As much as I would love to have Messi at the Bridge (he is for me the best) but we shouldnt be going after him (even that thoughts shouldnt linger in the board's mind). Completely agree ... thinking that we will be challenging for the title this season would be a little prematured and being carried away by the signings we're doing. This season will go into developing the team chemistry which will be so important going ahead (almost 80% of the playing 11 would be under 25). If the players turn out as expected then the season after we will geniuely be title contentors and might be scoring goals for fun (100+).

If it's a double pivot it has to be Kante - Kovacic/Mount I would lean more towards Mount... Mount has to play in the no 8 role as he has the attributes plus if Havertz is confirmed who will be our 10, Havertz & Mount would complement well because both can fit in the 8 & 10 role interchange as needed. Problem is Kante playing as the lone CDM which again we need someone like Mount/Kovacic who can cover it for Kante till Rice (iIF) is brought (one of the reasons why I dont want him to end up at CB). We could soon have a bunch of 22/23 yrs domaniting our midfield.

When he came in we werent really playing direct football but not sure if it was the first game or the second .. And if you have to compare why not compare with every player who has played in that position with similar attributes ... As a number 8 he can be compared with a 20 year old Lampard.

Mount is not a creative player ... he is more about work rate and b2b (at times) who is good going forward decent while defending. Saying that he would do a Fabregas then that would be too much of an ask. I feel Mount only get to keep his place because he offers a superb work rate along with the uncanny pace which helps to switch from defense to attack and the off the ball press which is so important for Frank's plan. If we have anyone better then him I believe Mount would get replaced,
