  1. Or we just do what City did twice and completely outplay them, cutting the supply line.
  2. Conte has been using him correctly since bringing him back into the side. Mourinho and Hiddink started him constantly whenever he was fit and while his uses are obvious also is his flaws and on some occasion's they stand out like a sore thumb and that's putting it mildly (that City game last year was particularly horrendous, De Bruyne constantly treated him like a training cone). Conte has been using him in games/circumstances where he can be of use and leaving him out of games where he can't and hopefully he can convince him to stay for 2/3 more years for that role.
  3. In my opinion no past success should guarantee a manager's stay, aside from Leicester our CL win was probably the most miraculous thing by a English club since the turn of the millennium (I know we spent a lot of money but we let the team get in an awful state) yet Di Matteo did bad next season and was deservedly sacked. Is it perfectly normal now? Winning the league and spending £70m should have them in a better position than 17th, no one expected them to retain it but Ranieri had the easiest expectations of a manager defending his crown, don't fuck up too badly and he did. A couple of post's here by a Leicester City fan on the 606 forum basically explains why Claudio's position became untenable, by the sound of it was almost as bad as the Jose freefall last season without the public lashing out. His comment about the United game is a good point, also when we went to the KP they matched us in the first half, it was when Alonso scored again they mentally collapsed. By the sounds of it Ranieri ripped apart the entire blueprint that made Leicester Champions and for that alone he deserved to go.
  4. Moral of the story, don't end up one point above relegation.
  5. Leicester have Spurs at the KP on 22nd April. Can't happen, can it?
  6. I can pretty confidently predict that Conte won't mentally burn out the players and have us one point of relegation in December.
  7. Even before his ACL tear i think anyone with half a brain would say he would struggle in a system that is trying to implement passing out from the back.
  8. At Wolves? Absolutely. In general over the course of the season? No.
  9. That was more in jest, but what level was that? The only level up to what he currently is is Messi/Ronaldo level. A winger who gets to teens in goals every season (last year aside) and creates numerous inroads in a game is gold dust, I dread to think this team without him, we would hit 10/11 levels of lack of creativity.
  10. No it's not, very rarely does he have a major bad game, most of his "bad games" still involve him creating chances and serious inroads for teammates, like at Anfield, five times at least he created strong attacking situations for the team which the teammates (particularly Moses) screwed up. But hey this is the new generation in football so unless you are doing 40 stepovers and shooting 20 times a games to score once or twice you are shit.
  11. I don't want to live on this planet anymore. Moment of magic then 5 shit performances
  12. Wolves striker is on a near 30 game goal drought, as was the Barnsley striker when they faced us after winning at Anfield
  13. Is Azpi on the bench? If he i get him on immediately for Terry or Zouma, this back three will be the death of us today.
  14. There's Question marks about him going forward as a full back, why would he work at wing back?
  15. No he isn't, Azpi is a better defender in every way bar leap.
  16. He could have been a squad player long term our John O Shea/Wes Brown type so to speak, but truthfully i don't miss him he had many games to put himself in the window to replace Cole and never really showed enough. Also we have to bare in mind Cole was in deep decline post 2010, if we had a younger version of him at the club, he would have been fucked. Mourinho may not be the great with youth from scratch but he has showed with Rashford he will give games to one's that have already had first team exposure and proved themselves, Ryan was more experienced than Rashford so there must have been a reason Jose didn't trust him.
  17. 57 appearances in 3 years and 3 trophies to boot, sorry mate but that's breaking though no matter what way it's spun.
  18. Even now he makes beyond ridiculous brainfarts in the final 3rd and im talking one's no pro should make.
  19. Bertrand did break through.
  20. They should make the move before its too late in the Cl.
  21. Phil Thompson's comments were worse considering when Liverpool sacked Roy Evans for Gerard Houllier the latter offered him an assistants job. Paul Merson is just a muppet, but you would think a man who's actually managed in the PL would know better.
  22. You are right it was turgid but we didn't look in danger of having a breakdown in results and i think the general consensus was Jose adapted the tactics to get job done like he did year before to secure top 4. Hull wasn't our finest hour but i still felt we were relitevely solid and weren't going to concede unless Harry Mcguire hit a unsavable long shot.
  23. Imagine if we pulled it off? The trio of Pedro, Willian and Hazard played some lovely stuff imagine swapping Willian for Dybala in that trio? Ofcourse i hope Costa and Willian stay which will just further add to rotation options.
