 11/12 team was the worse since the mid 90's, we were terrible im still at a loss explaining how we pulled off the FA Cup never mind the CL. Doesn't matter how many times they hit post, after Iniestas goal they went all out to kill us off, and we suker punched them.
  18. and Peps Barca tried to kill us off our worse team for 2 decades and got suker punched on the counter (Ramires goal). There's no right or wrong when defending a lead.
  19. It's to early to say, he was ok at Everton. The thing is the Arsenal bottling is ingrained in the club, Henry (last couple of season's) Nasri RVP etc were all part of those teams too.
  20. I have said it before and will say it again, if Hazard played for anyone else, the same group that harp on about his mythical inconsistency will be saying how amazing he is and hes the 3rd best player in the world etc etc..... KDB got hyped up last summer before he kicked a ball for Chelsea, he beat Lampard to a header in training and it triggered about 5 pages of people basically saying he's the second coming off jesus. Hazard proves his quality in a Blue shirt time after time yet he supposedly isn't doing enough and should be doing more
  21. That's the grass is greener complex for you. If we swap Hazard with James watch the same people who said Edens "not on his level" suddenly backtrack and say Edens the best after Ronaldo and Messi
  22. Works both ways, I have seen Liverpool fans show Hodgson more respect than you at times show the best manager in the club's history.
  23. I don't think they will try and outscore us, LVG isn't Wenger and for all these soundbites about his philosophy etc etc he is more than partial to dirty/defensive/park the bus tactics or whatever it's called these days. You only need to look at how he set Holland up in the World Cup semi final, I honestly expect something similar from him in this one (funny how there was no park the bus criticism for King Louis hey? ). LVG will know that he doesn't have the resources to fight fire with fire on us Sunday so will likely go defensive and hope Angel and Radamel will muster something up.
  24. Even Messi himself would look like a clown under Sherwoods management.
