I can understand when others who don't watch Chelsea regularly go on about how Luiz is a liability and makes a couple big mistakes every game because that's the reputation he's gotten, but when even Chelsea fans claim the same it shocks me a bit. Luiz was our BEST CB this past season, and this isn't an opinion, it's a FACT! And, even if someone bids 40M for him, why would you sell your best CB? Teams like Swansea etc. sell their best CB not Chelsea. You sell Luiz as he's reaching his prime, what precedent are you setting? Damn sure, people like Hazard, KDB, Oscar will bring it up if they ever want to leave.

Yeah I think Neymar made the right choice in choosing Spain. He'll have a good career, yeah he might be a little overrated but dude is still class and has ridiculous potential and he'll fit right in at any big team. Gotta commend him on his mental toughness considering the amount of pressure he's always under for such a young guy. Seems like a nice enough dude and works hard. Damn so fast! Didn't even expect a response let alone all the stats. 2 out 10 from Azpi then not bad. But overall, pretty poor from us as a team. 7 goals in an entire season from crosses in the PL, yikes. Hopefully better striker next year and we can score more because Oscar and Mata both put in some sexy crosses on a regular basis. Azpi as well can put it on a dime when he has a target.

Sexy left foot cross to Eden against WBA I think. 2. Low cross to Eden against Wigan. 3. Sweeet early cross to Torres against Villa 4. ?

Isco fits Spain's tiki-taka better than Mata imo. I am a little surprised Barca isn't in for him, but I think City is also a very good choice for him because their play style will suit him more than ours or Real Madrid. And, I also agree that Hazard would turn out to be a better player than Mata, he was arguably already ahead by last season's end but DEM STATS by Mata are just impossible to ignore. I mean other than Messi and Ronaldo those stats he put up last year were unreal!! At the end of the day, goals and assists make the difference and there isn't any attacking mid better than Mata imo.

We only let Sturridge leave because the alternative was him leaving on a free this summer. Getting 12M for someone with 6 months on his contract was a STEAL!! I'm certain if his contract wasn't running out this summer the board wouldn't have let him leave. Like him or not, he would have been a fantastic squad player (but he obv wasn't happy with that, maybe a better manager could have convinced him to stay). Plus beginning of the season he was battling injuries (he is injury prone it seems, even at Liverpool) hence why he couldn't overthrow Torres, otherwise I def think he's better than Torres.

Yeah, it seems whenever we're linked with even the shittiest players everyone goes ape-shit and acts like even the most average players are better than our current ones but once we actually sign a player everyone gets super critical and complain about transfer free, other better players available and what not. I guess that's partly due to some big misses made by the board but the recent stellar signings will hopefully restore everyone's faith.

How many RBs really are that much better than Azpi that we can realistically target? I can't think of 2. LB is the fullback position we should be addressing before we ever considering replacing Azpi. Yeah, he can't dribble much and his crossing is hit or miss. He still has a decent number of assists from his crosses. His biggest asset is that he's a rock defensively and he is at least 10 times better than Cole in our build-up. He's a better passer than our entire midfield lol.

Here's a crazy thought. Instead of replacing our best CB, why don't we replace our worst one? Hmm..if we keep doing that maybe then our defence will improve. I can't remember the last time Luiz made a mistake resulting in a goal.

He does drive forward from the midfield and has very good movement. Gets himself into very nice positions. Passing is pretty good but has to improve if he wants to play in the midfield.
