It comes with having a lot of money and going for the best you can get, the same thing happens to City, Real, PSG and the other clubs that are well known to spend whatever it takes. At least the club is actually buying quality and wasting money on average English players with inflated prices or ending up with the third or fourth choice for the right wing because we didn't want to pay more than 25 mil.

It would be a gamble to not take advantage of the status as the european champions and get the best the club can right now, Roman don't want to risk losing out on Champions League like the club very nearly did. Marin, De Bruyne and Sturridge will still only have one injury/suspension or one player from the starting line up getting rested and they would start, considering the amount of games a English team plays a season they will get quite a lot of play time. Lukaku could be screwed quite a bit here though, should maybe be loaned out. The squad needs depth like the other big clubs in premier league and we are getting that.

He was probably asking for a source not being able to find the news and in the meantime of no one answering found it himself.
-
Well back in 2010 I would say Liverpool would have had a decent shot at signing him.
-
That's a bit early to say...
-
Wiki lol Probably. Would mean that Sturridge would be used as a center forward as he has always wanted to, doubt he will get too much time on the right wing with Hulk and Marin (and Kevin De Bruyne? Still not quite sure if he's purely left and central)
-
If he can keep off too many hamburgers.
-
I wouldn't be too sure. Lukaku might be a good bit taller than him and also muscled up but damn... At the very least he would put in a good fight.
-
Yup I wouldn't be too surprised either, Roman clearly wants to use the status as the European champions to get some real fucking quality in this window.

If by really real you mean really fake, I agree. It was a great season, more than just decent and the only thing keeping Cologne from complete collapse. Podolski is great when he gets to play center forward, so when RVP goes I am sure he will do well. He won't do well on the wing though, which both Bayern and the national team has already proven.
-
He was playing less than 24 hours ago in Washington against the US, so would imagine he's still there.
-
If anything I bet De Laurentiis will demand even more money for a man like Cavani and while I know close to nothing about spanish football, it would seem weird if they would be willing to sell Falcao for any less than they bought him for, which was also a huge price. Cavani in Chelsea shirt would make me hard though, very hard.
-
That we got one bargain hardly means another player won't be worth 8 mil more. If there was another player that could both play wing and Matas position we could get for 24 mil, I am sure the club would, but the market dictates the prices, would you really rather have another season with Kalou or Malouda out there? Can't wait for the kid to shut everyone up.
-
Well other than Jermaine Jones tackle, of course. He is and always will be a shit head.

Can't we just sign this guy? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2151983/HULK-use-permanent-paint-paint-come-OFF-Wannabe-superhero-left-red-faced-staining-green-missile-paint.html

18 assists this season (in all competitions). Football line ups is usually a good site for that http://www.football-lineups.com/footballer/26407/

Well I have no idea how the Portuguese shareholders laws are, but that is certainly not how they are here when Copenhagens management has discussed this before (it took the club nearly 24 hours to inform the shareholders about the sale of William Kvist to Stuttgart, they were reported but won the case). More than willing to believe it is fake though...
-
As soon as it's done in a reasonable time frame of course. Not saying the twitter rumors are true, doubt it, but that the shareholders haven't been informed yet isn't exactly proof of it. Yeah it really does seem pretty dodgy, even after that journalist claimed it was legit... But why the fuck wouldn't he have his account verified?

Nike sure have played around with gradient tool, haha. It looks terrible, it's Nike so what you expect, but usually not that bad.

Messi hit the post too... But I'm not saying that it was a genius tactic or anything, that wasn't my point, just that it wasn't as useless as some make it out to be. What I am saying is that on any other day it could have easily been Barca going through, think Chelsea fully deserved it in the end with that fight.
-
Well they missed a penalty and so on... So it's not like the their plan a was completely useless...
-
So you're doubting Pep because of peoples unreasonable and weird expectations? Doesn't make sense. I'm more than assured that if Pep comes in he won't play a system that doesn't fit the team, it will be a slow process to play more attacking football.
-
One man will certainly not be enough to change the football philosophy at Chelsea, at least not to something like in Barcelona. I'm not one of those that think the way Barca plays is the most fantastic thing ever, but what they do is something that they have been working on with generations of players. I don't think Pep will be stupid and try and completely reform the club if he comes, it's a slow transition, everyone knows that. You're doubting a man that has won I don't even know how many trophies with Barca because he didn't reform the club. Our current manager who just won us CL is a west brom reject who not even Birmingham wanted and he sure didn't reform Chelsea or show any signs of wanting to do so, he went back to the old Mourinho roots.
-
That's a very premature statement. He hasn't managed anyone but barcelona yet, lets face it : Their tactic worked for the 3 first seasons and it's the style the whole club is based around. Of course they should have a plan b, but problem is they just haven't had the player for it this season, with Zlatan they did (and that showed he isn't completely Bielsa crazy and set in stones with his tactics) but we all know how that ended up...
