Don't be daft, Lampard in the holding role would be an unmitigated disaster. Scholes can play the holding role because his passing allows him to. Lampard is a box to box midfielder and nothing more.
-
Because everybody says hey Drogba is too old lets kick him out and build for the future. Lampard is only 3 months younger than Drogba. Lets kick him and build for the future. Only fair right?
-
Is it really Kalou's twitter? Good. Now I need to register a twitter account and abuse him for being rubbish
-
I know he is a very good passer of the ball, long and short and he is creative i.e. he doesn't make the simple and obvious sideways pass. You will see that he trys to pass through gaps with precision and the passes more often than not connect. He also has a sweet left foot and is a penalty taker. I'd take out Lampard and replace him with Sahin in a heartbeat if I was in charge of these things. I would love us to sign him ut you just know we won't. He doesn't seem to fit the clubs prototype of players i.e. a 6'2 athlete with energy and speed. The sooner we move away from being a rich mans Stoke and start getting proper ball players like Sahin the better. This is the type of player I'd love to see McEachran link up with in he future.

But that doesn't make any sense. Surely you would want to give those minutes to development strikers like Sturridge or Borini. Why do we need a 25 year old waste who is never going to improve those precious minutes? Do you see what Sturridge is doing? Do you honestly think Kalou can go on loan to another Premier League club and have the impact Sturridge is? Bolton would laugh at him and send him back to us within a few hours. He has nothing to offer them let alone a club like ours that has ambition of being amongst the best. Let me ask you a question and be honest. Do you think Kalou would even make the Utd bench? He wouldn't get near it. That tells you everything you need to know.
-
Well this just isn't true is it? You saw that last night in black and white. He came on and embarrassed himself. Good squad player my arse.
-
How about we keep Drogba and tell Kalou and Anelka to f*ck off? He is better than both of them.
-
We'll have none of that common sense thank you. Lampsy is a club legend. He should be first team for another 10 years. So what if all he does is run up and down very slowly and shoot from 30 yards? He is Super Frank!
-
Sorry but no. His passing is far from fine. If you don't believe me ask Torres.
-
If the league was as weak as last year and we had such an easy run the FA Cup then I think he would have. Ancelotti is ordinary in every sense.
-
You know somebody who was under the tutelage of Mourinho will have something about him. I doubt Ancelotti would have led Porto to the league title with 5 weeks to spare and to the semis of the Europa league.
-
He was our worst player last night. It was touch and go between him and Kalou (another shambolic 30 minute cameo from this joker) but Lampard just nicked it. In fact he was arguably our worst player over the two legs. He is soon to be 33 and is clearly on the way down. It is time to put him out of his misery and significantly reduce his playing time. The sad reality is that it won't happen. He will continue to stink the place up because he is Lampard and sentiment will mean he it is allowed to continue for another two years.
-
If Kalou is still here next season the club will not be getting a SINGLE PENNY from me next season.
-
Wilkins is a joke. If he was any good he would still be at the club. He was nothing more than a translator whose contract had expired. Just listening to some of the things he says on Sky confirms he is a f*cking sh*thouse.
-
The possibility of winning the champions league is higher if you have a strong squad that is competitive week in week out in the domestic league. To think you can get by with a small squad full of rubbish like Kalou and Zhirkov and chance your way to winning the champions league is just pathetic. F*ck off Ancelotti. And Lamaprd is becoming a massive problem but nobody even dares question him. Even a half-fit Yossi would have better control and vision under pressure. You see Giggs popping the ball about and creating angles and Lampard can barely control the ball under any pressure.
-
I'd let her corrupt me as well to be honest.

Cech 7 Ferreira 5 Ivanovic 7 Luiz 6 Ashley 6 Ramires 6 Mikel 6 Lampard 3 Malouda 5 (only the goal saved him from a much lower score) Drogba 6 Anelka 3 Benayoun 6 Torres 6

Grant was just a stop gap. He was never going to be the Chelsea manager. In fact was he even that? Ten Cate and Clarke did all the work imo. Grant was just the guy doing the interviews. Scolari failed and was rightly sacked. Hiddink was a stop gap and was never likely to stay. So two long term managers fired (Mourinho + Scolari) and Ancelotti effectively replaced Scolari.
-
Who would you let go of this summer in order to get replacements?
-
Ashley would. The thing is none of our midfield or forward players currently are even mentioned in a discussion about the best players in the world. That tells it's own story.
-
Justin 3d seems a pretty militant pro-Carlo guy kinda guy lol. I'd like to see McEachran play some part against Wigan. We're out of the title race and it'd be wise to give one of the midfielders a rest.
-
Ramires, Luiz and Torres aren't the problem. Malouda, Lampard, Zhirkov, Essien and co are the problem. If none of these players can pass the ball or create anything then there's not much Ancelotti can do.
