  1. I could be wrong but i feel he's burnt-out Rooney/Oscar style, no proper break since 2019 seems to have finally got him. Dare i say he seems to be turning into the player some people pretended he was from day one. Colwill is the one for me (out of who under 25 could potentially leave anytime soon) that will fall into that category in my opinion.
  2. It really annoys me when any under 25 linked with a departure instantly attracts those comparisons, even fucking Dom Solanke did.
  3. Not necessarily. Chilwell likes to tuck in a lot in the buildup play so a "wide" winger could actually be the perfect compliment to him.
  4. I hope so but I'm not even going to contemplate the possibility until the semi's at the absolute earliest. One thing I will say though if we actually do it after the season we've just had I'd go as far as saying we should be considered 2nd only to Real Madrid when it comes to UCL mentality, our results and performances in that competition ever since 20/21 have been nothing short of excellent.
  5. Sadly I think it's game over now for us, the February fixtures was our big chance to close the gap. I still want us to be in Europe though even if it is the conference league, in the Roman era I'd want us to avoid that one but I feel we need our first piece of silverware of the new ownership asap before it becomes a thing and that should give us as close to a guaranteed one as possible to get. Or we could win the UCL again and make everything I've just said irrelevant 🤣
  6. I mean, ofcourse there's still a lot to do in the grand scheme of things but if we're going down the "without key players" line then that mitigates pretty much every single point Potter has dropped.
  7. Could maybe have been a possibility if he didn't start the very next game. I think the extreme likelihood is Potter is taking him out of the firing line.
  8. Leadership is more than just about shouting and throwing your weight around else Neil Warnock would have become a world class coach. His elite mentality sets the standards throughout the whole club.
  9. This is the one time Lukaku's delusions of grandeur will come in handy. He's shown multiple times in his career he won't accept not being an undisputed starter, so he will find a solution.
  10. It's the right thing to do when James and Chilwell aren't fit but when they are totally different story, a back three frees them up to hurt the opponents in attack.
  11. Hopefully back three is here to stay again. Suits our squad.
  12. Not that It would be an achievement but 35 points is usually enough these days.
  13. There's literally nothing resembling evidence he said that. I'm sorry but the narratives like that one and the notion he didn't know about relegation is becoming beyond tiresome.
  14. As much as I've liked Badiashille so far, I think Colwill will be taking his place pretty quickly.
  15. With all respect to her and what she's doing, the jump from women's league even at elite level to PL is bigger than non league to PL. I'm sorry and it may not be what some want to hear but it is.
  16. Not sure I agree with that, Dortmund isn't even sold out yet and the game is next week. If as much as a quarter of the regulars voted with their feet there's not a cat in hells chance we sell out even factoring in the tourist/day trippers. Look at Arsenal fans for example, years and years they moaned about Wenger and protested to get him out to no avail, it wasn't until The Emirates was half empty they finally got their wish. Liverpool fans got Roy out using the same tactics. There's only one language billionaire owners care about and that's cash. It's not just the loss of matchday income (plus refreshement, megastore earnings etc) that will scare them shitless, the brand damage it would cause would force their hand pretty quickly.
  17. How many of those 35,000 will be lining Boehly's pockets (therefore effectively paying Potter's wages) in 5 days time? If fans really want a manager change than the strongest message that could be sent is a half empty Stamford Bridge.
  18. To be honest it's today that's turned me. Not only are we still performing badly with almost all our players avaliable we've done it in a fixture we always turn up for no matter how bad things are around it. The crucial thing is we keep the stability in terms of appointing managers who prefer a similar style. If we appoint Mou 3.0 I think ill become as close as I've ever been to giving up.
  19. I agree apart from the relegation fight, it's highly unlikely. 35 points will almost certainly be enough looking at the current standings and for everything else going wrong we still have a good defense, I would say the odds of not getting atleast 4 clean sheets in 14 games is next to none. In other words we'll be fine in that context even if we don't score again this season.
  20. He took over a team that barely survived, left the 4th, they're now 8th.
  21. Managers can't win really. If you overachieve at a lesser side it's "show us your medals" and if you then can show said medals it's "look at the teams you had even I could have done that".
  22. If (as I'm assuming is the case at this point) Mendy leaves I hope we try and sign Keylor Navas in the summer. He's looking every bit the player that won 3x UCL at Madrid so far in his time at Forest.
  23. I don't even think he's declined, he's the exact same player he's always been. Only reason it's being so emphasised now is with us and back at Inter he's being asked to play in possesion based systems, which only make his already clear and obvious shortcomings stand out even more.
  24. That would totally suck but in that scenario i wouldn't blame Potter. If we play poor in a game we rarely play poor in however that would be damming.
