  1. Take off Ramires, might get a yellow and get suspended for the next stage. Put on Luiz or Mikel.
  2. Newcastle played like little assholes. That handball goal was a disgrace. Their second goal was a very very bad error from RLC, bad back pass. Chelsea goals on the other hand were absolute beauties. Boga had a BEAST of a winner. Hope there are highlights, def worth watching for everyone else.
  3. Like others have said, not averse to keeping him on for another season. Seems to have a good relationship with Hazard and the team. Can still play at a good level in spurts. Keep him on as 2nd or 3rd choice.
  4. Ramires is not playing RW. Not sure if you're watching or just going by the lineup posted somewhere. It's a 4-3-3.
  5. The pace of the english game is the reason. Always looks half a step slower than everyone else.
  6. He was shocking until he scored. Gotten better since.
  7. I wanted to get in on this on ISH too but I don't know enough about football history and don't want to be that guy who ruins the draft by picking Azpi haha.
  8. He might not turn into a world class player but he works hard and seems to be a player Mou would like working with. I can definitely see him carve out a squad role at least.
  9. I called this before the season started. It was stupid to keep him here. Teenage defenders were never and will never break into a top tier EPL team. It was just stupid to think he would. Should have let him go on loan.
  10. They win. Goal difference is the tie-breaker in the premier league.
  11. Video of this interview? NICE!! Wilmots is legend! Respect.
  12. That's Hazard? Looks a bit like him but not sure it is him.
  13. Southampton had enough chances to not only equalize but score like 3-4 goals. Liverpool get gifted 1 and horrid defending for the second. 2 chances, 2 goals, game over. Didn't have to work for it at all.
  14. Amazing Lamps interview! MUST MUST READ!! http://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/frank-lampard-one-one
  15. I will always be in awe at how this dude is better at free kicks with his weaker foot than 90% of footballers are with their stronger foot. Really hope he makes it here, love watching him play.
  16. Def more blame to Cech there imo. If you rely on CBs to clear from 5 yards out then you're asking for own goals.
  17. There definitely has been an improvement and was obvious in previous games but not lately. It's because they don't do this on instinct, hence the inconsistency. They have to be asked to make those runs but don't always see them. Hazard's off the ball movement this year has been 10 times better than previous years. Willian also makes great supporting runs so I don't think it's too bad of an issue, I just think they are all a little off form.
  18. Yup, problem is we have some great technical players but to play in that manner you want everyone to possess at least decent enough technical ability to do the basics. Players like Ivan, Cole, Cahill, Ramires, Mikel, Lamps, always need a lot of time before they are able to make decisions. So even if Hazard and Willian play a quick 1-2 and Hazard passes it to Ramires the move breaks down. Like you said, doesn't happen with Madrid, or even teams like Liverpool, Arsenal, City etc. Even if man by man some of these teams may not be as good as ours but they field a squad of 11 where majority can play quick 1 touch passing and have a decent enough first touch. In that sense, our counter-attacking approach isn't that bad because we just don't have the squad to control possession and create chances by quick 1 touch passing. It'll take some time and some new players but we can get there. Matic is a good start. Luke Shaw would be a good addition also cause then we'd have two good full backs with the ball. Add one more midfielder and obviously a technical striker and we're good to go imo. And I know Giroud gets a lot of hate in the media but I think he'd be great for our attacking mids because he links up so well with the Arsenal attackers, his 1-2 are exceptional. Doesn't score a lot of goals, but neither do any of ours who he'd be replacing. Not sure Arsenal would get rid of him, but I wouldn't mind him as second choice here.
  19. You're comparing him to Matic, not sure why. No one is saying he's better than Matic, not even close. People are just saying he was put on to do a job and he did what was asked of him so the intense criticism isn't really warranted after a decent enough performance. If it was really just about him then why not make these posts two days ago?
  20. You've never heard "hating" used as a slang? Not sure why it's so hard to comprehend that your definition of hate isn't the same as mine in the context I've used it in. Hating is often used as slang when one overly criticizes someone for no apparent reason. I don't mean they despise him and wish bad things unto him. Simply that some Chelsea fans aren't Mikel fans.
  21. There is nothing wrong with criticizing Mikel. Imo he is just a good squad player and no one is saying he is amazing. But to bring up the same shit whenever he plays, even after a good performance is a waste of time.
  22. Well I didn't mean they hate him, but people def have got it in for him when this thread is more active than others who performed far worse. And people aren't just pointing out issues they have with him, if that was the case then it'd be fine, but they are actually criticizing his performance yesterday. And the criticism is pathetic too, like he passed back to Azpi who had to clear has been brought up 10 times, finding the most ridiculous of examples to criticize a decent enough performance. I don't think that is warranted at all. And of course, people can post their opinions, but in my opinion some are obviously hating.
  23. Some obvious haters here. Maybe he passed back to Azpi so he had to clear. How many times did others pass back to Cech so he could launch it? Like him or not but he was a good sub and def helped control possession. Mou took off Schurrle for him so it should he clear that he just wanted to control some possession and get out with the draw. If you don't think we had more possession since his introduction then you clearly didn't watch the match and I don't need stats to prove that, just watch the last 25 mins. Not saying more possession means good possession but he was put on help keep possession and maintain the result and he did his job. Did he earn himself a start? No. But he doesn't deserve hate for yesterday's cameo.
  24. Not sure what to expect with the new manager. Regardless, I don't see them doing anything that would trouble us. If we drop points it'll be due to wastefulness in front of goal, no other way. But I imagine we'd at least get 1 and grab 3 points.
  25. haha may well have been 30% but your post confirmed 100% attainment
