In the first half of this season we were playing our best footy since 2010, if he wanted to break in he had to at least show something when he got his opportunities and didn't. Azpilucueta had the same problem start of last season but got in.

Yeah he is starting to look more off a squad player these days, however I still think he would be pretty useful as one, this season we have lacked real cover for our best Xl and Oscar will give us that (to be fair he has scored some important opening goals this season that have got us out of sticky situations ala QPR or set the tone for an easy match ala Swansea and Villa). Like Greavsie said Pep had the players to do it, if there came a point were he had no option but to defend deep, he will probably do that too.
