Yes, keeper is different to outfield, in goal you pick you're pecking order and stick to it. Take WBA for example, Foster in injured a lot and Myhill does well when called on but when Foster is fit he play's.

FAir enough, obviously others including yourself will have different perspectives to me but for me that run in 10-11 between Sunderland 0-3 and Fulham 0-0 is the worst run we have been on in the Roman era, despite this shit storm right now I still believe our squad is young enough to recover (whether that's with Jose or not remains to be seen), but that season we had an ageing squad and I honestly thought we were heading down for some time, I think we would have if it werent for Munich, that allowed us to sign Eden and slowly recover culminating in last season's title.

Even current Mourinho looks like his 2005 self compared to Sherwood, this Muppet played 5 defenders and 3 defensive midfielders at home to Stoke. He isn't the type of manager to tactically target our weaknesses too he will just tell Villa to go out and play, he is an awful manager. I think this will be similar to that Bolton game in 2012, we will win 2 or 3 nil but it will be more to do with how bad the opponent is and won't erase our problems.
-
Even a Costa on average form is so much better than Falcao and Remy its not even funny.
-
I don't dislike him, just wouldn't want him anywhere near the Blues dugout.
-
I didn't realise we had these next thought we had Hammers away. Perfect fixture with this run, Sherwood is an absolutely clueless manager and this Villa team are absolute shite, it will by no means mean the end to our troubles, but I think we will win this comfortably.
-
And Kloop oversaw an even worse run last season with Dortmund. I don't think any manager is immune to a shitstorm run of form like this, every single one has pros and cons.
-
Let's not exagarate, there is absolutely no danger of relegation, despite this run we still have enough individual quality to make sure we end up at least in the top 7 at absolute worse, Liverpool and Spurs were shambolic last season yet finished top 6.I remember before Jose returned I was asked what if he has a similar run to AVB do we sack him? I said at the time no because he has a track record to suggest things will eventually get better whereas AVB didn't and for the foreseeable I firmly stick by that. We have to tread very carefully, even if we sack Jose and things at the start pick up under a new manager, there will eventually come a time where the honeymoon period wades off and the new man will have the tactical responsibility firmly on his shoulders, if we flake again, were back to square one of the managerial merry go round we were in. I would rather gamble on Mourinho turning it around than any manager that could come in now if I'm honest,Klopp won't come here and I don't want Ancelotti back, especially not in a time of crisis, that winless run in 10/11 was much worse than even this.
-
Ultimately, there's only one manager that will probably take this job right now and he would probably say something along the lines off "Chelsea is a triffic team with great players". Jose needs to pull his finger out, but sacking him? Will you take the risk?
-
As much as I thibk Falcao has been bad, nowhere near as bad as Torres. He had the team set up for him and still flopped bad.
-
Although I don't doubt Didier's influence in the dressing room, I'm not sure how much influence he could have in turning these results around, let's not forget he was actually at the club in the run of 10/11, when the dressing room revolted against AVB and was one of the main players that turned on Scolari.
-
It won't be as embarrising as your backtracking if Costa returns at The Boleyn ground and nets 3 or more.
-
He was very good vs West Brom and Arsenal and they were our two best displays off the season, at Porto Cassilas made two saves early on. The point is when Costa is on song we have a better chance, what on this earth has that got to do with defending Mourinho.
-
Our whole season depends on Costa being good consistently, our only good displays are when he's on song, the other two forwards.are a joke.
-
Man.City 1-4 Tottenham Tottenham 2-2 Stoke
-
I don't usually bump my own posts bit after some of the comments since I feel I have to. "I hate this cunt now" seriously ?
-
They will probably stay there or there about, Leti haven't got the resources to pull away and Rafas famous 0-0s against mid table sides at home will creep up sooner or later.
-
One point off the top, behind two teams that aren't going to keep it up, I wouldn't mind Barca' s crisis right now
-
Not the fan boy route again, I'm sorry but it really winds me up when people go down that route, are people who defend Terry now a fanboy? Or anyone who defended Drogba in the last two seasons pre Barca and Bayern. In football fans build emotional connections with players and managers, now if you think Mourinho is not the right man to take us forward and/or don't have the same connection with him that's fine, that is your prerogative, but ultimately there will be fans that do, and because of the massive impact he has made especially in his first spell he will get some leeway with a lot of supporters where others won't, which is why I always cringe whenever the "If this was Benitez" line is used. Look at Liverpool in Kennys second coming, I was on a all fans footy forum at the time and some Liverpool fans thought Kenny should go because he wasn't in touch with the modern times and there were others who couldn't let go, but the people in the former group always remained respectful of the fact that some will have that emotional connection to a man who was a prominent figure when Liverpool were top dogs (like Jose here), I mean if Liverpool fans can manage that, why cant we (in general)?
-
So now he's gone permanently he's eligible for the "things will be so much better if he was still here" category after the next bad result
-
Providing he's happy to be #3 and we don't need the squad space I hope he stays as long as possible, a world class, very good and decent keepers will be a very strong band to have and we know as Much as anyone how quickly you can be down to 3rd choice.
-
I wonder if United fans ever thought that about Fergie, maybe they wanted a man with a bit more class, if they did they got their wish the season after he retired with disastrous consequences.
-
Most managers are better at attacking than defending or vice versa, Mourinho may not be the most attack orientated coach but on song his teams play great stuff. Take Pellegrino who's on the opposite end of the scale, he is clueless when it comes to coaching defending, give Mourinho or even Mancini/Rafa Kompany, Mangala and Otemendi with Fernandinho protecting them and our defensive record of 04/05 would be under threat.

Remy got picked vs Tel Aviv when there was no one else but so far this season there has been two games where it has been a straight fight between Falcao and Remy to start and Remy has got the nod both times and you could say, both times he has fucked up royally and was arguably the worst player on the pitch, Falcao and even Costa would have been destroyed on here if they performed like Remy did at St James but Loic seems to have a free pass, if Falcao gets picked against the Saints not even the biggest Remy advocate can complain after his shit show at Newcastle. If we are going two up top Falcao will get the nod because of his chemistry with Costa, something Remy doesn't really have, I know they didn't get much time together last season but i can see an understanding between Falcao and Costa that I didnt see at all in the all be it limited time Remy got with Diego last season. Although I would expect Remy to get chosen more often than not if we are going one up front (between him and Falcao), but the point is I don't get the big fan club with Remy, a good solid squad player but that's all he will ever be.

He wouldn't have been sackedafter winning the title, Carlo got sacked a year after because his second season was hopeless and the Di Matteo case was a complete anononmly.
