I don't think Lampard has the ability to become a deep-lying playmaker like Scholes has.

This mentor/leader thing is overrated. After this season Lampard should no longer be a first choice player.

I'd keep Mikel, Josh and Ramires and add more quality. Lampard is finished and Essien is heading the same way.

Torres doesn't look lazy. In fact he is hungry to score goals. The problem is....WE ARE RUBBISH. We hardly create any decent chances, there is no width, no decent crosses. Just awful football and he should never have signed for a team that plays this badly because we're making him look worse with every game. A player like Drogba is a loose cannon who can create for himself which is why he has done well for us. But Torres relies on service to him, without that he is ordinary. Torres will only shine when we improve the rubbish midfield and lack of wingers in our team. Until then he is going to continue to play like this, running around aimlessly because he has f**k all service.

Malouda must be on a incredible goal-bonus contract going by his numerous attempts from impossible angles in the last 20 or so minutes tonight. I remember when he used to cross and get assists. Now it's almost all about goals for him with little interest in build up play or creating for others. What happened to the Malouda of 2 years ago? Zhirkov was rubbish tonight as well. Two out of form wingers, brilliant.Should we try Luiz there?

Shocking midifeld tonight. Honestly if the club sold the lot of them and bought in a whole new group of midfielders I wouldn't criticise them for doing so.

It depends on who leaves. I think Ferreira is a goner for sure in the summer, possibly one of Anelka or Kalou will be leaving too. All the foreign spots in the squad are taken. So the club have to be smart. We have 3 players capable of playing right-back, Ivanovic and Bosingwa have signed new deals so it makes perfect sense to let Ferreira go and use his place in the squad for a midfielder/attacker.

Bosingwa is our best right back. Ashley Cole is our best left back. That leaves us with 4 CBs to chose from. In previous years it would be Terry + 1. But I'd really like to see: Bosingwa - Ivanovic - Luiz - Ashley Cole That would be epic. :champions:

Well duh. It's to be expected considering he was starting from scratch and working for a club with unlimited resources. With the amount of money he has spent and his various promotions he should have something more tangible to show than 'reforming an academy' that pretty much never existed before he came!

Doesn't take much scouting ability to spot the most highly rated youngsters and barge in with Roman's money. Anyways we'll see how many of 'his' players become useful to the Chelsea senior squad, I doubt it will be more than 1 or 2. And let's keep in mind that McEachran, by far and away the best young player at the club, was already here before Arnesen arrived.

Luiz is going to give me a heart attack sooner or later. He does some great things but he looks to always be on the verge of doing something incredibly silly. Maybe that's why we all like him :champions:

I humble myself in front of all of you. I called Ramires all sorts and thought he was one of the worst buys ever. He is looking half decent to be fair. Although I still wouldn't play him in central midfield. He quite clearly is at his best in a wider right-sided role. He isn't a true CM, he is a RMF player with incredible ability to run with the ball. His passing and control isn't the best but it should get better.

No doesn't sound like Malouda at all. In the Copenhagen game he was desperately trying to play Torres in to get him a goal. I think Torres just makes such great runs and most of our playes are incapable of getting the ball to him so they hold on to it and the moment is gone.

If a new manager thinks that way then I'd suggest we let the boys manage themselves.
