Superb game by us ... 4 goals and a clean sheet, what more to ask! - Surprise surprise no Mount for 90 mins - Chilwell had a brilliant debut in PL for us. The goal and his position for it was something which we're used to seeing Alonso as well but Chilwell was superb while defending which is something we didnt see often. Loved the defensive side on the left. - Defensive we were able to stay put. The star for me was Zouma ... he was solid, aggressive, commanding at times, determined. I hope he's consistent along side with rest of the defense. - Jorginho really put the shifts yesterday. It isnt a natural thing for him but he gave it more than 100% while defending at the back along with constant press. - Werner wouldnt be a 20-25 goals striker for us, our goals would be distributed among our players because we dont have a point man (my opinion) - Mount, Werner, Kante, Chilwell, James would be a crictial part of Lampard's ultra press, Ziyech and Odio are going to provide inlet into the final thrid or box while Pulisic & Tammy would be players moving directly towards the goal. - Havertz would seem to be the laziest player when compared with the other player however he is the focal point of Lampard strategy. He bring in intelligence in the game. His short precise passes, exploiting the gaps and finding that perfect through ball is what he would bring to the table. - Based on our last games, our final third transistion and finishing is still just about average. It seems that Lampard would deploy a possession style with teams who are going to dig deep while for those with attacking style we would allow them the ball and hit them on break. In both cases we are still not confident in the final third ... we need to be clincial while on the break and have to get into dangerous position while in possession. Something that we need to work and raise our level. All depends how Lampard tweaks the team and the chemistry which will decide whether we progress or regress.

That what i mentioned, he would surely have a plan some one us r able to see it as well ... if we cant see it, it's not his problem. For him he needs to deliver. Arent we talking already? And having a difference of opinion.

The point is that they dont have to come out and tell the world what is the plan ... It is left best to your imagination, if you cant see it ... fair enough, they wouldnt stop. I dont get your point ... in one instance you cry that he doesnt has a plan and compare him to likes of managers who have a definte styles and now you're sort of sympathetic that he doesnt have much years under his belt. As I said before, I'm sure Lampard knows what he is doing (I get his gameplan he is trying to put up) and if he doesnt it is going to be his head on the line. And we will have a new manager and the discussion will carry on like how we have been doing all these years post a bad game.

The bigger point I was making is that why are expecting that the coaching staff along with the Manager doesnt have a plan. Maybe we dont see it or everyone has a different interpretation about it. At the end of the day, Lampard's head is on the line not yours or mine. Again how does it matter if Lampard is able to achive better than last season. If he does, isnt that Progression!!! All the other managers which u have mentioned are in the limelight for some time now and have a style they have prefected over a period of time. Not saying Lampard doesnt has one, Lampard is wanting to play free flowing attacking brand of football ... has he prefected it, not even remotely or maybe he is the one who wants to try different things at different times. That I'm completely aligned with and seems there are gaps which needs to be filled if he has to continue with that gameplan. We really dont know what is going in Lampard's head and like I said if he doesnt deliver it is going to be his head. But completely writing him off and saying he doesnt has a plan is just pure ranting for the heck of it. And lets not talk about Klopp's Liverpool because it is not a fair comparsion ... he has being pretty much built the team and for the last 2 years has the prefect players to drive his system. I very well remember the stick that he got during his first year.

Out of curiousity, how not having a steady "system" or a starting Xl an issue for us? Last season we did finish 4th (obviously not per our standards) with the so called not steady plan ... If we finish over that this time around how does it matter till the time it's being delivered. Lampard seems to play the ultra press game through the middle while trying an overload in the opposition half, for that he uses different formations. The problem I see is that we are not clincal when it comes to finishing.

Didnt see the game after 30 mins but we're burning out players chances of injuries goes up considerably if not given rest... Werner and Mount should have been rested for yesterday game. We have a big squad and doesnt mean shit if we dont use it well. I can understand that these players serve his narrative of being tireless but cannot keep going on and on.

Honestly we dont want anyone to be better than anyone ... just need the player to do exactly what they should without making mistakes. All these are no where top 5 or top 10 so no point going into if this turns out to be better than this.

Oh come on ... AC along with Zouma has been surprising better for us over last season. As rightly said if the 2 plays at this level then no point getting Ake plus Silva is still to start.

Just want him to do the simple things right rather than complicating it. Even that would atleast reduce the goals by 10.

Disappointing game, think this game actually came in early for us specially with us still trying to intergrate everything and they bringing Thiago at half time to provide him match practise. There was too many issues but at the same I feel there were some positives and we can envision what Lampard wants from the team. Last year it was possession based starting from back this year we're trying long balls. Defensively we're getting better if we get out Christensen lack of experience on the foul and Kepa's usual howler. In the first half, on possession we played it very safe and still tried to exploit the gaps between the players which was interesting. With Pulisic, Ziyech and Havertz getting to the number 10 ... there will more players getting in the final third to pressure the opposition. I think for all those we think we need to sell Kante, this game shows that the shift he puts in there which so few players can match ... i hope he stays fit and Lampard uses him intelligently in terms of playing him over the season. After saying all this the only regret would be that we gave them too much respect after we went one down. But hoping we get into the groove at the earliest

Maybe it is more from the end that you took our young players lets take urs I feel this could be more from an investment view, if games are divided between Gnabry and Odoi and if he clicks, PL clubs would come in for him at a higher ceiling.

How is it going? From our situation where we were, I say not bad at all. Every players has his flaws, if we have to analyse our players for last season then we will find everyone "partly" to be blamed for one thing or the other. I never said Mount is perfect, there are flaws which can rectified and if not Mount in our current setup then who? We already have changed half of the team ... do we keep changing and chopping the squad every season and sometime we need to believe in a player which we havent till now. For the goal that we conceded yest for which he could have put his foot ... there always be divided opinions. I for one wouldnt want anyone putting anything unless it is a solid stop. Had he put his foot and it would have deflected into the goal these pundits would had been tearing him down.
