Christenson is a long way off, whenever I see him at youth level he blows hot and cold not least in the youth cup final last season.

Good, can't have Liverpool winning it and with it a Gerrard "ultimate exit" wankfest and Arsenal need another trophyless season. United are the lesser evil.
-
Why? Tim Sherwood sides are like porn for teams who like to counter at speed.

That's like saying how can Asombolonga be considered not as good as Costa because he hasn't had the chance. Right now Kane is widely considered the better of the two due to the fact he is scoring goals in the premier league, they aren't token goals either, 5 goals and 3 assists in 3 games against Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool isn't to be sniffed at. Lets be honest if the boot was on the other shoe and Bamford was with us doing what Kane was doing and Kane himself was on loan in the Championship, we would laugh any attempted comparison out of the room and rightly so. If/when Bamford starts scoring goals in the PL at a similar rate then start the comparisons, until that happens not one single person outside of Chelsea will even think of this comparison, let alone prefer the player who hasn't played a single PL game.

Avaliable for free in the summer. We missed the boat with Tiago and this is a cheap opportunity to get some quality squad depth in, unless that is he doesn't want to play for another English club after City.
-
Terry, purely due to the fact that you take him out the defence leaks goals like a seive. Must be addressed in the summer.
-
In terms of verbal diarrhea to the media. Lukaku = player version of Harry Redknapp

Yes because footballs that simple, you do remember a McLeish plagued Villa side beat us at Stamford Bridge few years back, guess we couldn't have gone on and say won the CL a few months later.
-
It's really really hard to keep motivating yourselves after winning the title season after season, Wolfsburg will nick the title of Bayern sooner rather than later aswell. Even Fergie the ultimate motivatior could never pull off 4 in a row. The CL is a different kettle off fish, don't expect there lethargic league displays on show vs us.
-
Why?
-
Just as long as 90 of those minutes are against us at The Bridge.
-
Not sure tbh, couple of years back I thought no but he seems to be the one Mou values quite highly. Hopefully he can break into the Wednesday team as there flurry of deadline day signings doesn't seem to have done him many favours if there last team sheet is anything to go by, unless he was injured.

In what circumstances would you choose to miss a Chelsea game?
Tomo replied to LAB's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I was at Doha airport for that fixture this season, about ten minutes before full time we were told to put phones off/to flight mode ready for take off, couldn't find out the final score till I landed in Amsterdam. -
Don't know but strikers are mainly judged on goals no? Infact he was lagging behind on both scores compared to Henry yet some people regarded the Dutch man as the better of the two.
-
Dennis Bergkamp netted on average once every four games as a forward for Arsenal, that stat says average forward, any one who saw him play knew different. Im not saying Willian is on that level, just a bit of perspective.
-
Would be worth every penny. Maybe not on face value, but when you think (barring an awful injury) ten years off a Vieira/Essien type player for me it's worth the hit.
-
He has had a few of these mini spells which has people falling over themselves claiming he's back then he quickly resorts to type.
-
What I don't get is has there been any concrete Hazard to Madrid rumours bar the fact he idolised Zidane as a kid? With Ronaldo the rumours were spinning for 3 years before he made the switch.
-
Wednesday signed 4 players on deadline day and as a result Baker didn't even make the bench yesterday.

Well Reals attacking hasn't got them very far against Atletico this season. In the biggest games every one has to pull their weight defensively/off the ball because if you don't, you don't win them very often.
-
I wasn't talking about Oscar per se despite this being his thread, what I am trying to say is it may sound good signing a flashy number 10 and a "right midfielder like Hazard" but unless there prepared to do donkey work we will face the same problems against well balanced sides just like Real do against Atletico (I called it in the summer that Leti will have the beating of Real this season, im not remotely surprised by the record Real simply have too many "best players" if that makes sense). Also Oscar's productivity has improved a lot this season anyway, he has scored 6 goals this season and 5 have opened the scoring, Palace and Newcastle especially could well have ended up in dropped point's if Oscar didn't score when he did and the Villa and Swansea goals set the tempo for an easy match. If we lift the title in May, Oscar and Willian have earned their medals as much as anyone.
-
Just a little warning for those who want to ditch hard workers for players who "produce more". Real Madrid have Bale, Ronaldo and James behind the striker and have just lost to Atletico for the 4th time this season. The importance of balance in a team is so overlooked it's ridiculous.
-
Huge, huge chance to open up a 9/10 point gap with City at Stoke but this will be far from easy. In the Derby at the second half Martinez brought on Alcaraz and went 5 at the back with 3 defensive midfielders, if he does that again it will be a long night, especially if Cesc is still out.
-
Southampton were suppose to fall away when the fixtures got tough but are still there. Don't bet against them getting it and if they do they could be England's version of Atletico Madrid. There results since boxing day is title form let alone top 4. However after 2011-2013, it's so nice being able to observe that particular race from a far.

Because Villa are going to park the Quantas Airbus today and Drogbas better at breaking them than Remy is.
