Disagree 200%, this thread was 80% about 110% effort and 10% about the bad performance and 10% about the decent result and the remaining 7% about people trolling.
-
That's because if someone shows even a slight bit of disappointment in our performance, they get 5 replies back telling em off. Some in here are clearly very insecure about our performance.
-
But can something be improved by 1001%? And, what if I give 100% effort but then give a tiny bit more effort, maybe the tiny bit won't make it 110% but I'm sure it would make it at least 105% effort. So I'm sorry you're wrong, 150% wrong.

Jose actually said in his interview that Torres and Schurrle were the best attackers but he had to take both off because Torres was exhausted and Schurrle had a yellow card.
-
We don't have to be entertaining and there is no problem in playing for a result in an away tie but why can't we do that by controlling possession even if it's not incisive. Why can't we do it where we at least look like we are a good team. We got a result today but it was get bodies back, win the ball and hoof the ball forward. You've got Torres, Hazard, Willian, Schurrle running more miles than they've made passes, that's pathetic.
-
Should have killed the game in the first 30 mins. I can understand playing on the counter to some extent but how can we be so technically inept that we can't even control possession and put them under pressure? I don't recall a moment we put them under pressure through controlled possession. I guess though that is expected to some extent when you play a pivot of Lampard and Ramires. Good result, bad performance.
-
Like the lineup, the pivot is very attacking but getting an away goal is vital, even 2-1 loss is a good result. That said, I hope Schurrle is on LW, whenever he starts with Hazard he ends up playing RW but he's useless there imo. Play him LW and Hazard RW with Willian in the middle.

Good question. I was going to say Matic but he wouldn't have traveled with the team. Maybe someone from the staff?
-
From what I've read, Benfica owns 50% of him and the other 50% by a 3rd party. But we have first refusal for Benfica's 50% at 7.5M, so basically 15M first refusal if he's every sold. He's hard working and technically very good but not sure about his physicality, if he can improve that he's definitely a good player, has very good vision, something we lack currently. Not a bad option in the future possibly. But what I don't understand is how we end up with a first refusal? What did we possibly give up to get that first refusal?

lol roy keane lashing out at carrick's interview haha

Really don’t understand why Moyes doesn’t make some changes. Why play so deep? Why try to build form the back when you are so deep and your midfielders and wingers aren’t willing to drop deep to build-up? Why play a 4-4-2 where the only CM who wants to hold is too slow and yet you still allow your fullbacks to bomb forward? They play way too wide as well, each teammate has at best a passing option 30 yards away, get tighter control possession at least, play small passes. That said, you gotta question the desire of the players too, it's not like it's just Moyes' fault.

wow what a goal!! joel campbell

lol how many united deflections has turned into goals this season edit - oh maybe not a deflection but rather a deliberate flick, nicely done actually
-
lol i love the guardian live commentaries united lineup: Man Utd: De Gea; Smalling, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra; Cleverley, Carrick; Valencia, THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND POUNDS A WEEK, Young; Van Persie. Subs: Lindegaard, Giggs, Hernandez, Welbeck, Kagawa, Buttner, Fellaini.

OMG OMG OMG just scored a 30 yard wonder goal!! Took it first time and right in the top left corner, my god!!!!
-
Just scored a beautiful free-kick against AC Milan in the UEFA youth league. What a beast this dude is from set pieces.
-
57M is still a hell of a lot of money. I haven't been watching much Barca but how has he been playing?
-
It's pretty amazing how fast he's recovered from a torn ACL. Careers are derailed and some even end prematurely due to torn ACLs and this dude recovers in 5-6 months. Unreal. All the praise to Cheslea medical team and him though, that is one of the fastest torn ACL recoveries I've ever heard of in professional sports.
-
I end giving him a second assist on a lot of our goals. Dude makes so many good run to open up spaces. That's not to say he shouldn't be scoring and assisting too, but to say he's only valuable for his defensive work is misguided.
-
I love Jags, the new ones are nice but my favourite is the 2003 XJR. I've been looking for a nice for a while. Might actually be close to getting one soon. One of the sexiest sedans of all time!
-
Strongest lineup probably and welcome back Torres!
-
DM1 - Fernandinho, Gustavo DM2 - Paulinho, Hernanes, Ramires Fernandinho - Paulinho should be first choice imo. Paulinho - Hernanes if you want to go offensive Paulinho - Ramires if you want to defend deeper and play on the counter I wish Chelsea had bought Hernanes, I like him a lot.

I think it's ok not to ban Toure. Yeah he kicked out a bit, but it wasn't that bad just a bit of frustration. The problem is if he escapes a ban for that reason then the same reason should be applied to everyone else too. Several other bans were handed out for less.
